It's located near some good friends of ours, so we come here once in awhile. It is a medium size park that backs into a railroad track and then there's a wildlife area made up of a a fenced-off wetlands preserve. I've not gone over to that part, but the park itself has a playground, a gazebo covered picnic area, a half court for bball, 2 baseball fields, a tennis court, a huge open field of grass for other sports such as soccer, frisbee, etc. The one big attraction here is probably the gazebo with 3 basic metal picnic tables, I've seen a lot of parties held here just driving past to get to my friends' place, so it seems a popular park for nearby families to hold their celebratory events. It's not as nice and new a gazebo as the newer neighborhood parks in the south parts of Elk Grove, as those have concrete picnic tables, but this one still sees a ton of use. There is also a tennis court, but unfortunately, there are only 2 courts and they're not marked/retrofitted for playing pickleball, like at some of the other EG parks. Also they're quite worn. The pavement on the courts are cracked/peeling and the perimeter were not well kept but dirty with some piece of litter that's not been picked up. I also saw a couple spots w/dog doo doo which means people are being disrespectful and letting their dog do their business on the edges of the courts and/or stray dogs are coming in and pooping, so that's not bueno. One of the nets was also badly damaged so it essentially doesn't work. The park has seen better days for sure, but it used to be very overgrown as their fields were not getting mowed down due to lack of funding. Our friends told us Cosumnes CSD finally found some funds to keep it up a bit better now, but also that some of the folks who are not from around this neighborhood, but only come for baseball games have trashed the park in the past, which is unfortunate. Hopefully, that situation has improved and people won't be so inconsiderate. I didn't go over to the baseball fields, so I didn't see if they're in good shape, but let's respect our parks. Parking is easy here with a dedicated lot and plenty of parking spaces, some of the spots have shade trees to park under too which is nice on a warmer day. All in all, this is a nice older neighborhood park, which hopefully will see some updating soon.

The whole complex is massive with multi purpose areas for soccer, 2 tennis courts, one court basketball court, picnic area and tables, play area, barbecues, shaded area (gazebo) walking path, a 100 car parking lot, plus the most important amenity ( Restrooms) ! I came through here with my son and some friends. It's at the end of a dead end street nestled away in the middle of the neighborhood, so for those who have never been before it might be a little hard to find. The whole place is on the smaller side compared to some of the massive parks downtown, but what it lacks in space it makes up for with a great play structure and solid facilities. My son loved playing for hours and I loved that he was happy! Consider this next time you are looking for some place in the area to take the kids so they can blow off some steam.

Kloss park play structure is just under a mile walk from Pederson Park. I say this because this…read morespot has a bathroom but Pederson does not but that spot has a zip lip :-) Kloss play structure has a bit of shade and the "big kid " play area can still accommodate some smaller kids (keep an eye on them though due to the height - but what little doesn't love a good ramp). The little kid play area is smaller than Pederson. There are two shade covered table areas in this park one close and one further away from these play structures. Quite a few other single tables and bbqs throughout and lots of trees. this park has baseball field and lots of lawn area. Restrooms are pretty decent the times I've needed to use it. Not too bad - better than a porta potty. Conveniently located functional drinking fountain for humans and dogs. If you wanted to get a coffee and meet up with friends - park at Starbucks by Bel Air and walk a little over a mile to this playground and back for a beautiful exercise experience.

We used to come here all the time when our kids were little. They're "too cool" for parks now, but…read morewe still come here on walks and my kids still enjoy taking their bikes here and riding them around the park. Heck, sometimes they'll still play on the play structure and I'm totally cool with that, they're growing up too fast! Sometimes I'll bring a soccer or volleyball with me and kick/hit it around with my son and have some father-son bonding time. It's a good thing. We can get competitive and give each other some good exercise. The other feature we like about this park besides the walking trail, the tall oak trees that give it a secluded oasis feel, and the play structure, is the exercise equipment side of the park, on the southeast corner. My kids like to get on the balance beam and try to walk across it quickly and try to push each other off. My daughter used to be really good on monkey bars and she'd climb those over and over too. Good times. We've also met quite a few nice neighbors here just by chatting it up, otherwise people keep to themselves in this area, but it is good to make some new friends and watch out for each other. A nice park to create your own experiences and memories! Just remember to use the bathroom before you come here as there's no restroom facilities here which is the one negative.

The play structures are great for littles (I'd say 2 to 10), there's shaded areas to sit, and it's always clean and well cared for. There's a workout area for the adults, too, and if you keep your eyes peeled there's a fairy door hiding. My only gripe - and honestly, it's a big one! - is that there are no restrooms. If those were added this would be a perfect spot. But as is, it's pretty damn good and we're super happy to have it in the neighborhood.

In the summer, they host food trucks on the last Friday of the month, which is always a treat. The park has lots of shady areas, two playgrounds (one for bigger kids and a smaller one for toddlers), and a track for walking or running. You'll also find fields for soccer, volleyball, and baseball, plus BBQ areas you can reserve. The neighborhood is safe and very family-friendly. One of the best parts is the public swimming pool that opens during the summer. They charge $3 or $4 per person, which is very reasonable. Just a heads-up--this year, they're only accepting cash at the pool. It would be helpful if they posted a sign in the parking lot to let families know. I've seen a few frustrated parents who had to unload all the kids and gear, only to find out inside that they couldn't pay with card. Despite that hiccup, it's a wonderful park for families and we're grateful to have it nearby!

It was a brisk and very windy day,…read morebut the sun was shining and it was a mild day so it was still a great day for a picnic at the park. The kids had a great time. Tahoe Park is huge. It's between 59th and 61st St going east and west and between 8th and 11th Ave going north and south, and it is almost 18 acres big according to the City's website. There are soccer fields, a baseball diamond, a full basketball court, a smaller but adequate kids playground, 2 actually, one bigger, and one for smaller kids. In the summer time, the swimming pools will be open, so that's a great facility for hot weather fun. There is also a big gazebo with tables and seating on the side closest to where we saw kids playing soccer. We hung out closer to the picnic table area since we were grilling up some burgers and hotdogs, and there were several picnic tables to sit at and plenty of room. Although that area isn't very shaded. Our church reserved the tables, but it wasn't at the gazebo so it was a bit hotter where we were picnicking, but since it was so windy that day, it wasn't hot at all. It was the perfect day for flying kites so the kids did that for quite some time. Super fun for them to try to figure out how to get the kites to catch the wind and keep afloat. There's a set of bathrooms near the playground but I didn't use them so I don't know if they were clean or not. All in all, this is a nice park that I've just never been to, guess I keep frequenting the same ones that are familiar to me, but this is an underrated park and it's in a safe residential area, so it's a great place for a BBQ or a picnic or a party. I…read morelove that this park has 3 different dog areas, one for small dogs, one for big dogs, and one for dogs of both sizes. All the people that take their dogs here are super nice and welcoming. They treat all the dogs the same and my dog really enjoyed herself. I will definitely be taking my dog back. I also bought the younger siblings out as well and they LOVED the playground. The playground is huge and well kept. Everything was super nice and clean and everyone around was very nice. It is a beautiful park and I can't wait to come back around. They have so many things such as: -Tennis -Basketball -HUGE grass area -Restrooms -Swings/Chair Swings -Picnic Table -Plenty of Parking -Automatic lights that come up when it starts to get dark -and many more.
