I am extremely disappointed not only with the floral arrangement I received, but especially with how this business handled my concerns afterward. I ordered the Stargazer Abound Deluxe arrangement as a recovery gift for someone hospitalized at Baylor Scott & White. Their website states that the arrangement pictured is the Standard size and that the Deluxe option includes additional flowers to enhance the bouquet. The arrangement delivered appeared significantly less full than even the Standard arrangement pictured. When I called to express my concern, I was repeatedly told that the flowers were fresh and expensive and was even told "this is not fast food." I understand that flowers are a natural product and substitutions may be necessary. I was not expecting every flower to be identical. My concern was that I paid for a Deluxe arrangement and what was delivered did not appear comparable in fullness or floral content to the Standard arrangement they advertise. I was told they could pick up the flowers and issue a refund. I specifically stated that I did NOT agree to having the flowers picked up. They had already been delivered to a hospitalized patient as a recovery gift, and I felt it would be inappropriate and embarrassing to take them away from the recipient. Despite my clearly declining that option, I later learned that the florist went to the hospital and retrieved the flowers anyway. After discovering that the flowers had been taken back, I called the business to request the refund. During that call, they hung up on me. At this point, this is no longer simply about being dissatisfied with a floral arrangement. A recovery gift was retrieved from a hospitalized recipient after I specifically said I did not agree to that resolution, and when I subsequently called regarding the refund, my call was ended by the business. What should have been a simple customer-service issue became an upsetting and embarrassing experience. I have retained photographs of the advertised Standard arrangement, the arrangement that was actually delivered, and documentation showing that I purchased the Deluxe option. I am sharing my experience so other customers can make an informed decision, particularly when ordering flowers for a loved one in the hospital. read more

Arrangements are Beautiful and Frank is a Hoot! :) This is the second time I have ordered with Woods Flowers. Both times I have called and Frank has taken my order. It really is worth it just to call and talk with Frank :) He is fun and has a good-nature; made me laugh :) I highly recommend calling any florist to be sure they can deliver to your address and see what flowers they have in stock versus ordering online. I often receive a much better arrangement and service this way. Frank looked up the arrangement, "English Garden," I saw on their website, and checked to see if they had the flowers in stock. He said this arrangement's stock flowers had arrived that morning on the truck. Yay! I was pleased, as the flowers would be quite fresh. He helped me with the card, and set up the delivery. When I asked to upgrade to the next tier, he was happy to oblige. He commented that the wooden box would be quite pretty with this arrangement, and that it adds a more modern look. The arrangement arrived on schedule, and the recipient was very surprised and pleased. It lifted her spirits :) They added some lovely roses, hydrangeas, and orchids, with a great deal of flowers tucked all in it. The succulents look super and that was why I choose this arrangement, as the recipient loves them. They even added a red cardinal (without me asking :) and that was a perfect touch as our family loves the cardinal birds. read more

There aren't adequate words to express how wonderful Woods Flowers does their job. We ordered 3 dish gardens, a silk arrangement, 24 yellow carnations and a large casket spray for my mom's funeral. When I asked for them to put a couple butterflies in the arrangements I had no idea how they would take that request and run with it. They didn't just stick a couple butterflies randomly in the arrangements, but rather incorporated them into the arrangements. Everything we asked was done above and beyond expectations. When family out of state ordered a standing spray for the funeral, Woods even included butterflies in that arrangement! As previously mentioned - above and beyond! I wish I could've brought them home with me, but don't think they'd fit in my suitcase :). While none of these are adequate, some of the words I thought of to describe Woods were: awesome, amazing, unfathomable, wonderful, fantabulous, incredible... read more

Beautiful and friendly! If you are looking for a beautiful plant, nice gift and good service, this is a great place. They' were fast and efficient. The place itself is beautiful. In my judgement it is priced right, not for a cheap gift but still affordable. If I am in Temple or Belton now I know where to go for a special gift. I have not experienced it but I suspect their wedding, party, etc decorations must be amazing!!! What they have in store is beautiful! read more

I highly recommend this florist! After reading some reviews I decided to purchase a bouquet for my mom's birthday. It was beautiful and she absolutely loved them! They even added some of her favorite flowers even though they weren't part of the original bouquet. & The delivery driver was also extremely kind and took extra time to find her at work to deliver them directly to her. While it was a bit pricey, considering the size of the bouquet, the quality of the flowers, and consideration of the team to personalize it for her, I would 100% purchase from them again and recommend to others. Thank you so much!! read more

I have been using Woods since I was a kid-- they used to do my homecoming flowers and birthday gifts. They always had the fanciest arrangements and did the best work. Now, I do not live in Temple anymore, but I still use them very frequently for my family's events and gifts. I will say, there was a time when things were slipping, and blooms were not as good as they had been previously. Now, I fully believe they are back to the old Woods. We recently had a death in the family, and I ordered flowers through the funeral home knowing they use Woods. I ordered a stand spray of flowers, since they had done such a good job when I previously ordered them for such events. My delivery was so, so beautiful. The design, the selections-- their florist did an absolutely amazing job. I am extremely picky, and by gosh, they took my breath away. I do not know who did the arrangement, but they did such a great job and my entire family was very, very pleased. 1000 percent better than the pictures. The only hang-up was that a custom banner was missing from the flowers that we had ordered. I guess it somehow got left off, so it was not there for the funeral viewing. HOWEVER, as soon as Woods was notified, they made it right and took the banner to the funeral home, making sure it was there before the funeral. Nothing but the best from Woods. I could not believe the service received. Shop has always been super responsive with custom orders and is always just great. I highly recommend, especially for funerals and other important deliveries. read more

