Cool bartenders and very reasonably priced drinks. Lots of lights and decorations for taking pictures.

The place smelled like vomit. I couldn't even stand it long enough to order a drink. Clean your establishment, and maybe don't over serve.

Visiting Cleveland and stumbled upon this little gem. Cool vibe and great drinks. Bartenders are knowledgeable and skilled. The music helped keep the vibe flowing. Nice mix of people. This was on a Tuesday night and most other downtown bars were either closed or lame. read more

Wonder Bar - Espresso Martini - Bars Near Me - Cleveland, Ohio

ZERO STARS! A large group of us stopped into this bar tonight after the comedy show for a drink. While we were waiting at the bar, my husband asked an older blond lady wearing a sequin jacket, standing behind the bar for drinks. She proceeded to rub his shoulders, look at him in the face and say to him "Never order drinks from the owner, Asshole". Um what?! Who treats their customers like that? And also why don't you help serve customers when your employees are busy? Shame on you Wonderbar for doing business that way. This old lady lost you business. Boo read more

This establishment gets one star and thats for the name. Don't let it fool you and don't waste your time. The bartenders are super ignorant and the drinks are horrible. The bartenders talk down to you and snub you if you ask them a question. The espresso martini tasted so bad I literally had to spit it in my napkin. Maybe too much cheese in it. Who knows it was garbage. How can you mess up something so simple. The holiday shot blue balls was a glass full of sour mix and will instantly make your stomach turn. I think these bartenders should rethink their career, mixology is not for them. The holiday decorations were decent but the mood instantly dies from the drinks along with your spirit. The gaming machines just eat your money and of course no refunds just like the disgusting drinks. read more

If I could give negative stars I would! On 12/28, a group of us (about 10 to 12 people) went to the WonderBar on East 4th. The place was empty and now I know why. When we walked in, we were met with a rude, drunk and foul mouthed manager Robin. It started the minute we walked in when she proceeded to tell us in great detail how she was still drunk from the night before, made out with a 22-year-old, and then berated the other bartender working with her. Look, I'm not Mary Poppins, I was able to ignore all of that- we were a bunch of friends doing a Christmas bar hop. We wanted to have fun - and not have this person ruin our day. But it didn't stop there - that was just the warm up. She cranked the music to the point of being so loud that our friend with cochlear implants ears were ringing.  So, one of the members in our group (politely) asked her to turn down the music.  And that's when she really got nasty! She pointed at my friend and screamed at her "B***h!  Get the f**k out of this bar!"  We were all shocked and looked at her. Then she pointed at my friend and then at me and (repeatedly) yelled at us "that's right!  You and you!  Get the f**k out now!"  So we got our stuff together and as we were leaving, she continued to berate us and yell at us. Look, I'm not gonna lie, at this point I started to yell back - I'm Italian, what can I say. ‍ During this time the other bartender- who should have de-escalated the situation began to taunt us. It was pure chaos! I emailed the Wonder Bar to tell them about our experience. But they never responded. No surprise there. The manager was drunk, rude and threatening. The other staff was complicit- probably grateful that the focus was taken off of them. What started out as a great day with friends was terribly impacted by your her.  Worst experience ever! read more

Came here on a Friday night with my boyfriend as we're from Chicago so we explored 4th street which was beautiful and this cute bar stood out to us so we walked right in. It is nicely decorated with lights that call your attention. We ordered drinks - tequila mule + old fashioned which were both real good. My boyfriend ordered at the bar as i saved a table for us. Pretty good music too! We played the old school basketball game they had and the beer pong game - both were fun and only $1 per game read more

so rude , terrible service - I'll never go there we were polite and waiting so long to order a drink - they were horrible- so sad people can't just be kind - it wasn't packed at all - very disappointed how the service industry has become- read more

Cute little spot! We stopped in for a drink before a comedy show and enjoyed ourselves. It's a fun vibe with hanging greenery complete with plastic flamingos. I ordered the glitter disco ball drink which was good and my husband had just a gin and tonic. They have fun games in the back such as ski ball and pong. I'd recommend for a drink or two! Drink list items were around $10 and up but they did have a special where you could get 5 high noons for $30. read more

Honestly, I always thought wonder bar was a super cool decent place. I hadn't been in a few years, and we were so excited when we arrived, we came for a nightcap and it wasn't too crowded, we grabbed 4 seats by the bar. Unfortunately, we had a terrible experience, after enjoying a night with friends, we requested water from the bartender, he passive-aggressively directed us to the water cooler, we grabbed a cup of water and came back to order a white claw, we ordered 4 white claws and we didn't say anything but sat down, the bartender took our order and said "are you going to be a tough guy?" to a guy in our group. Confused, we said, "not at all", within a minute, he walked over, cracked open our white claws and poured them out in front of us and directed us to leave. I am sure this was a miscommunication! He assumed we were being hostile and instructed us to leave the restaurant, I stepped aside and addressed the owner and attempted to mitigate the situation, she did not offer any condolences and said her bartender asked us to leave so we need to leave. Other people at the bar were alarmed and confused, and we left feeling defeated and disappointed. I have been with Yelp for years and never had a terrible experience to report but I think it is important to consider the service industry right now, being low staffed, we understand immediate service is not always possible, but my with the bartender read more

