I'm really just not sure why this thrift store has received so many bad reviews. I can only speak for myself and my experiences here. I have been here about 6 times now and all times have been great. I usually go in around 11:00am-12:00pm and will be there for an hour or sometimes even longer!!! Time sure does fly by in there! I'm an avid thrifter and I just enjoy looking through all of the racks, the mens, the womens, the kids, the sportswear and even pajamas!! I have found so many cute stylish pieces from here and the best part is the 50% off !!! They also sell hangers and they come in a pack of 10 for $1 ( I believe. . . Don't quote me on it cause they might be .50 cents, I'll have to check on it next time I go). The jewelry is so so cute too! They have some really nice home decor and kitchenware. It's a little pricier but still better than paying full price. The customer service here is good. I especially like it when the bilingual cashier is there. She's so friendly and kind (I wish I knew her name). There is one cashier (idk her name) who has a bit of a temper and needs to work on her patience a little but other than her everyone is nice and friendly. I was helping my kids search for some team spirit items for summer camp. They received their team colors. We went to WRC and they had pink velour cowboy hat that my daughter thought would work. It was definitely a cheap hat. Nothing fancy it was also unstitched in one spot. It wasn't priced. We asked how much it was and they said, "8 dollars with a 20% discount." I found the same hat on Walmart.com for $1.52 they have very similar ones all over the internet for less than $5. I like reusing and not producing more waste, but when a torn and used hat is 5 times the price, I just can't do that. Even with the 20% off it's 4 times the price of the new one. They price stuff the same out of convenience, but it seems like a cheap party hat should not be the same price as a Nike cap read more

WOMEN BEWARE! I got followed around the store and to my car by a white man in his 60s who is average height and seems like he might frequent that store. He started by starting up small talk when I was in the store and it made me feel pretty uneasy due to the fact there was no reason for him to talk to me. He had paid and waited for me to leave and then followed me to my car. Did not even get see the contents of the store as I felt unsafe the whole entire time. read more

I very carefully packaged my "high end" clothing for the Women's Resource Center. I used to praise them for helping get appropriate clothing for unemployed to use in interviews, etc. So I pull up into Handicapped space, get my walker out, very carefully unload a very large package of clothing. (I had washed and carefully hung on hangars!). As I walk up to donation area a young man gets up from what looks like on-line games, hauls my package off my walker opening the bottom of the package (sleeves and bottoms of tops fall out from bottom) and he drags it across the black top and gravel, etc. I almost burst into tears. I handed over the package of shoes (all matching pairs) and get "YA NEED A RECEIPT?" from someone tearing down boxes. I wanted so badly to at least get care and concern and a "thank you!" I will move on and donate somewhere else. A place that supports animals. I THINK I'll have a little more gratefulness and a "Thank you!" read more

This is a pretty awesome store. They have a large selection of : clothing, China, children's books and toys. The facility is clean and organized. The ladies that assisted me to the back door to give my donations were very nice. Everything in the store is at a very economical price. read more

I know that many of the reviews I have left on consignment and thrift stores have not been incredibly flattering, but come on, people! When you're charging near retail prices for items that wouldn't be worth that much even if they WERE in decent condition (I have seen so many shoddy products in these places that it's really beginning to turn me away from thrifting altogether - and anyone who knows me knows I've loved thrift stores for YEARS...to find unique items at reasonable prices). No, it's not because it's more "expensive" to live here. You are basically looking at a place that has ZERO overhead other than the cost of rent and utilities...because most of the staff working there are also clients of the nonprofit in question - so it's basically free labor! If you REALLY want to empower women and give them "resources," perhaps you can start by paying them a livable wage in order to better their situations in life rather than have staff members who have admitted to their customers that they have to work in the store to receive services. This is makes me so sad. I would expect one of the huge megastore chains to overcharge for items, treat its employees like indentured servants, and carry a stock full of items that are either not wanted, not needed, or just plain broken, dirty, or in sore need of repair. My good friend had the misfortunate of catching ringworm after trying on a shirt in this store. Ringworm!!! I know some of these items are not in the best of condition when they're donated or dropped off, but do you have to put EVERYTHING people donate to you on the selling floor? Even Goodwill, which I despise because of their business practices where a certain group of people get rich off of the work, efforts, and life condition of disabled individuals who are paid pennies on the dollar for hours of work which teach them very little in the way of job skills and very much in the way of how to get taken advantage of. I am really so tired of watching these "thrift stores" make money off of the poor, low income, disabled, victims of domestic violence and their children, and other marginalized groups that these types of stores claim to and are supposed to be empowering. Shameful. That's about all I can say. I feel bad for the poor employee I met...because it broke my heart to know that she cannot even afford to get a place of her own for her and her children due to the fact that her employer cares more about lining the pockets of those in charge of the nonprofit instead of sending the money where unwitting patrons THINK this money is going - to the populations it claims to serve. I am so glad that the law has changed and pretty soon, these relics of the past will actually be FORCED to pay livable wages for work equal to that of those who are not part of the marginalized groups being represented by these stores. It's just sad that it took the government stepping in to make these people do the right thing. You may have helped many people with your organization - but how many MORE people could you have helped if you had been less interested in profits and more interested in fulfilling your mission statement? read more

