Since we are new to this, he was incredibly accommodating, made us feel comfortable, explained everything in simple "layman's terms," and gave great advice. After a day, we got our detailed report with great pictures. You're awesome! No wonder Quality Property Inspections has 5 Stars! Highly recommended!!!! #114

We had a very frustrating experience with Elite Group Home Inspectors…read more Their report flagged multiple major issues in our home -- including structural concerns and pest damage -- in an extremely alarming tone, which caused our buyer to cancel escrow. We brought in licensed professionals (structural engineer, pest company, Gas and HVAC technicians) to verify the findings. Those professionals determined that several of the concerns were either unsupported or significantly overstated. The structural items were within normal construction tolerances, and the pest-related repairs ended up being minor and far less costly than suggested. We attempted to contact the company multiple times to discuss these discrepancies, including providing documentation from licensed professionals, but were unable to reach a meaningful resolution. We later learned that other customers have raised similar concerns. Unfortunately, the damage was already done. The report created lasting doubt about the home and directly contributed to our escrow falling through, costing us significant time and money. Inspections are supposed to inform -- not alarm buyers with conclusions that aren't backed by specialist evaluation. Based on our experience, we would not recommend using this company.

Had the report accurately captured the scope of the problem, we could have negotiated a price reduction with the seller. When I reached out to the owner, Nick DeStefano, to address this massive oversight, he hid behind technicalities in his inspection agreement and boilerplate legal disclaimers rather than showing any accountability or care for a client's investment. A home inspection should protect buyers, not leave them with thousands in hidden surprises. I am actively filing a formal complaint regarding these ethical and professional standard failures with InterNACHI. Yes, you did mention (Window broken) in your report. However, the report does not say how many windows are affected. I am not sure if providing the number of affected windows is your responsibility or someone else's responsibility, but I wanted to clarify that.