I called yesterday afternoon for a plant to be delivered to a relative's funeral which is today at 1 pm. I wasn't able to go, but another relative text me on her way home and said our plant was the only one that made it to the funeral. Thank you so much for being dependable! The plant was gorgeous - my cousin sent pictures. Great value and the man on the phone was extremely friendly and courteous. He gave me the confidence that I had called the right florist since I am from Abilene and couldn't go to the funeral or check them out. I would recommend this floral designer/service to all in the area! read more

I live in TN, and was recommended Wood's by my cousin. I ordered flowers through their website to be delivered to my aunt after the loss of her pet of many, many years. I left the design and arrangement up to the florist with a note describing the intent. Unfortunately, unbeknownst to me, my aunt was out of town so I had to postpone the delivery for several days. They not only delivered as promised, but designed a BEAUTIFUL arrangement for the incredibly sad occasion. I now consider Wood's my "go to" for flowers for my family members in the area! read more

I selected a Purple Morning floral arraignment for my sister's birthday. After looking online, I called the florist directly to make absolutely certain that the flowers I wanted were available. I spoke with Frank, and he assured me that those flowers were in stock. The delivery was on time, the card was perfect and the spelled her name correctly, I really liked that attention to detail. My sister liked the arraignment and said they were beautiful. I did request a PURPLE RIBBON since that is her favorite color and it was NOT on the cube vase as we had discussed. Thank you for your timely service, Frank. I appreciate your business! read more

I have ordered twice from this amazing Florist and have been so happy with both orders. I live out of State and was sending this to a friend in Texas. She sent me a photo and the flowers are beautiful. I spoke to Quincy and she was so patient. She even called me the day of the delivery to let me know that the lilies I had requested had not come in and asked if she could replace with the lilies that they received. As you can see from from the photo, they are beautiful. Will definitely use you again. Thank you for the wonderful service. read more

Wonderful experience with this long owned family business. Live out of town and needed beautiful flower arrangement for the funeral of a dear friend who passed away. Frank was so friendly & helpful. He also knew the family who lost the loved one. He took great care to make sure the arrangement was beautiful & delivered at the appropriate time. Our family really appreciated his excellent handling of this for us. Since we weren't able to attend the funeral he kindly sent us a photo So we could see the arrangement. Thank you Woods Flowers for delivering my wife's flowers today. Today is her birthday. We have been cooped up in our home for almost a week because of the recent snow and ice storms. My son ordered the flowers this morning. my son said the lady he spoke too was one of the nicest people he has ever talked to. She also promised him they would be delivered today. The roads are still very icy but, the flowers were delivered by a very nice man with a smile. Woods Flowers is the kind of business we need to keep around in Texas. I want to take this opportunity to commend Quincey for the outstanding job she did on the bouquet of gerber daises she did for Deb Kay Orlandi's viewing and funeral. It was gorgeous!!! By far the prettiest one there. I have been a customer of of Wood's Flowers for years, and although I have lived in Austin, TX since 1981, I always order my flowers for special occasions and funerals from you all. As a side note, Verba and my mother were best friends and mother was a customer of of Woods from the time the shop was opened. My mother's name was Faye B Moore. Once again, thank you Quincey for doing a fabulous job. Linda S. Moore read more

It's so difficult sometimes to choose a vendor. I read a lot of online reviews and finally decided to use Woods. The young lady who helped me, Gissele, was so patient and kind as I explained it would be a graveside service and I had no idea how to tell her exactly where it would be. I asked for an arrangement of living plants so someone could at least take them home, and they turned out quite lovely. She did text me a photo, and we saw them when we arrived. I don't know how they found out where to deliver them. Thank you, Woods Flowers! Your kindness and caring are so appreciated! read more

Woods Flowers has always been my go-to place to purchase flowers and gifts for my friends and loved ones. I have used them several times, and I think that they are one of the best in town. I have also used other places in town, which were also great, but Woods was much cheaper for the same quality of flowers. I've bought roses, floral arrangements for loved ones and flowers for funerals here in town and I've always been happy. It should also be noted that they support the local schools with free arrangements during ceremonies (athletic banquets, honors society, etc.) Do yourself a favor and order from them for your flower and gift needs. read more

Pathetic! Called to give my business and needed an arrangement sent ASAP and lady couldn't even be polite enough to give me a time range of a possible delivery today. I didn't ask for and made it clear I'm not looking for an exact thing time understanding that they are busy. Instead she gave me an attitude and wanted to be confrontational. I wasn't having it and would not ever do business like that. Businesses like this don't need to be up and treating people like scum. I have bought a lot of flowers (roses) and the flowers that Woods delivered to my wife for our anniversary today were the biggest, most lush, beautiful roses I believe I have ever bought. Out of loyalty to my grandparents whom I loved dearly I have continued to use Woods flowers despite not alway great reviews but I will say I WILL NEVER EVER use them AGAIN and will tell anyone who ask not to EVER when they DIDNOT deliver the flowers to my grandson's funeral Owen Mikes Daniels 03/23/20 !! The response was " the flowers were left on back table at Scanio-Harper Funeral at 1330" I pointed out the funeral was at 1!!! This was a 5 day old infants's funeral !!! Then was told well with all funeral times changes , Owens's was NOT changed , and the difficulty getting out of S&w things were delayed . First of all patients in the hospital aren't going anywhere but a SCHEDULED funeral time isn't changing !!! But the lack of symphony and empathy is horrendous! And will never be forgotten and I intend to spread this poor customer on any social media I can find !
