Did a walk-in for the first time and was helped almost immediately. Peter did Acrylic nails for my pedi. John and Sydney did my daughter's pedi and mani in French tips. No hate, but I would not recommend/advise anyone to visit this nail salon. Upon receiving a gel pedicure, I began to see visible changes on my natural nails. Assuming the staff does not clean the equipment thoroughly, fungus has consumed my nails on each hallux. Up to this day the matter has worsened, causing my real nail to brittle and fall off, leaving me with less than half of my natural nail in horrible condition. Please visit a business that ensures they are very clean with their equipment! *Gel-X Mani + Gel Pedicure = $110, not to mention the nail tech nicked my finger and I left bleeding as well* read more

Service was expensive for bad quality. I asked the lady to redo two nails that were super crooked and I didn't realize there was a third till I left. When I told her they were crooked she tried telling me my fingers were crooked? So it was my fault somehow. I asked for a natural green and she only had pastel green and swore I showed her this color when I didn't. Again on me somehow. By this point I didn't even wanna tell her how bad it looked I just wanted to get out and go get them fixed elsewhere. And to top it off there's a ton of glue under my nails, it seems like they only have old dried out nail products. I wish I didn't come across this place. I've been going here for years, and they always do a fantastic job with my nails. Whether it's gel polish on my natural nails, a new acrylic set, or fills, their work is consistently detailed. I've always had male manicurists, and no matter who I get in the rotation, I know I'm in good hands. I love that they're flexible and often take me as a walk-in when I don't have time to make a reservation. Went here with my friend bc i saw this place had such great reviews. We both felt so rushed the entire time. She put way too much filler on my nails and rushed thru sanding down my gelx nails. Left them super bumpy and uneven. When i asked her to sand them down and make them even she insisted that it was my nail shape and said to wait till after she added the paint. Then i reminded her to sand them down and she said she couldn't now that she added the paint. Then reluctantly tried to sand them down and added another top coat on top making them even thicker and more uneven at one point she said that next time i should make an appointment if i wanted a better job with more time. WTF. Then why am i paying half price for half ass work. Don't go here. Period. read more

I have been coming here for over 6 years. Definitely my go to nail salon in LA. Everyone here is friendly and welcoming. I usually come here for gel manis and they always do a thorough job. Excellent service and positive vibes all around. There is a parking lot/garage conveniently across the street. It's $1/hour for the first 2 hours, so pretty good deal! read more

I recently started to come here from Hollywood. I wasn't able to find the person to hear what I needed and actually be okay with requests without looking annoyed of you until I came here and found Nikki. Nikki is amazing at her career. She is gentle when it comes to cleaning ingrown nails which I suffer a lot from. Her soul is a happy soul. She makes you feel very welcome and I never feel rushed. She is simply the best! I have given a few a tried but I ended up going back to her and sticking to her! One thing I do love a lot are the way she makes my French tips!! They are so bomb!! Everyone always compliments them! And honestly, it is hard to not vibe with her because of how amazing she is! I even started to bring in my mother in law to get her pedi and she absolutely loves her as well! I wish I could give a better review as my manicurist was lovely and sweet but the job was not great. I called at 1:15 for a 2pm and they told me to come in. When I arrived they were busy. I waited for 30 minutes in a pedicure chair. The place is absolutely filthy. I should have left when I saw the arm rests on the massage chair and the massage remote. Covered in paint, stains and dust/grime. Unfortunately I stayed. My manicure was uneven and the paint clumpy/thick. The pedicure was too short and my nails/cuticles looked ragged as I left. I had to get my nails redone before a wedding because I had messed them up the day before. The lady who took care of me was extremely patient and listened to what I wanted. There was so much time and effort in ensuring that I liked the end product for my pedicure. She even let me try a color out and switch it without issue when I didn't like the first color I picked. This place has wonderful staff and they do an amazing job with nails. My pedicure cost about $25 before tip. This place is definitely much more reasonably priced than other places I've been to in the past. 100% would recommend to anyone in the area. read more

Visiting for the weekend, I called around 2pm for a same day appointment and was scheduled at 6pm. Due to traffic, I ended up calling back and I was rescheduled at 7pm for a full set-- very accommodating. When I walked into the shop, it was a full house! I ended up waiting a few minutes before Sydney started fixing my cuticles. She is super nice and very talented! She talked me up to getting Gel-X instead of the regular acrylic set. She BODIED the design I showed her. The Gel-X + Design = $90 w/o tip. I was in an out of the shop a little over an hour. Overall: GREAT experience at Wonder Nails!! Would definitely recommend. I just moved to the neighborhood and it's a lovely day so I thought I'd get a much needed pedicure. When I walked in he said it be few minutes. Nearly 30 mins later and still "few minutes." So I walked out. The place isn't very clean and they don't seem especially friendly so not heartbroken that I didn't get my pedicure from there but they lost a potentially loyal customer who lives a few blocks away. The massage chairs are a nice bonus. A pedicure with no color is around $25-$30. They are pretty fast but still thorough and efficient. They can usually accommodate with no appt which is great. The parking across the street is $1/hr. Love coming here and getting a matcha nearby. read more