According to Yelp there are 16 other thrift shops within a six mile radius of this store. The prices in this stores are outrageous (even with your 50% off). I would suggest to management to look at the other thrift stores in the area and review the prices. I support non profit and all thrift stores (look at my check in's) but I still work hard for my money and want value for my dollar just like every other customer. I'm not expecting Nordstroms customer service from here or any other thrift stores but when I check out and there is no sign that says minimum to use a credit card and when I ask do you accept credit cards and I can't get a response from the clerk to make a decision. Then I get negative attitude from him as I do pay please put up a sign if you do not want to take credit cards! With all the other thrift stores in the area until customer service and prices are improved I hate to say it but I think I'll be shopping elsewhere. read more

I give this place 5 stars, within a context. And the context is this: The proceeds go to a women's center. The people looking online for thrift stores, chances are, will appreciate the the fact that this place is smaller and hasn't been raided by trust-fund-baby Hipsters, and that there are unexpected selections here. I found a lot of 1st edition Goosebumps and Choose-your-own-adventure childrens books. I found some 50 year old nightgowns for my elderly grandmother, and I found some crazy Death Metal t-shirts that the store probably didn't know were Death Metal t-shirts. The store is small, and if shopping for a whole new outfit, you'll probably have to shop elsewhere as well, but this place is Bomb. read more

Quite the scam they are running here... overpriced items, BUT, if you "donate a dollar" (to what, I'm not sure...) they give you 60% off your purchase... for the month of April... apparently my total would have been $15 + tax but since i "donated" i only paid $7.47 (which includes the $1 donation... that is not accounted for on the receipt.). This is a pretty awesome store! We were on vacation and love to thrift so we headed out to as many stores as we could find. This one was clean, very well arranged and had very good pricing. We found out as we were being rung up that everything was half off so we came back the NEXT day to take advantage of that sale! If I'd have had a bigger trunk, we'd have taken much more home with us. As it was, we found really cute designer silk tanks for cheap, I got two Turkish hand blow glass vases for $12 ($6 each) priced them out on the net for around $130 each! It's actually located at 3385 Mission Avenue, in Oceanside. I'd never payed much attention to this small space in a shopping center along Mission Avenue, but one day I had some time to kill before a salon appointment, and decided to check it out. I was greeted by three large busts of Beethoven, Mozart, and Vivaldi on a table right inside the door. Beyond were an array of knick knacks (wedding shot glasses, paintings, coffee mugs), and several clothing racks. I was browsing through one marked women - '70s tie blouses and too many shoulder pads in one building - when an elderly woman called to me from behind the counter. "You know, with your shape, you can probably look in the kid's section." Me: (courtesy chuckle. I not small by any stretch of the imagination, and especially not [as I would expect] by this woman's 1920's standards). "Oh, thanks, I'll check it out." After a couple minutes... Old Lady: "Yeah, you could definitely fit into the children's sizes. You don't have 'the shelf' as my friends call it. They always complain about dropping food onto that shelf when they eat. It's such a pain. Stains on all their blouses." Me: (Laughing hard). I found an amazing cream-colored vintage flapper dress for something like $15, and a couple cute baseball shirts (in that lady's kid's section no less) but didn't end up buying anything. I've been wanting to come here for some time... but I'm always in the area when they're closed. But today I made it in and was excited per their 50% off entire store sign. ..don't be fooled by the fake 50% off sale as all their items are 3-4 times their actual worth. They had a Sony PS2 for $65, when you can buy one on Offer Up for $15. Bad business practices, stay away. read more

They have days where the clothes and shoes are discounted. Last I checked it was Saturdays. Some days I have noticed other items are discounted and I got a great deal on some framed art pieces. I got a baby changing table and some other baby toys and also some old tapes and children's books. I think this place is great and goes to a good cause. When I donate, they also ask me if I would like a receipt for tax purposes. read more

I live not to far actually would drive write passed it,so on a rainy day decided to donate some items which was good.But going in I thought it was pricey..clothes not so much..it was time when I came to a small juice cup was more than a 1$ is ok,the greeting card was my surprise a whole 1$ did not buy it because yu could find one for 50 cents!!. brand new,not with creases. This is a thrift store that thinks it's Bloomingdales! Their prices are so outrageous it's laughable! For example, a empty candle jar $3! What? I just left another thrift store and got a really nice one for $.50! I've been here once before a while back and left scratching my head, this time, I laughed myself out of the store. Finally had a chance to try this place. Nice! Everything is neat and tidy. The items are good to great quality, not junky stuff. Nice glassware selection. There's even a small craft section, where I found some yarn for charity projects. I found the prices reasonable and today was a 50% off sale on plenty of items. I will definitely stop in again, and will also bring my "good" donation stuff here. It's certainly for a good cause. read more

I go in here often because I love thrifting. This place is my favorite in Oceanside. It's SO clean and organized such a good selection. I can find something every time I go in there. Prices are so good also. I'm expecting a little boy and the selection of baby clothes and prices are more then perfect for those on a budget or just love good deals. I also got a really nice glider chair here for $50. I frequent so often I got a punch card if you like it so much and plan on going back I'd ask for one! read more
