The gray one was adopted through Woods Creek.

Got a great and loving dog. She needs manners, but through the practice of hand feeding, she learned respect for her caregiver as a pup. She has zero food aggression and is a loving pal to our other rescue. Woods Creek made sure we were offering her what we advertised in terms of our property and housing situation.

I lost my senior dog last year after loving her and giving her the world for eight years. After many months of healing, I saw a dog at this rescue and fell in love. Before adopting her, I waited until my new job started that allows me to work from home 3 days per week and once she was ready, could take her to work with me the other two days. Keeping her safe was my top priority. I bought her a car seat that buckles in and made the mistake of unbuckling her for 5 mins while I ran inside a house. I left the window cracked, underestimating how tiny she is. When I saw that she was gone, I looked frantically for 3 hours. Posted on Craigslist, Nextdoor, and animal control. I also immediately contacted Tammy at Woods Creek to get the info to update her microchip because she forgot the card when came for the home visit and said she would text me a picture. I contacted Tammy so that when my dog was found, I would get the call. Instead, I was called by someone at the rescue letting me know that the dog had been found and Tammy picked her up and was taking her back to the rescue. Followed by the words "you broke the contract and you're not getting her back." I didn't have her for very long, but we bonded immediately. She followed me everywhere, sat on my lap constantly (even fought with my laptop once because it was in her spot. She won). I sent my family and friends countless pictures and videos telling them how much I loved her. I tried reasoning with Tammy, explaining that I am the legal owner. It became clear that Tammy was very emotionally attached to the dog I adopted, and instead of responding in a professional manner during a devastating day, blamed me for not using the type of collar or leash she recommended (having nothing to do with the situation) and told me that I "hurt her" (her being Tammy, not the dog). It all feels very surreal. I spoke with a police officer who was also shocked by the situation and gave me information for filing a civil claim. The worst part is that Tammy made me out to be a villain on the Woods Creek Fb page. She said I took the dog to a friend's house and just left her in the car. The reality is that we were at a house I own and I was simply stopping by to drop some materials off for my handyman. I took her along for the car ride and she loved sticking her little nose out the window (while being safety buckled in) as you can see in the picture. I am so thankful that Anna was found safely. I just wish it didn't end with heartbreak.

Applied on February 14th heard nothing so reached out VIA Instagram. No response ever.

I started volunteering at Paws in May sometime... I go…read morethere as much as possible or when I get a chance... I love this place because it makes me feel good when I am around the cats,,, I love taking pictures of the cats too... I love this lady named Sharon and I have learned so much from her.... She makes my day every time I go there...

I volunteered to become a foster parent. I fostered 3…read morekittens that were orphans. Sharon the owner/the woman who runs this shelter told me that the "family" that dropped them off were completely unreachable. So she asked me to foster them. The day I picked them up I expressed openly that I would want to adopt them (being as they were orphans). One employee and the previous foster mom who passed them to me told me that was possible. Over 3 weeks later we received a phone call from Sharon saying that she had made a mistake and that the family wanted them all back. After the fact that several foster homes raised them during the difficult stages. Of course this was very upsetting and heartbreaking to me and my family. Come to find out she wasn't being truthful about the situation. We were told that it was 1 family that was out of town on a vacation to Europe. But the truth came forth that it wasn't 1 family but yet 3 different people. We have no idea what was in it for her financially but this seemed wrong. I received thereafter a phone call from the police dept. telling me that she was stating that me and my family had stolen these kittens. Demanding their return. This came as an incredible shock to us and our children. Who has done nothing but love, and care for these babies for weeks! My children are devastated to have to have said goodbye to 3 sweet souls that they grew to love. With reluctance we arranged a time and day to return them to her care, to avoid any legal issues. She then proceeded to accuse us of not returning the correct kittens. Again I received another call from the police dept. I just want anyone and everyone to be VERY aware of this shelter and this woman before considering adopting from them. My understanding of a shelter is to give animals a loving home and keep them off the streets. Obviously this is not her/their intent. My want to help and foster has been completely tarnished and I am now scared to ever try and help again. We hope that every animal in need finds a loving home and we would hope that this entire staff of people will find their way back to the intent of this business.....

Also complain to Petsmart where you adopted these dogs/cats if there's issues with information, & call backs. Petsmart has a application process which screens adoption groups. You have to list and give info when you wish to use their facility to adopt out pets. I tried myself for a bird club and we don't screen lost and abandoned birds when members accept surrendered birds. So we didn't qualify by Petsmart standards. Talk to the Petsmart Manager. I myself never adopted from this organization.

It was the first time I did this and thought it was a good partnership. I donated money to PetSmart charities based on this event. Here is what I read about the PetSmart Adoption in Wilsonville Oregon in December 2012 from this website http://www.statesmanjournal.com/article/20130116/NEWS/301160068/Neglected-dogs-m-glad-we-g ot-her-out-there- Kaitlyn Smith remembers the horror she felt when she first laid eyes on the puppy that she and her husband, Josh, adopted at an event in front of Petsmart in Wilsonville in December. Ali, a sheltie mix, was soiled with feces and the couple immediately noticed that she was very boney. Ali also had sores all over her body. But despite the puppy's poor health, Smith recalled, she wasn't nearly as bad off as the other dogs at the adoption event. "She wasn't as skinny as the other dogs," Smith said. "She had a skin infection on her body, but we were told she got that from the previous shelter." Smith said she and Josh watched in horror as individuals at the adoption event wheeled around 20 puppies on carriers, with as many as four dogs crammed in crates designed to hold one cat. It was sickening," she said. "I kept looking at my husband saying 'There's something wrong here.' " After waiting many long minutes, the woman the Smiths had contacted about adopting Ali, then-president of Willamette Animal Rescue, Alicia Inglish, showed up to the event. "When I met Alicia, she was very awkward and very disorganized," Smith said. "Because Ali was filthy, they took a wet paper towel and wiped (her) down. The smell was horrific." HOW DID EMPLOYEES AT THIS STORE NOT THINK THIS WAS A PROBLEM? A REPUTABLE SHELTER WOULD HAVE BATHED ANIMALS AT A MINIMUM. A REPUTABLE SHELTER WOULD NOT HAVE CRAMMED 4 DOGS INTO CAT CRATE. WHO OVERSEES THIS PROGRAM AT THE STORE AND CORPORATE LEVEL? HAVE THESE EMPLOYEES BEEN FIRED OR REPRIMANDED? I WANT TO SEE PETSMART ESTABLISH MANDATORY REPORTING THE SAME WAY OREGON LAW REQUIRES MANDATORY REPORTING OF CHILD ABUSE. AT THE LEAST, PETSMART ENABLED A SCAM FOR MONEY TO CONTINUE UNDER THE GUISE OF CARING FOR ANIMALS. AT THE WORST, PETSMART ENABLED AN ANIMAL ABUSER. I WILL NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN.
