Love this place around Christmas. I believe it was 37.50 ...not sure if that was car load. Anyway…read morehere's what u need to know... its way out in the middle of nowhere with lots of curves and animals to watch out for. Didnt see any but with the woods it can happen.. you park in a field so potentially muddy. Its a walk around place so dress accordingly hat, gloves scarf layers ... maybe look into heated vest gloves and or scarf. There are buildings selling things like Christmas ornaments, decorations and food. Bought hot chocolate outside that was barely luke warm. They had porta potties that had awful smell and thankfully didnt need one. Lots of lights and selfie opportunities. Be kind and offer to snap pics for families ... mom always the one taking them and never in them. Lovely huge bonfire to warm up at. Its a pricey place but I think its great. They close early than posted time. I saw some people entering thru the exit. We drove 45 minutes id have been aggravated to get there and not get in when it was at least 30 minutes before closing time. The posted closing time is 9 which seems early. But by 8,:30 they stopped letting people in. They dobtake reservations and give 5 off. No discount for military or veterans Loved the toy train room and the light up arches. There is an outdoor train. You pay extra buy tickets. This is best on nights its not super cold. Definitely not raining or windy. After a rain the mud is real both for walking and parking. Some cars get stuck. The mud everywhere is a huge problem... use some of the profit to invest in gravel and straw to help make this less a show after rain.

Disappointing. Costs $37 for a carload. We waited 1 hour and 45 minutes in the car line before…read moreparking. The actual village is just muddy walkways and gift shops. The lights themselves are underwhelming and many are not working correctly. There just isn't really anything to do once you're inside.

It is a beautiful farm and a perfect holiday errand as the Christmas season arrives. You're able to bring your dog along, as well, which is always a fun perk! They also have a section where you can pet and feed the goats on the farm. The Christmas Trees here are so beautiful! We had so many to choose from. Once we selected one, a worker was able to help us check-out and get us situated for our car to pick the tree up. You take the tag from the tree and pay for it inside the barn/gift shop. The gift shop has wreaths, ornaments, nativity scene figures, stockings, and pretty much anything else you can think of in terms of Christmas decor. We found a new tree topper during our visit too, which was on our agenda. Every employee we encountered was so kind and friendly! There are selections of fudge, locally made kettle corn, and other snacks available, along with complimentary hot chocolate. Our tree was around $100, which I think is more than real trees offered at super markets, however the experience of the farm and quality of the tree make it an incredible value. Big Tree Plantation holds such a special place in my heart!

Unfortunately it has gone downhill the past few years and the trees are now sparse and dying. We went to get a tree today and all the trees in the field were brown or not very full, so we ended up getting a pre-cut tree from the tree barn. Part of the fun is cutting it down yourself so this was a bummer. They do have other things- a barn with gifts and decor, snacks and free hot chocolate. They also have some goats you can pet and feed. These are nice but unfortunately they have gone down hill in their main thing - Christmas trees. Next year we will go elsewhere for a tree. Bummer because my family knew the old owners and it use to be so great!

It was not a trivia night like I was used to, but it was awesome! It was more of a candle making session 3 rounds of Psych trivia questions. They had themed mocktails and a made themed candle! It was so fun! The candle making process was SO much fun too! They get you set up with an apron and then show you how to mix and match scents that you might want. There are over 100 different scents to choose from! You also get to choose which size/color your candle jar you want. The pricing goes by the size of the candle, with the small ones starting around $38. After you choose your scents and jar, you go to your seat and then they instruct you on pouring the right amount of oil(s) for the size candle you are making. As you pour your oil until you get it to the right blend that you want, you stir the oil in the little measuring cup. After that, they help you with attaching the wick in the bottom of the jar. After that, you get some time to name your candle, make your label for it, and put the scent mixture label on the bottom. The last step is pouring in the oils and the hot wax! They give you a beaker of the hot wax depending on the size jar of your candle. You pour your oils in first and the hot wax on top. You then mix the wax and oils until they are well blended. After that happens, they give you a pair of "chopsticks" to put around your wick to keep it standing up while it curates. It takes 2 hours to curate. If you don't have the 2 hours, you can come back another day to pick it up. This was such a cool experience! I want to do a girls night out with it! In addition to this, the staff was AMAZING! Lily was super crazy helpful. She ran the trivia night. I won the trivia night in the time slot I was at. The prize was a wax melt and some popcorn. I ended up purchasing some other things to bring home!
