The menu says they have won awards for their steaks. We had roasted vegetables and garlic greens, as well as buttermilk chicken and the flavors were delicious. Sorry can't say about their steaks but can imagine being even more delicious.

The location is just far enough away from everything that we didn't feel like we were in a tourist central and yet we had everything we could want within walking distance. There is a train station only a few blocks away that links you to everything. There is great Indian food, a fish and chip shop, a couple pubs, breakfast shops, even markets, all within walking distance. On top of that, the folks working at The Victoria Inn are top notch. Everyone was extremely kind and happy to help. We didn't try the food, but the drinks were cold and tasty. The room itself was small but just right. The bathroom and shower worked wonderfully, as did the TV. I would maybe suggest adding a fan to the room as it could get very stuffy when one person was showering. Aside from that it was perfect!

Staff are friendly and attentive, and I have found the food to always be well prepared, and tasty (most important!). The woman on the phone could not understand anything we were saying, even though we repeated ourselves over and over. I think we spelled our address for the lady about 6 times altogether. Bit of a nightmare, really. However, the food here was fantastic! It was delivered really quickly too! And prices are very reasonable. I ordered the Tom Yum soup with mixed seafood, which was so delicious and extra spicy. My man ordered the red prawn curry, which was also very hot, spicy, and oh so good. There are tons of other options on the menu that looked amazing as well. I'll be sure to check them all out, as this is our local Thai joint. I will be sure to check out the restaurant next time I have a good ol Thai craving.

The restaurant specialises in southern cuisine. We always get the chicken dopiaza and coconut parathas as well as poppadoms with dipping sauces to start. My friend also likes the masala dosa but I find it quite bland. I always remember the food being very satisfying but the last time I went I felt the quality of the curry could be better (having said that I've just been to Vij's in Vancouver so my frame of reference is now pretty messed up) and overall felt quite disappointed, contrary to previous visits. I think next time I'm in Tooting I will try something different, although I'll always have affection for this place as a classic local Indian restaurant.

Really reminds me of the good ol' student veggie cafes from back in the day (they're few and far between now and I've never seen one in London.) £6.95 for lunch or dinner buffet or £4 for a takeaway box. I found Foodilic which has a £4 take-away box option. I filled it up with most beef/mushroom and vegetarian lasagna and was out on my way. Huge mistake. I guess you get what you pay for..first off the lack of meat options was disappointing. Second, the beef was mediocre, but the lasagna was absolutely unbearable. This is a great little spot with a cozy environment and a great menu. We had a couple of their pizzas and a few of us had glasses of wine. Everyone was impressed. The service was great. The food came quickly, we weren't rushed even though we were there until just before closing time and the man running the show gave us our space to enjoy instead of upselling us. If I was in the area, I'd come here again. They had a few tables outside and a few inside. We sat inside and it was nice for our group, but I can imagine sitting outside on a nice night here is a perfect way to enjoy a meal in this area. On a Sunday night this area was quiet, so there was no noise or traffic disturbing the experience. I'd confidently recommend it.
