He is an affable person and never once had the vibe you get from car salesmen. I would have left if I'd felt that as I'd done with several other used car places in the previous week. They were very busy so I waited while they dealt with customers and brought the minivan around. It looked as I expected and matched their online pictures. It is well used. I checked the brakes but only stuck my finger on the rotor. It was slick, like it was turned or new. The interior was worn but clean and did not have a bad smell nor had they hosed it down with 'new car stink' to cover up issues. Mike said he'd honor the online price even thought he had just raised the price, that it was on him to remove the listing and if that didn't happen he'd honor what I found. Oh they'd done the brakes, he had receipts if I wanted to see them. They also replaced valve cover gaskets and did an oil change. I took it for a test drive with Mike. Oh no, it did not do well and stuttered on the way back. Mike said he'd get that looked at. He came back and said it most likely was damp from the detailing and removing the oil but he did find a module bad and a code had been set. Mike wanted to fix that and make sure it ran well and it would take a week to get the part. So a week later I picked it up. The new part was 150 and ran the engine cooling fan. He did not charge me any more to do that. This is a slop car. It's to carry me and my mutts around so we can go to the dog park or other places to walk. It runs and has plenty of power. I'd just bought a used Avalon at Beck Toyota and love it but kind wish I'd known about this place sooner as he had a Toyota I'd have liked for a bit less. Last bit, I just visited my brother this Friday and drove the van for about 50 miles and it did well. I had no issues with it.

The starter failed within two days of driving it off the lot. When I called to complain, I was quoted one price for the repair. When I arrived to pick it up, the bill was nearly $300 higher. Then I was told the warranty they sold me couldn't be used because it was "too early" and "probably wouldn't be approved." I had to fight to pay anything close to what was quoted -- on a repair that should have been fully covered. This was also the same dealership that raised the price by $1,000 after we were already in the purchasing process -- and when I questioned it, one of the owners addressed my fiancé instead of me, as if I wasn't capable of understanding the answer. I flagged that the battery looked old. A AAA technician agreed. They wanted more money. I declined. Less than a week later the battery is failing. Here's what bothers me most: this lot also does in-house repairs. Selling cars with known problems while profiting from fixing those same problems -- and hiding behind warranty fine print to avoid covering anything -- is predatory. Full stop. Get any vehicle independently inspected before you buy here. Get every quote in writing. Or better yet, just go somewhere else.

On test driving it, the code for the catalytic converter was read at an AutoZone when the check engine light came on. Al assured me he'd take care of it ("Just a sensor issue, as it's had the cat replaced."). No code on my next test drive. Completed the sale quickly. A month later, the code was back. It has other issues, too, but I can accept that I bought an old truck and took on that responsibility. However, after several emails trying to get Excel to at least cover the expense of replacing the catalytic converter, they've stopped responding all together. My only real recourse is online reviews, letting other folks know they might not be working with folks who have their interests in mind. I have since found all tire pressure sensors are bad, there's a fuel system issue that I haven't diagnosed yet, there was an underpowered battery installed (a marine battery!?), truck doesn't start now--probably the starter--and the bed cross sills are rotting through, so I need the whole bed replaced. Or possibly a new truck, from a reputable dealer. Not Excel.

Waiting in the lobby i was offered a water bottle from a sales consultant named Brandon which was greatly appreciated! About halfway into my wait I was introduced to Skittles the mascot macaw and was allowed to hold and feed her some peanuts, she was so gentle and sweet! My checkout price and wait for the service was fair and everyone there seemed respectful, sweet, and efficient as I ended up leaving around 10:10am. Great people and service, would come back!

I got you 129,000 miles, in my head gaskets went out. And the warranty company was not willing to help. Even though I was only 196 miles out of warranty. And it was gonna cost $4200 for them to do the head gaskets. At that's them with not replacing a cylinder head. Each cylinder head was $2000 from ford. And I have a baby on the way in four months. And I told him I could not do that and I have to give up my truck, The owner personally bought me a new engine with 40,000 miles less, and put it in my truck for free, I would I have to pay them a penny. And they said if I wanted to put parts on it why they had the motor out, that they would just charge me for the parts and no labor. Just the job of buying that motor and putting it in was easily $7000. But the owner was willing to do that for me. I did not have any reason to. I've never even met the guy. Because of him I'm going to be able to keep my truck, I have something safe for my baby to be in while I'm driving around. So I recommend anyone who is looking for a vehicle, to just stop by and talk to someone, they are willing to work with you, A lot of a lot of people don't understand is if you just have respect for people, they're willing to help you. Because the service manager understood how hard it was to have to buy a truck and not even me 200 miles out of warranty and my motor blow up. Because I just graduated college and I have a baby on the way and I could not afford that on my own. So thank you very much to the owner of Greg Chevrolet in camby Indiana. I would not recommend service from this dealer…read more I dropped my truck off for a few maintenance items (transmission, alignment, and two tire pressure sensors). I received my inspection report stating the battery was low on the other two tire sensors. I did not approve to replace these sensors at this time, only the ones that were already bad. I received a call stating the fronts were now showing as bad and needed replaced. the fronts were the ones I knew were bad which my original estimate shows. After back and forth with the tech, clerk, and manager of me stating I was not paying for a service I did not approve or need at that time and still wanted the ones I already agreed to pay to have done, I end up paying for both (more for each than the original estimate which I didn't even bother arguing over). terrible customer service. Even after proving I was right, I not only paid for service I did not approve And paid more for what I agreed to, the delayed work due the confusion left me without a vehicle for an unexpected day and had to rearrange work schedules and getting kids to school.

Eventually he gave up after they didn't return his calls. Sean Kale at Community Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep let him know the matching truck was actually NOT 500 miles away but just one state over... They returned his calls promptly, made him a fair deal, and drove the truck all the way back from out of state for him.
