The staff is knowledgeable and the class is interesting and the yarn is versatile and above all the place is clean

I had gotten into Summit on Sunday and was excited to buy some of their yarn. The lights were on and the door open when I passed the store, but when I walked in an elderly woman with a wedge haircut informed me that the shop was closed. As far as I could see, before I was abruptly shown the door, the yarn selection was a lot of cheap and tacky Cascade product. Save your money and go to a yarn store where the management actually wants to make money. read more

Great selection of yarns, patterns an accessories. The Fred times I popped in everyone was very nice and friendly and I really liked the way the ship was set up. Unfortunately parking is very difficult in that area- street parking. read more

This store is my happy place. I've learned to knit here and look forward to my weekly class. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and couldn't be more helpful (and I need a lot of help) They encourage me to challenge myself with more involved projects and are always there to guide me when choosing a new endeavor. The store itself was nice but when I go to local yarn shops what I enjoy the most is interacting with the employees. That just didn't happen here. Myself and a few other shoppers were ignored while employees taught a class in the back. Eventually we were able to catch an employee to help us, but it's absolutely free to provide welcoming customer service - why not just at least greet customers with a hello when they come in? With the prices high and the yarn from big companies that you can find many other places, personally I'd rather buy my yarn elsewhere and support a more friendly shop. read more

100% worth the drive, the people there were so kind and welcoming to this total newbie, even looking at my project and helping me fix it while giving tips along the way! It was so helpful to have expert advice on yarn and tools, and they were so patient and supportive with me starting out with no knowledge! What a perfectly lovely yarn store! I stopped in for the first time on a Friday afternoon with a grumpy child in tow. Despite this inauspicious beginning, both staff were wonderfully sympathetic and kind. I was greeted as soon as I walked in and checked on again after I'd had a chance to look around. Said child sulked on the window seat for a while making complaining noises and then miraculously decided to come around. So instead having to rush shop and get out, I got to admire and pet a whole slew of sumptuous skeins. The selection here is top notch--Brooklyn Tweed, Madelinetosh, Malabrigo, Anzula, and many more. I ended up with 3 skeins of Hikoo for a baby sweater and 2 skeins of tosh merino light just because. Each base I looked at was well stocked with a wide variety of colors. Prices are in line with what good yarn costs and I appreciated the large tables to sit around and lay stuff out on. And this might sound random but the lighting was just right for comparing colors and taking a few quick stash photos for Ravelry. Truly a pleasant and welcoming experience all around. On the car ride home, the kid said that it was the nicest yarn store he'd ever been to (and trust me, I've dragged him to plenty) so it's got the seal of approval from both a knitter and a 7 year old boy. When I say I'm a novice knitter, I really really mean it. I once tried to make a hat and ended up with an inescapable tangle that I had to be cut out of (true story) So when I decided to try again, I knew I was going to need to call in the big guns. Luckily, the wonderful staff at Wool and Grace was there to help. Everyone I spoke to was patient, knowledgeable, and approachable, and sent me off with a pattern yarn and needles at a great price. I ended up at Wool & Grace after finding out the Chatham yarn store had closed, and I'm so glad I did. Located right in the center of Summit, the store is beautiful and ready to serve you for all your knitting and crocheting needs. I do not knit (I was there with my mother, who does) but the warm, inviting atmosphere made me want to take it up as a hobby! Not only do they offer a ton of different yarn types and colors, but they have pattern books, magazines, and in store classes and seminars for their customers. read more

This was my first time in the store. Both women who assisted me were extremely nice and helpful - they went above and beyond the service I've experienced in other knit shops. They helped me figure out which yarn and yardage would be appropriate for an upcoming project. I could spend hours in this store, it's a very comfortable place with good vibes and friendly faces. I visited Wool and Grace while on vacation in Summit. What a gem! Patty (the owner?) was so cheerful, and very helpful in finding just the right yarn selection for my project. So many beautiful textures and colors. There was a private knitting lesson going on in the next room and, from what I could hear, the instructor was quite knowledgeable and patient. There were a number of samples displayed to showcase patterns and yarns. A wonderful find for anyone looking for premium yarns.
