He mentioned he was the manager over at Wonder, located right in the center. The very next day, our office decided to order lunch from Wonder. When I went to pick it up, that same gentleman-Nick was there. He immediately remembered me, shook my hand, and genuinely thanked me for stopping by. That kind of hospitality is rare these days. Nick was gracious, professional, and incredibly kind. On top of that, the concept at Wonder is very cool, the space is impressive, and the food was absolutely delicious! The front of house staff are almost always super friendly and food is ready quickly. Items have been hit or miss for me, but if you reply to their request for a review and comment you didn't like something they almost always work to make it right on the next trip. Particular favorite is the Tuna Poke Bowl and the crunch salads. Thai food was a miss for me, but will probably try again. I just wish they had more options that were under 1000 calories. Takeout is hard enough to get something healthy when you are traveling and I think they could have some options specifically with lower calories that are easier to find. For $10, you can get delivery which covers a pretty large area. This is my second week eating these meals and I feel much better and in control. They don't have a truck, but have a small tented area where they display the menu, take orders and pay (credit cards accepted). Then next to it is a large wide smoker and a table where you hand over the receipt and collect your order. They offer pulled pork, brisket, ribs, chicken, roasted hog and sides (baked beans, mac & cheese, coleslaw, cornbread, etc). They use their own special dry rub, so this BBQ is not dripping wet. They do have several BBQ sauces to add to your food. The baked beans had a pleasant kick to them. I do think they should use a nice brioche roll instead of the average burger roll. I've had a lot of different BBQ from various states in the country and this was better than average. About an 8 out of 10. I was glad to see no fatty pieces in my pulled pork, but my husband found one in his brisket. That's just a matter of making sure prep is perfect. At South Mall, there are no chairs and tables to dine. So bring your own portable ones and dine near your car or take it home. The entire area is blocked and all the trucks/tents face the center of the large rectangular area. Worth checking out.