I love the atmosphere, service, and selection here!!! Among the things that make Wonder Bar special are various types of game machines, electronic jukebox, and friendly bartenders. read more

My family and I came here while staying in Cleveland for the night after a Guardians game, and despite a fairly pleasant experience here, it just wasn't for me. The drinks were fairly cheap, which was good - the service was extremely slow despite not being that busy, as it took us 20 minutes to finally get a drink while at the bar. The ambiance/atmosphere wasn't my favorite either, unfortunately, this place just wasn't for me. Would still recommend to people stopping by in Cleveland, though! read more

Wonder bar it is a wonder how this place exists in the high rent district of East 4th. This is your local neighborhood bar transported to one of the most trendy areas of cleveland. It is an amazing hole in the wall bar disguised on the exterior as a trendy over priced place. If you are tired of snobby uppity people this is the place for you. Sit back enjoy and people watch the characters throughout this place read more

Your average bar located in the heart of Downtown Cleveland. This is a good place to check out the bar games, beer selection from the local brewers or outside patio. If you're looking for a casual spot to grab a drink in the heart of the busiest street in Downtown Cleveland then I would recommend this bar. The bar gives off a townie feel which is warm and welcoming to anyone. The bartenders are welcoming, love joking around and will keep you laughing. There isn't anything special about this bar. I came in here to grab a drink with some friends. We didn't try any of the food and didn't even take the time to look at the menu. The drinks were cheap and the daily specials were tempting. read more

The Wonder lies at Wonder Bar... perhaps you come here as a stop off point on a night out or for a night cap after an event, the wonder bar is just that, a bar to serve your needs. Don't come here expecting a 5 star dining experience, come here expecting a local bar with no reservations. The crowd is lax and the bartenders are fun and engaging with the customers. Prepare for a good laugh while enjoying a drink or two, or three... We only came as a night cap and enjoyed one drink here and it definitely came with some laughs for sure. The bar is pet friendly which is a huge plus in my book! Also if you're a downtown local and let them know you luck out with a sweet discount. read more

By far my favorite bar in Cleveland! Everyone was very friendly. Great customer service. Ashley was our bartender. We ended up going twice in the same night and she was there both times. Drinks were delicious. The environment was fun and upbeat. They have this fun "beer" pong game in the back, of course no frills is provided with it, lol, it only cost $1 a game. Definitely check them out, it is located on 4th street, and it is closed off so you can walk around. read more

Wow. Went there after tree lighting. Very hard to get a drink. It seemed like the staff was fighting. After I finally got a drink I watched the staff do rounds of shots. The older blond lady seemed to be drunk and yelling at people. We stayed because it was so cold -and we were watching the chaos behind the bar. I wonder if she's the owner (which was suggested to me). There was more booze being drunk behind the bar than being served over it. It was fun only because it was such a a disaster. read more

I was in town for the weekend with no real game plan. Staying a few blocks away, I explored the neighborhood and came across this semi hidden gem. It gave me NYC dive bar vibes. I just ordered a tequila sunrise (fairly normal mixed drink order- 3 ingredients) here and the bartender (older woman with blonde hair) accosted me for it asking "Are you 90 years old? Are you serious?" and then said "You're queer." I turned around and left the bar with my friends before she even finished making my "queer" drink. The girls next to us at the bar were astonished that she was so shocked about the tequila sunrise in the first place. For a place called "Wonder Bar" with neon lights and flowers lining the walls, this place was incredibly un-wonderful. We will not be back. read more

Came here for a couple after dinner drinks with a big group. This bar was great! Nice staff, good drinks and nice vibe.

I've never had such terrible service my entire life. We walked into the bar, sat down at a table, slightly confused of what to expect. Respectfully so, went to the bar to order shots, to which the bartender/wait staff said...you have to be 6' apart. Understand so due to covid, however nobody else was sitting the proper feet apart. Went back to our table when the waiter came Over to take our drink order and he was not polite at all. One of the ladies in our company asked if they had any spiked seltzer's , he said no...then she said i see white claw over there and he said, oh yeah, we have that. We all work in the service industry in Nashville. We came here to get away for a bit and he looked at us like we were stupid. Asked a couple questions, he had comments under his mask, went to the bar then looked at us and us we can't serve you. We left them to be respectful. I've never in my 36 years of life dealt with this kind of negativity. I would never go back and would never recommend this place to anyone. Also, I've never wrote a review on yelp. To have service this bad, means something. Save your time. Don't go there. Go across the street to pickwik. Wonderful service. read more

Terrible service. The bartender was rude begging for a big tip. My friends and I were shocked. All we got was one shot each and paid separately. We left as soon as we could. Only stayed for 5 minutes and left right after his rude comment was said to us. Very bad service would not go again. They need better staff. Gave us not even a full shot in a plastic cup. I'm not sure what he was looking for. read more

