Future Great Comics is a new local comic book shop in Hamilton. They opened up almost a year ago. I…read morecould not be more excited about it because the last time we had a comic book shop in Hamilton was when I was a small child, and then that quickly turned into a tobacco store of all things! It's so great to not have to travel at least 30 minutes away to get some fresh comics. The owner, Brian, is super very friendly and helpful. He is one of the nicest, coolest people you'll ever meet. He's not at all stuck up or rude like at other comic shops... *cough* Queen City Comics *cough cough*. They sell new comic issues and some back issues as well. If you don't see something you want, Brian will be more than happy to try to order it in for you if he can. He started carrying Invader Zim just for me and my husband. They also sell toys and collectibles, they have a good selection of Funko Pop figures. They sell graphic novels, manga, table top gaming supplies and t-shirts too. He is always getting some good rare stuff into the store that he found at flea markets or auctions. They also regularly hold costume contests, signings by artists, and other such events. They have a table top gaming space in the back of the store. I know he is trying to get a program started where people can come in, sit down, chill out and try out a table top game, and afterwards he will start selling the games in the store if people really take to it. Indeed, this is a godsend and a lovely, wonderful gem to have in Hamilton. Do yourself a favor and stop in, chat with Brian, buy some of his awesome merch, and maybe sit down for a game or two. This store deserves all of your business!! Don't let another comic book shop get away from Hamilton! Especially not an amazing one like this.

I came across ca comic book store in Fairfield on Wednesday, and although comic books aren't…read moregenerally thought to be cool I think the store itself was. Queen City Comics, located in the Diplomat Village center along the Dixie Highway, has thousands and thousands of comic books in their store, all of the classics and a large selection of ones the average person--myself included--has never heard of. The extensive collection of comic books is alphabetized, making it very easy to find what you are looking for, but they also have a "This Week's New Comics" section to feature the latest comic books. Queen City Comics isn't limited to just the comic books, however, as they also have a lot of other collector's items. I saw t-shirts, posters/movie posters, actions figures, trading cards, and even a life-size figure of a comic book character (maybe the Green Lantern or someone), although I am not sure that was for sale. I don't read comic books but I think that Queen City Comics is a neat store. I am convinced they have (or have had) pretty much every comic book out there. From classics like Batman, the Adventures of Superman, and the Avengers to even Disney and Simpsons comic books, they have a huge collection of comic books and related collector's items, making it the perfect store for comic lovers.

I don't particularly care what your politics are, I like comics. If I don't know you I am not going to talk politics especially now and the complete lack of awareness of this guy was really something. Then another employee?/friend? came in and started talking all sorts of nonsense which certainly isn't appropriate for customers to hear. I put down the books I was going to buy and went next door to the Toy Department and spent my money there instead. I don't know if this store is owned by the same people who own the store on Montgomery road but if it is the owner needs to do something bc the store in Montgomery is great and this one is a nightmare.

They have all that you could want and more with the extensive busts and statues for sale along with many auxillary items of your favorite comic book heroes and villains. The stock of comics is exquisite and easy to locate and not just stopped into old comic book boxes. Plenty of nostalgia items and displays throughout the year especially the Springfield exhibit they put out each year. The loyalty card works so well for me that the first half of the year pays for my second half of the year comics and toys. Nice Funko collection available of the more popular choices as well as a nice room dedicated to Legos including some displays and artwork from Legos. Truly a gem of a place to visit a must see!

We mapped this place but honestly didn't have high hopes, simply due to the small town in which it's located. However, we walked inside and it is full... and I mean FULL of all kinds of geeky wonders! Comics galore, figures, vintage stuff, toys, you name it! My kid was able to a fat stack some sought after Invader Zim comics she's been hunting for ages. Husband got some graphic novels to hold him over. And yes, I found some manga that I'm super excited about for the flight home. These are like... some kind of obscure manga I've not found elsewhere. Bonus! Prices are great! The fella at the counter was super nice! We really, really liked this shop! We'll stop in again the next time we visit the area.
