I had questions about where cut the 4" waste pipe so that it laid flush on the floor and how to trim around the tub and vanity. He simply told me, "Not my job". After two measurements, and numerous calls to the company, we decided to find another installation company. That's when we found S-Tile on Yelp. Nimsy was very professional and knowledgeable with the installation process. She offered to send an installer out to measure the next day. They sent not just an installer to measure; they sent the person who would do the installation. Alex was great. Not only did he answer all my questions but also told me he would help to ensure the waste pipe was cut to the correct height. He made the measurements on a Thursday, and I got the quote that day. And S-Tile's quote was half of the big box installation. Alex started installing the tile on the following Monday and completed it on Wednesday. The toilet flange sat flush to the floor with Alex's help determining where it needed to be cut. The finish around the tub and vanity are exactly as I asked that it be left for my trim work. We could not be happier with our new tile installation as performed by S-Tile. I would recommend them to anyone wanting an easy process and professional installation. Kimi's Carpets Plus was great! They stood by their product and their work, ultimately providing us…read morea wonderful carpet (despite a materials-related setback that wasn't their fault). When we needed carpet in our bedroom & closets, we went to their showroom & selected carpet that seemed perfect for us, but when it was installed, it turned out that this new carpet style from Shaw hadn't been completely tested out. It didn't "seam up" properly, i.e., no matter what the installers tried, they couldn't get rid of a visible seam across the length of the room. The carpet came in a 12-foot roll and the room was wider than 12 feet, so the carpet had to have a seam, which is normally completely invisible. This new carpet style, though, had loop pile so close together and with a distinct enough diagonal pattern that matching the seam was impossible. Cutting the edge close enough to match the diagonal pattern meant not leaving enough backing to hold the loop in, so it would pull out. Apparently Shaw didn't test out installation well in the design & manufacture of that carpet style. When Kimi's operations manager was the final installation, he immediately agreed that the seam was too visible and agreed to replace the carpet. We selected another style -- one that the installers assured us would "seam up"! -- and Kimi's came and installed it with no problem. It was apparently covered by Shaw's materials warranty and also Kimi's installation warranty. The installers were friendly and professional; they did a fine job (both times, aside from the materials problem). We'd happily use Kimi's again and we recommend them.

They refuse to even acknowledge their mistakes, tried to trick us into paying for the work they're unable to complete, and even hired a lawyer to send a letter threatening a lawsuit over the 1-star review. Don't make the same mistake as us by hiring this company. Read their bad reviews to find out how they deal with things when something goes wrong. Don't make the same mistake as us by hiring this company. We contracted with this company to remove all the carpet in the house, and to replace it with LVP. It started off poorly, as they called us the day before they were to start, and said that the materials hasn't arrived yet, and that their starting date would be delayed by two weeks. This put us in a bit of a situation and also cost us money, as we'd blocked off our Airbnb rooms already for those dates, moved furniture and things around, and had scheduled our vacation around the dates they'd originally given us. This also meant that they'd be installing it right before Christmas, when we had out of town guests staying with us causing further disruption. We let it go without saying anything, and just did what we could to work around their new schedule, nearly two weeks later. The problem isn't so much that the materials weren't delivered on time (did someone forget to order them?) but rather that they didn't bother telling us until right before they were originally to start, instead of as soon as they learned the materials wouldn't arrive in time. During the 5 days of installation, the owner was constantly berating and yelling at his employees, which made things a bit uncomfortable in the house for our family and visitors. It was only after we'd paid the deposit and they'd done most of the work that the owner said he wasn't able to do part of it. They insisted that they weren't able to do a raised platform in the theater room that both looks good and is safe. After I said that particular area was specifically discussed when they came out to measure for a quote, and was what was explicitly agreed on both verbally and in the contract, he stormed out of the house and cursed at us. My wife, our visiting houseguests, and I were left standing there in shock at his behavior. Someone from their office called right after he left and said that they weren't sure whether it could be done, and that when Mike saw it he knew it couldn't be covered with LVP so that it would be both safe and look good. None of this was mentioned to us from the beginning, or when they accepted the deposit, or when they started the work. In addition, another contractor, who also installs flooring and was there earlier during the project, made numerous remarks about workmanship quality issues in their installation. We had various other problems with aspects of the installation. Since the owner stormed out in a tantrum, I didn't even have a chance to bring them up. However, it's easier to just not deal with them, and we're hiring someone else to fix their work, and complete the part they weren't able to. What really irks me is that we bought the flooring they recommended. If that flooring wasn't a good choice for stairs or for the theater room platform, they should have recommended something that was. We accepted their recommendations without hesitation, trusting that they had our best interest in mind. The next day, Kimi tried to insist the work was completed and that we needed to pay the remaining balance right away. I can't understand how she could possibly insist that we pay for work they aren't able to complete. It blows my mind that she'd even consider such a thing. I told her that we'd be happy to pay for the work that was completed and for the materials that were used. While eventually she did have an employee send over a new invoice, to date she has neither acknowledged nor apologized for their mistakes, stating that the work was done during the agreed timeframe (it wasn't), that it was complete (it wasn't), and that her husband cursed at me in my home in front of my wife and our houseguests. Check out their other bad reviews, which are typically very detailed, and you'll see a common theme. The owners Kimi and Mike nearly always refuse to acknowledge their mistakes, and even go so far as to badmouth their customers.