Went in around midnight. Asked the bartender (male, dar receding hair, 50ish) for a White Russian He said he doesn't have cream. So I asked for a Black Russian. He repeated that he doesn't have cream. I explained that a Black Russian is vodka and Kalhua He brings me a Bailey's Irish Cream. It may have had vodka in it. Not sure. But also not the point: How does a BARTENDER not know how to make a White Russian?? You would think I walked into a vacuum store. Nope. It was a bar. Was only here for 5 minutes before the owner (middle aged woman) came in behind the bar and started on a rampage for 30 minute about customers, cussing loudly, and making everything uncomfortable. My favorite is when she said, "I don't want money- I just want to go home" then proceeded to yell loudly behind the bar some more. Other bartenders were great, just feel bad for them having to put a smiley face on a terrible situation. read more

We went to Wonder Bar on a Friday night after a company party and it was a huge mistake. When we walked in (at 10:00 pm) the bartender started screaming obscenities at us saying she didn't have time to be dealing with more people. Confused, we still went in and waited to order drinks. The bartender proceeded to yell at two people who wanted to cash out after one beer ("this isn't even worth my time, what the hell are you doing here if you just want one beer"). We couldn't get out of there fast enough. read more

I had an awesome experience here this weekend! I haven't gone out much since COVID, but we decided to check this place out to celebrate a big event this week. Wonder Bar is one of the few gems on Cleveland. To start, the interior is eclectic and colorful. I can't tell you how tiring it is to walk in to a bar and hear the same old tired songs you've heard a million times. This bar fortunately is an oasis of individuality and offers a contemporary atmosphere with songs you can *actually* dance to. Let's just say the vibes are immaculate. The owner Robin along with one of the bartenders Mike, are specifically the heart of the locale in my eyes. From the very first time I stepped foot into Wonder Bar (a clever play on words especially if you're German) I've felt welcomed, entertained, and at home. I have brought friends here specifically to show them why I LOVE Cleveland-- because of hidden gems such as this. It is truly one of its kind-- even walking past the bar you can tell this is *the* hotspot on the entire East 4th strip. I really can't gush enough about this place because it has defined Cleveland as a destination. It's my personal dependable go-to on my nights out downtown. Why? It's simply always a good time. I've met some of my closest friends here and it's become one of my weekend staples. I'd recommend this spot to any visitor or local. read more

Not sure why the ratings for this bar are so low. I have absolutely zero complaints about this place. Bartender was the only one there and he was able to handle three tables and multiple people at the bar with ease. Wonder Bar - Closing time! - Bars Near Me - Cleveland, Ohio

Phenomenal strawberry mules. Only $8 during happy hour. I came here to kill some time, and pregame, before a concert at the Q. It was the only bar that was pretty dead compared to the others, so we decided to stop by and check it out. Pretty nice bar with lots of open space, and super tasty cocktails and drafts. Bartender was super friendly and took care of my party of 4. Removing a star since 3 of us had check issues. It was literally just us for the whole happy hour but he screwed up our bills and didn't ring in the correct prices. I'd recommend coming just for the mule! read more

Was in Cleveland over the weekend for the NCAA Wrestling Tournament and stopped here to meet some friends after the evening session. We were lined up at the door to get in so I thought this might be a pretty good place. Took about fifteen minutes to get in and it took twenty minutes to get a drink at the bar. The positive is they have a very large selection of beers on tap and by the bottle as well as an extensive collection of liquors and mixers. I thought the prices are on the high side though that is common place for a lot of downtown locations that count on the sporting and special events to meet their margins. I realize they were busy, but the waits weren't worth it and I really wonder why I came to the Wonder Bar. The friends I were meeting were from Iowa so I won't be meeting them here again anytime soon. This place might be a lot nicer if they weren't as busy and you were a regular that could grab the attention of the bartenders. read more

Worst bartender! Doesn't know how to treat patrons. Called me a "f**king idiot" for walking outside. Terrible. Cleveland has better bars

RUDE & RACIST. Overheard the bartender say to the regulars beside me at the bar. (Referring to the juke box) "I don't know why people like playing that Bro music (as she called it)". Saying this all the while turning up some country music. Which I'm not sure where her statement even came from. Given that I had been there for a good 45 minutes and not one person had even been playing any music. The box had just been randomly playing music on it's own. So shortly later I played some music. Some rock music was my music of choice. The bartender immediately turned down the music and would skip songs. Then after that. Anyone who decided to cash out and leave. Which people normally don't hangout in one spot all night. Bartender told me I was killing the vibe and running off customers. Killing the vibe with the music you cant even hear now or with songs you skipped I asked? Hey Hun, here's the deal. Maybe people just leave cause they're tired of sitting at your shitty bar staring at your ugly rude ass. So if you're looking for a bar to hangout at. I highly recommend Johnny's Little Bar. They welcome walks of all lifes. Service always friendly. Drinks always stiff. Food always excellent. And people load the juke box up with all genres of music that never gets turned down. And everyone is always having a great time. Wonder Bar, You're Trash. read more