Ok, I am too through. Made an appointment for today at 12:30, didn't get serviced until 1:15ish and was done at like 2:45. Ugh. The line of the manicure is smudged and looks a got damn mess on every nail. The cute gold charms are all crooked and the dollar signs are backwards with globs of adhesive you can clearly (now) see. Then of course they start to rush through me and stand up applying the charms because a regular with an appointment came in. When i started to see Lyn my nails were fragile thin and will brake easily. 4 months after i could finally rock my natural nails with out having the brake/chip. Tina! Part of why I see Felicia specifically -- and not one of those high-volume places with curtain walls and hospital beds for tables (you know the ones) -- is the whole experience. A facial should be calming and restorative, and Felicia's warmth has always been as much a part of that as her technique. When that warmth disappeared at the door, it colored everything that followed. The facial itself was top notch. Felicia is genuinely skilled, stays current on products and techniques, and can deliver a top-notch treatment in her sleep. I hope this was an off day, because the person that greeted me at the door was not the warm person that I've been loyal to for a decade and a half.

I was literally trying to find the studio for the first time. They have a seven-minute grace period, which is unusually strict, particularly given how difficult their location is to navigate. I was not given clear instructions about where to park. Once you arrive, there is no sign identifying the studio by its name anywhere that I could see. The building signage/directory was in Korean, and I could not find English signage identifying the studio. As someone who does not read Korean and had never been there before, I had no obvious way of knowing where the business was located. I called approximately eight minutes after my appointment time while I was already parking and explained that I was there and that finding the parking had been confusing. I was told that my appointment had already been canceled because they only offer a seven-minute grace period. So, to be clear: I was a first-time customer who had booked approximately 30 minutes earlier, was physically at the location and parking, and was ONE MINUTE beyond their grace period--and they had already canceled my appointment. On top of that, they never notified me that they canceled it. No call. No text. Nothing. Had I not called them myself, I would have parked, gone inside, tried to navigate a building where their studio was not clearly identified to me, and apparently only then discovered that my appointment had been canceled. I completely understand businesses having late policies. What I don't understand is having such a rigid seven-minute cutoff while providing a first-time customer with inadequate information for navigating an unfamiliar and confusing location--and then offering absolutely no understanding or flexibility when that customer is already there and parking one minute beyond the cutoff. The way the phone conversation was handled was probably the most disappointing part. There was no attempt to understand the situation, help, accommodate me, or even acknowledge the confusion. It was simply that my appointment had already been canceled. The interaction came across as dismissive and unnecessarily rude. Policies are one thing; customer service is another. If you're going to have an unusually strict seven-minute grace period, then provide first-time customers with exceptionally clear parking and arrival instructions and notify them if you're canceling their appointment. A little communication, courtesy, and reasonable flexibility would have completely changed this experience. Instead, they lost a brand-new customer before I ever even made it through the door. I will not be returning.

I had the most wonderful experience at Wonder Nails! From the moment I walked in, I felt welcomed and relaxed. The salon is clean, beautifully organized, and has a warm atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. It was my first time visiting, and I was blown away by their honesty and genuine customer care. I have been going to this same location for years. Recently, it changed name and ownership. What didn't change is the quality! I have naturally long nails and the Wondernails team always makes sure to take care of me and my nails fabulously! At the moment, I am on three weeks with the same gel mani/pedi. NO chips, no broken nails. They know what they are doing. I am pretty vocal about any issues with them. If I don't like how something looks, I let them know right away and they are more than happy to fix it. The biggest plus is not just the service, they are also exceptionally friendly. read more

Dropped in to this convenient downtown location after work for a mani pedi and was seated right away. The experience was fine, but results were poor. The second coat didn't entirely cover the first coat, giving me an annoying uneven effect to the base and sides, the top coat on some nails didn't cover the color and I did not get the full service that I had paid for. I went to the counter to tell them I did not get good service and they were rude. They told me I could get five dollars off and then the woman that butchered my feet came out to argue with me about the service I received. read more

I am visiting from Florida and I needed my nails done real bad for the wedding, I saw this place and decided to give it a try. I got one of the new technician and she did such an amazing job, price is different from what I was used to and I dig it. Everything is so expensive in FL, might even move to Portland just to get these deals. I believe her name was Lyn or linne, I could not understand her because of her mask. They made sure to take their time fixing up my nails before applying a single coat of polish. I have been to this nail salon a few times now. I've never had a mani/pedi last as long as the ones I get here! This shop is super tiny and intimate, so you have to book an appointment. But it's totally worth it, they make getting your nails done really feel like self care. They take care of you, and not once have they rushed through my service. I originally wanted acrylic nails, but I was persuaded to get Gel-X instead because I was told they would last longer. Unfortunately, that has not been my experience. I wasn't planning on leaving a review, but after only one week, several of my nails are already lifting. For a $120 service, I expected much better quality and durability. At this point, they feel comparable to press-on nails. Overall, I'm disappointed because I spent a lot of money expecting a long-lasting, professional set, especially for a special occasion. I hope this feedback helps improve both the customer experience and the quality of the service.

When I sent a screenshot of their menu calling out the uncommunicated 50% markup, Tina tried to excuse it by saying it's the customer's responsibility to ask for the price beforehand if they want to know it. Because the high total caught me off guard at the register, I accidentally authorized a $15 tip on the screen. When I explained the mistake and asked for the tip back, Tina refused, and told me to "part ways." As if I was ever planning on returning. I'd recommend going somewhere else in DTLA that actually has upfront pricing, clean stations, and respects loyal clients.
