This place was said to be very good, and was highly recommended by everyone in the area. But, the PRICE was over priced, the quality WAS NOT what I paid for. ALSO: MAJOR PET PEEVE: THEY PUT SUGAR IN THE TOMATO SAUCE! WAY TOO SWEET! U should TELL people U MAKE SWEET SUGAR SAUCE because otherwise I WOULD NEVER HAVE COME HERE. I didn't think the quality of the cheese was that great either. I've had better pizza from junk pizza places in South Philly, and just a few bucks. WHAT IS THIS? The service was way too slow, and nonchalant. My father was also expecting better, since he usually came there frequently, and even HE WAS DISAPPOINTED.

    Avocado Salad without avocado!?!
    Kyle H.

Tonight was my first experience with Blue Bell Pizza. I was disappointed to find that my stuffed pizza did not include any pizza sauce. Perhaps this is a regional preference, but it was a surprise to me. My real frustration came when I opened the "avocado salad". There was no avocado included! Avocado was 99% of the reason I ordered the salad! Also, there was still a piece of the shell on the hard boiled egg in the salad. I had high hopes, but BBP came up well short of expectations tonight. I will probably try another local pizza place next time.

Not great. Expensive slices. Only reason I stop here is because it's next to the dispensary I frequent.

Good spot for lunch during the week if you work in Blue Bell. A nice chicken Caesar salad in a big lunch, or a meal with some leftovers.

The bar area is beautiful, comfortable and service was excellent. The martini was on the large size, which doesn't offend me LMAO. And the beer selection also did not offend me. ;) The tuna tartare was soooo good, I could have eaten a couple of them. Taste was exceptional and really really fresh with no sinew. The fried chicken sandwich was crispy and full of flavor. I like this place after one visit and will return. Let's see if they can get that 5th star from me. We were seated and our server, Joanne gave us a quick rundown on the menu. She was very attentive and personable. Our party of four ordered the pork sandwich, the shrimp BLT, deviled eggs, the pepperoni flat bread, the meatball skillet, shrimp cocktail and French onion soup. The sandwiches were excellent and were served with perfectly cooked shoestring fries. The soup was great - plenty of cheese & bread topping delicious broth & caramelized onions. Joanne was correct when she told us the shrimp cocktail was "elevated". The grilled shrimp were marinated and perfectly seasoned. The flatbread was good, topped with a drizzle of hot honey. The deviled eggs were yummy but I would rather the bacon on top didn't have a maple flavor to it. The meatball skillet was served with toasted bread slices, hearty marinara and dollops of ricotta. The meatballs were a little dry but we enjoyed it anyway. We will definitely plan on coming back to The Fort to try new items and for another pork sandwich. Great spot!

However, they offer a "waitlist," which can be helpful. Or do we as we do, and just get there as early as 5pm (that's toddler living, baby). Boy did this place fill up around 6:30pm. I typically lean towards the mediterranean options when I dine here, but they really have such a great variety. From pizza, to pasta, salads, or even burgers. We started with the Mediterranean combo platter which came with all the yummies- Humus, Baba Ganush, Tabbouleh, Falafel, Stuffed Grape Leaves & feta (plus, cucumbers for our gluten free diner). All to die for. As for entrees, our tiny queen got chicken fingers and fries- $17 is kinda crazy for a kids meal if I'm being honest, but it's a large portion. I went with the filet souvlaki which was so tasty- especially the tzatziki sauce. My mom went with the leg of lamb platter, and J got a greek salad- add chicken. Enjoyable, all around. For dessert, the tiny queen requested the brownie with vanilla ice cream and the birthday girl (my mom) opted for the lemon cake. Everyone's bellies were very happy by the end. My only complaint are some of the prices and upcharges. $4 add cucumber because someone is gluten free is crazy. Nonetheless, this will not stop us from returning. There are so many options to please everyone!
