Came out 1 time to extract water and remove padding from 12 x 12 area near broken water heater. They were here for 30 minutes. Placed fan to dry area. Returned 1 week later to reattach carpet. Again here for 30 minutes. Sent a crew of 4 people, 2 of which did the work. The others observed!! Received the bill 1 week later. The same day I received the bill the owner calls up wanting to know when I was going to pay my $700 plus bill. When I told her how exorbitant I thought the bill was she became loud, defensive and obnoxious. Stay away from this carpet company. I told her I would give her my credit card number and give her a poor review. She refused to take my number and said she would call me back when I was more civilized . VERY reasonable prices, polite, humble service. They picked up two silk-covered, expensive (Henredon) Louis XV chairs that were in a smoker's house for 40 years. I had two Aubusson rugs, one very large and they had never been cleaned. Now they look just like I purchased them yesterday. I'm still in shock at the extraordinary level of customer service!! First, they squeezed me in to clean a rug that had pet stains before Thanksgiving. The following week when the carpet still smelled from the chemicals they used, they offered to come back the day before Thanksgiving to rinse it. But because I have a child with chronic illness coming home, I decided to put the rug in the garage till after the holidays. When I called to reschedule they offered to pick the rug up and take it to really clean and rinse it free of charge. I've used this company for years and will plan to do so going forward. read more

I am very pleased with Normandy Carpet Care. I was renting a three-story, 3 bedroom townhouse with a basement here in Gaithersburg and I needed to get the carpets professionally cleaned to get my security deposit back. Craig, the general manager, came over to our house very quickly and provided me with an estimate. Our house was going to be totally empty and no furniture needed to be moved, so he said it would be fairly quick for his team to complete the job. He was professional and very understanding, especially when I needed to change the date and time of my cleaning two times. Victor and his co-worker arrived at my house 10 minutes earlier than our scheduled appointment. We walked through the house one more time and then they started to work. The work included vaccuuming and using hot water extraction to steam clean the whole house, including the closets and more than 3 sets of stairs. It is raining all day today so the carpets will be wet until tomorrow. The job was done in 2.5 hours and Victor called my cellphone when they were finished. The carpets looked better than when we moved in to the place and if you need to get your carpets cleaned, I highly recommend giving Normandy Carpet a call. read more

After using them for years there service is now unacceptable. Unsure if this is because Richard their long term plant manager retired. Since this time they have ruined two of my rugs. Most recently as recent as last week. Carol at Normandy stated my rug shrank and was returned with tattered/curled edges because my Mitchell Gold rug was cheap. She kept on repeating that my rug was cheap (5x8 for $1,000). They've become rude and unprofessional. Beware of using their services. read more

Normandy Carpet offers excellent, high quality services at reasonable prices. Adrian and his assistant, Andrew, did a fine job cleaning four chairs, a love seat, a couch, and a very dirty den carpet. Two of the chairs have expensive silk upholstery which they very carefully dry-cleaned, removing a stubborn olive oil stain from one of the chairs. Adrian and Andrew were highly professional and courteous, and their efforts were very much appreciated.
