This should be a minus five star rating! Here is another "psychiatrist" who I saw for help. I explained how I was being diagnosed with an illness which doesn't make sense as evidenced by the criteria. I explained how I am apprehensive with my current treatment plan and I work very hard to keep my weight down. He wrote a new script for abilify. I asked if it causes weight gain. He said it didn't but I should let him worry about side effects. . I thought he must be joking and told him that. After filling it, I saw one of the first side effects listed as weight gain!!!!!!!!! $185 for this "consult and $15 for copay for a med I won't use. Why don't psychiatrists listen???? Now I will go to a top doc in Philadelphia and pay twice that amount and hope for the best. This psychiatrist is not suited in a professional which should value the patient's knowledge of his/her own body and health. Shame on him. But he got my $185. Hopefully he will use it to better his empathy. Unless you want to be controlled by someone with a 10 minute verbal history and 25 pages of paperwork which is not even glanced at, save your time and money. read more

Absolutely WORST Dr. I have ever been to. I've been to tons of different psychiatrists to find the right one, and he was by far the worst. He was dressed like a slob, was extremely unprofessional and made horribly inappropriate comments regarding my disorders. I left his office with FIVE different prescriptions, not know what any of them were or how they would effect me. The next day, I took all the medications (as recommended) and went to work. Within one hour I had to have my mother come pick me up because I couldn't even stand up straight and my words were slurred. He started me on too high of a dose of a benzo and didn't warn me of the side effects. He is a terrible person and "doctor" and should have his license removed. read more

I went to this doctor for help for my Anxiety and PTSD issues. I have been on Xanax for 14 years! The first PAYING visit after he got $200 he willingly agreed to treat me and gave me all my meds that I have been taking. One thing I must say, he barely lets you get one word in as to what you're going through. So, ok fine he didn't want to listen but I got my medicine. The following month when I went in for my appt all of a sudden he said he had decided he was not going to treat me any further. Not only do I now not have ANY MEDICATION, he didn't even give me my one last script that I am entitled too as a patient. Even after reading the discharge papers it clearly states that I had 30 days to find another Psyc doctor to treat me and he should have by law at the very least given me a months worth of medicine until I found a doctor. I am 38 days in and I have been off my medication and have had to visit the ER three times due to Benzo related seizures. At this point, I have contacted my attorney and I will make sure to it that this doctor is put out of practice! Not to mention he is the most laziest being I ever met as he has his wife and mother, whom by the way are very sweet ladies, run his practice! They are not even certified to write scripts. Good luck to anyone who wastes their money on this quack as he did not even remember what we had spoken about 3 days after my initial visit. He had to call me to find out! He conducted a mental status exam without asking me any questions about how I was feeling; was I depressed, anxious, was I sleeping and eating well. Just circled questions on his form without any feedback from me. He made inappropriate comments on my first visit and was dressed with stains on his clothes. He changed my medications at my request without even asking me why I wanted the changes. I am in the field so I knew why I wanted the changes but he still should have discussed this with me. Spent 5-7 minutes each visit and insisted on me coming back monthly when I was stable. I would not recommend this Dr. to anyone I cared about or my worst enemy. read more

I saw Dr. Woloshin for the first time yesterday. The whole office staff was very caring. Yes, it was a bit different from other psychiatrists I saw. However, in a good way. Wendy (i am hoping I am remembering her name right) and Dr.Woloshin were SO nice. I felt welcomed and not judged. Most psychiatrist offices I have been to, I felt uncomfortable and made to feel like I was a drug seeker. He explained why it was hard for him to write and I can't believe someone would judge him based on that. He suffers from a health condition. I am happy I found him as my new doctor. read more

Not related to this guy, don't work there either, but saw him a few weeks ago and the other reviewers are totally off. My experience goes like this: could've been a cleaner office and perhaps Doc's outfit could've been better, but truthfully I had a great experience. Doc actually listened to me and my issues and seemed to genuinely care even offering some personal anecdotes and advice! I'd been to a psychiatrist once before and that doc asked me a bunch of questions without looking at me, asked me why I was there and said, take this, you're depressed, bye. It was cold and callous and arrogant. I thought, seriously, is this the state of mental health practices? I told a friend about it and they said, well yeah, psychiatrists aren't there to listen/offer advice. Um, why not?!? I'm spilling my vulnerable shortcomings to you, a complete stranger and you can't seem empathetic?!? Then I tried talking to my Primary, omg, forget that! That's a joke. So I made this appointment. I genuinely feel better and feel like I mattered. Will go back for sure! read more

The office is dirty and unprofessional. Dr Woloshin is a slob with no manners, personality, or professionalism. When I was able to get an appt a couple days after I originally called, that was a tip-off. I should have went with my instinct and avoided this doctor. read more

Dr woloshin is a friendly, polite, caring psychiatrist. People need to do their own research as different medicines effect everyone differently. This doctor is the only one who actually worked with me in giving me the treatment i knew i needed, rather than treating me like a test dummy. He listened and gave excellent feedback. It is up to the patient to read the insert provided by the pharmacy and to monitor their own symptoms. This doctor always asked how i was feeling, eating, sleeping, and functioning. Anyone who says otherwise is lying. I was a patient with him for five years and every month he did exactly what psychiatrists are supposed to do. His job is to prescribe medication. If you want a therapist then go find a psychologist. But don't complain that your psychiatrist didn't take the time out of his busy schedule to analyze your life story. His job is to prescribe meds and thats it. He is completely responsible about the way he does his job and im shocked to see such negative feedback. And for those calling him a slob? Just wow. The man can dress how he wants first of all, but i never saw him wearing anything inappropriate or sloppy. He works 16 hours a day and has a family to take care of on top of everything else doctors these days have to go through as far as record keeping and assessments. Keep your nasty comments to yourself people. We all have our quirks. No need to bash him on yelp because you didn't like the stains on his shirt simply because he is forced to scarf down his lunch in a five minute period because he is busy trying to help people.
