Stopped in when I had some time to kill in the area. Cute little boutique with a surprisingly well…read morebalanced mix of brands, styles, and price ranges. I didn't love anything enough during this trip to buy it, but I did really like the dress that the cashier (possibly owner?) had on. They were sold out of it, but she offered to let me try on her's if I was interested in ordering it. Pretty sure she was serious too! That's good service.

After browsing in here multiple times over the last few years, it seems to be the owner's decision to cater to tiny people, or else perhaps they bring in very few pieces in a true and ample 12 which sell out very fast. Yes, there were some seasonal ponchos today that would fit any size/ any height and separate tops that would work for multiple heights so long as you have thin arms and a minimal bust. Interestingly the one sales lady working today was trying hard to convince a 5 ft tall customer that the poncho was "perfect for her if she would drape it differently" and a bit of creative styling ensued. No, in truth it looked awful on this petite woman like she was trying to get out from under a big blanket. Well the customer had enough common sense to follow her instincts "this is not for me", despite urges from the saleslady to the contrary. I suspect the saleslady sensed big sale potential as many things were being tried on and talked about for Ms petite and her adult daughter as gifts. I however, was completely ignored. Meanwhile, I poked around on my own, never once asked what I was looking for, while the declassee gum-chomping saleslady catered exclusively to the other woman. While I was approached for her to take the two items I found into the dressing room, she never inquired how I was doing and even in my departing "good-bye, didn't stop talking to the other woman or bother to thank me for stopping in. Parking: I parked behind the building where the strong stench of rotted garbage permeates the air from over-filled and uncovered garbage dumpsters. Has Briarcliff no sanitation codes?

As a retired person I enjoy visiting different towns and shops in these beautiful towns and will take photos and post on my Facebook page to inspire friends and family to visit these beautiful places and shops. As I browsed this store which at the time had 3 or 4 customers including myself and my friend, I took 4 photos - one of my friend and 3 photos of cute dish towels and coffee mugs with funny sayings on them, I didn't touch these items or rearrange them in any way. When we initially entered the store the sales women were very welcoming and friendly but all of a sudden the mood of one salesperson shifted dramatically. I was walking in a very narrow area and the employee who is an older woman with large framed eyeglasses came way too close to me (neither of us wearing face masks) and said in a stern, unfriendly tone of voice "can I help you?" I immediately felt uncomfortable because of her tone and too close physical proximity to me . I smiled and said no. Then, again in a stern tone of voice she said "any questions about anything?" Again I said no . Then, again with the same stern voice and close physical Proximity she said with the same tone " Any questions about anything you are taking photos of?" In an irritated tone of voice she said next time ask to take photos and looking down at the phone in my Hand she ordered me to "and turn off your camera" I was speechless and never experienced any treatment like this before in any store or establishment . If she said in a neutral tone or dare I say friendly tone of voice - we have a no photo without permission policy or I'm sorry but please no photos - I would have apologized - I saw no signs posted in the store warning of this policy that was obviously very important to this person . On my way home, I found myself feeling very unsettled . This really ended my visit to the shops in Nyack on a very sour note! I decided that I would contact the manager or owner of Maria Luisa boutique to share my unpleasant encounter with their sales person. As I found their information on the internet I came to discover it was the store owner herself -Maria Luisa who treated me so poorly!! Needless to say , I will never return to this boutique! "

If there were 10 starts I'd put it for this gorgeous boutique. If you can imagine a transformative…read moreshopping experience, this is it. You walk in feeling one way and walk out feeling so fabulous, you could fly!!! The selection of designer fashion, shoes, bags and jewelry is curated with such attention to quality and trends, you will not find one that compares. There're exciting and innovative designers, creating trends that will be popular tomorrow, but you could already have it today. Ahead of the curve. The quality of the clothes and the jewelry is incredible. The fine jewelry selection is sooo divine, i started curating my own collection thanks to the owner and friend, Sarah. I'm so grateful!!! Every time i add to my collection, its pieces that i love sooo much, they make me happy every time i wear them and they are truly "MY" style. It's not throwing money on shopping, its investing into your wardrobe that will make you present the best you, the way you'd like to come across. The energy and positive vibes here are what makes this experience even more unique and somehow healing, transformative and rejuvenating. Not to mention the private VIP event Sarah organized for myself and my neice for ear piercings and tattoos that brought an incredible NY artist to Chappaqua to do her magic. OBSESSED!!! Can't wait to come back :)

Sarah has shown me pieces that when on the hanger don't look like anything that would work for me but she is always right.
