I had tried Wool & Knots for cleaning some small rugs, and things went well. Then, I decided to try something a little more complicated, preparing some small rugs to be hung on the wall. That did not go so well.
The first time I picked up the rugs, it appeared that the rugs were mounted on sturdy wooden rods for hanging, and it looked good! Then, I realized that the wooden rod was attached to each rug with sticky backed velcro! "Stickum" was used to mount the rugs! I discovered that when one of the rugs fell off the wall. When I took it back, the proprietor admitted right away that adhesive was NOT the way to attach the rugs. He talked about how the rugs must have a sewn attachment. I imagined that the wooden rods would go through a fabric sleeve.
The second time I picked up the rugs, I saw that they had simply nailed the rugs to the wooden rod, with three nails for each rug. That's what I paid $180 for? 9 nails?
This is not disastrous, but it is NOT GOOD. I could have done that myself. I was expecting a sewn cloth sleeve for each rug.
I will not be coming back. read more
