Visiting from Brooklyn, NY, we were looking for a place to watch English football on Boxing Day…read moreover the Christmas weekend. Had called a few days ahead to see if they would have the games and would be open that early. Whoever answered was really pleasant and accommodating. On Saturday they were open for the match we had specified The space was as advertised - a neighborhood bar and grill with enough TVs to satisfy a sports fan. It was early, but the vibe from staff and the regulars at the bar was relaxing. The owner/cook (I'm guessing) had kindly put our game on a big screen and came around the bar to serve us. Very helpful, very polite. When the bartender arrived, she continued the friendly service while he went back to the kitchen. Enjoyed all of the food. The poppers and sauerkraut balls were tasty and fried nicely (clean taste, not overly oily or greasy). We really enjoyed trying the Serbian dishes. The Cevapi was a healthy portion of tasty, rich tasting sausages. Had never had them before but will be on the lookout for them now. The Sarma was a nice stuffed-cabbage variant. The Lepinja (garlic flatbread) and Serbian salad balanced our in-game lunch. Next time I come back to visit family I would definitely head over to grab a beer and have a bite. My thanks to the staff for a nice start to our Saturday.

I don't usually leave a tip until I leave and I leave cash even if I paid w a card. Also, people don't have to leave a tip. Be happy they purchased from your establishment. Unacceptable, unprofessional, etc. It was scary. I wanted to defend her, but was also worried he'd do something to me so I kept quiet. He should be fired for that or shut down if he's the owner. Sip-N-Post - The Dagwood is definitely delicious! Highly recommend. The bread is fresh, the coleslaw is perfect too.

I was hovering between 4 and 5 stars for these reasons…read more.. Food: when we were handed the menu, i wasn't expecting anything special and initially thought we'd potentially made a mistake stopping here for lunch. however, i'm pleased to say, the food was really delicious. Danielle had a Turkey Reuben (not on the menu, but they were kind enough to make it). we shared a basket of fries and they were also great - probably more than we needed and a 1/2 basket would have been fine. i had a bowl of chili and a chicken philly. The chili was incredible. i normally have to doctor up a chili w/ a sugar substitute to cut the acid. this didn't need that and had a really nice heat to it. it came with some sort of corn tortillas that i'd never seen but which really made for a nice accompaniment. the sandwich was ok. the taste was good but the chicken was overcooked and dry and i had trouble chewing through the onion, too. overall, 4.5-5 stars for the food. Service: i don't know how i feel about the service. it wasn't really anything special. the bartender was the only person working the front and maybe he was just tired. he wasn't rude or anything just kinda going through the motions. i don't hold it against him at all. in fact, he was - as i'd mentioned before - kind enough to allow Danielle to order a sandwich that wasn't on the menu. Ambiance: i mean, let's be honest. the place is a dive. Danielle apparently knows the owners and says they've never put any money into it and it's kinda obvious. i haven't been there in nearly 20 years prior to Saturday and nothing had changed. where we were sitting the brick floor was beginning to break away from the wall. kinda makes you wonder how long before daylight will be shining through. anyway, overall i really liked my lunch and i'd be happy to add Sip-n-Post to our regular rotation.

The hostess greeted us warmly and kindly walked us to our table. Our server, Cam, was excellent--very polite, attentive, and a great communicator throughout the evening. We started with three appetizers: the baked brie with poached pear, bang bang shrimp, and the French onion soup. All three were delicious and well seasoned. The baked brie with poached pear was especially amazing, and the French onion soup had wonderful flavor. For drinks, we tried the basil lemonade mocktail and white chocolate martinis. The martinis were fantastic--rich, chocolatey, and delicious. The mocktail was refreshing but could have used a little more flavor. For our entrées, I ordered the seafood pasta and my husband ordered the beer-battered cod special. His fish was perfectly seasoned and the batter was crispy and delicious. My seafood pasta initially came out a little dry and needed more sauce. When we let Cam know, he immediately communicated with the kitchen and they brought out a freshly made sauce right away, which made the dish much more flavorful and delicious. The atmosphere was great and the entire staff seemed friendly and professional. Overall, we had a really nice date night and appreciated the attentive service. We'll definitely be back again soon! If you'd like, I can also make a shorter Yelp version (which tends to get more engagement) or a funny/lighthearted version for date-night vibes.

Fire 45 Grille & Social - They have some beautiful design elements. It's definitely half upscale half bar vibe. I would describe it as a bougie tavern.