My wife and I recently had a total kitchen remodel from Triangle Cabinets & Renovation. In addition, waterlines were moved, existing vent line moved, and new lighting was installed. The project was discussed with us in great detail by Trey Green & his son, Colby Green. Everything was laid out in black and white. Colby did a fantastic job of designing the new kitchen as appliances were moved and a completely different look was portrayed. Colby made several changes on the drawings and really did a wonderful job of giving us the kitchen of our dreams. Each and every trade that was utilized was exceptional. The trades included, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical contractors as well as tile installers, cabinet installers, fabricators, painters, and demolition team. The cabinet selection was extensive and the suppliers of countertops and tile were very good. Prior to demolition, the entire kitchen area was enclosed in a protective barrier to keep dust and debris from going into adjoining rooms. The hardwood floors adjoining the kitchen area were covered with construction paper and tarps. We were well informed as to when each and every aspect of the remodel would take place. There were no surprises or hidden costs. Each and every item was outlined before the work began and all of our concerns were addressed. This is our third new home that we had built. Although this house was only 12 years old, we wanted something that was kitchen friendly and attractive. We have had several contractors perform work for us over the years but not one could compare to Triangle Cabinets & Renovations. Patrick did a beautiful job. We were going to do LVP in the hallway upstairs but Patrick recommended we try Mohawk laminate. It was a GREAT choice. To say that having Sealed Solution encapsulate our crawlspace was a nightmarish experience is an…read moreunderstatement. They encapsulated our crawlspace in May 2022. Sealed Solution contaminated our entire home and garage with fiberglass dust. We incurred SIX FIGURES WORTH OF DAMAGE to our home and personal property because of them. Our symptoms started off as allergy-like with irritated eyes, irritated throats, and coughing a little more than usual. This progressed to swollen lymph nodes (which we still have to this day), difficulty breathing, inability to sleep, chest/lungs burning, and skin feeling like it was burning as well. It got so bad that my partner had to go to urgent care where they did a chest x-ray and saw a white mass on one of his lungs. The doctor told him to stay away from the contaminated area (our house) or his symptoms would only persist and get worse. Not only did we have physical symptoms, but you could see all of the sparkly fiberglass dust on every surface in our home. Our countertops, tables, and every hard surface had a layer of yellow glittery dust (our old fiberglass batting in the crawlspace was yellow). After experiencing our initial physical symptoms and seeing the dust in our home, we alerted the owner of Sealed Solution that our house had been contaminated with fiberglass dust. We asked if the company would pay to professionally remediate the contamination, and we were told "no". We were also told that we may just be "sensitive" to fiberglass, and that he had gone "above and beyond" for us. After my partner's visit to urgent care, we again reached back out to the owner. We told him about the results from urgent care and told him to file a claim with his insurance company. So at the very beginning of June, we filed a claim with Sealed Solution's insurer. Because our house was no longer safe to live in, we started living in a hotel with our dog at the end of May. We had to live in a hotel for almost 5 months. In addition to our health being compromised, we had to throw away all upholstered furniture, clothes, carpeting, mattresses, linens, and everything else with a soft surface. We had to have the popcorn ceilings in our entire home scraped and the entire interior of our house painted. We had to have two abatement companies clean our house and both of our HVAC units, including all ductwork, replaced. The fiberglass dust came into our house through the ductwork in the crawlspace. There were visible holes ripped in the insulation surrounding our ducts, and it appears absolutely no measures were taken to check for or seal air leaks before the encapsulation process began. Sealed Solution did not use negative air pressure machines, HEPA air scrubbers, nor did they use HEPA vacuums to clean the crawlspace to ensure fiberglass dust, mold spores, or any other contaminants didn't enter our home. We were able to reach an agreement with Sealed Solution's insurer; however, because we were the third party in the claim and because of the type of policy, we had over $30,000 of depreciation taken out, in addition to not being reimbursed for all of our costs. We originally paid $7,606 to have our crawlspace encapsulated by Sealed Solution, and now we're out tens of thousands of dollars. We don't want any other family to go through the nightmare that we've been through. It is not worth your physical health, mental health, or losing tens of thousands of dollars. If you're going to have someone encapsulate your crawlspace, please make sure the owner of the company is actually on site daily and regularly supervising the sub-contractors. We have yet to receive an apology from Sealed Solution for their negligence in contaminating our home and putting us through this hellish experience. Even after the insurance claim was filed, Sealed Solution maintained that they did everything by code and went "above and beyond". If "above and beyond" means compromising your health, contaminating your house, and costing you tens of thousands of dollars, then I guess they did.
