Much like when we go to a mechanics shop, thinking we know all about cars, since we drive them all the time, but are shocked by the $1,500 "inspection" bill. Independents can be great, and honest as the day is long(I try hard to deal with no one else.), but, you may pay the price of their(Anyone's. Yours, for instance.) unrelated(Maybe disparate from your own...) oft and loudly stated opinions and attitudes on everything(Surely one reason they have their own business...). B. Do have a clue, but not as much as they think they do or they would do their own repairs and mods, and/or know the difficulties and just get on with it. C. You have to know that when the warranty runs out, you're on your own- period. If there is no written warranty, mostly things used, you're on your own when you leave the business. Weeks or months later? Get out your wallet. Remember: YOU may know you are honest(Or may actually be wrong? Amazing as it sounds.), but they have no idea. Meantime, I'm going to Fix My Computer, tomorrow, to see what they might have in the "pro" used line. If nothing there, I'll go to Free Geek Penn, in Ephrata(Where, once I get a couple newer ones, I'll take the old ones and all my saved-up no longer used electronics there for recycle. Visit and see why.) and check out their selection of used used, donated, checked-out or repaired machines and parts. You might find them friendlier(?). FGP does repair, too. Then after I left it with him I didn't hear from him for months. After I then stopped in and requested it back to take somewhere else when I stopped in to pick it up. The device was more broken then when I left it with him. A broken trigger and all of the screws missing from the back plate and the heat sink removed from the cpu. Now I can't take it elsewhere to get it fixed because he basically destroyed it. And then had the audacity to say well I'm not going you any money. I absolutely will tell everyone never to go hear for anything the guy is rude and disrespectful.

A Metaphysical Journey. I have purchased informative books from their extensive inventory (I am a librarian), I have bought beautifully carved crystals, embellished salt lamps and powerful jewelry. I enjoy buying from the selection of handmade Himalayan salt soaps. Mostly, though, I utilize the EXCEPTIONAL services offered to enhance my soul's journey. I attend the monthly Sound Healings where chakra bowls, drums and voices raise the roof! I have monthly private meetings with Pat, who channels Blessed Mother, Padre Pio, Saints and Angels (I promise!) I have a Catholic background, so that works for me. I also have private monthly meetings with Judy, who is an extremely intuitive medium, using the aide of Tarot Cards. She has over 20 years of experience to offer you, and is gifted with connecting you to loved ones that have crossed over. She specifically connects me with my guardian Angel. I have also had one meeting with Cathy. It was the greatest guided meditation that I have ever experienced. My first step was to have my aura photo taken with Sharon. She discussed it in detail with me. I was able to meditate in the rare Stargate, in between photos. I also had a reiki session with Sharon, that was quite memorable. As you can see, Gracefull Heart has a wide range of benefits to offer. I find the prices for products and services to be extremely fair! I can not complete this review without stating the most obvious; the owner, Sharon, and her exceptional staff are the REAL REASON that I have visited the shop every week for the past six months. They ALL go out of their way to assist me in every way possible. I am always fully attended to. I feel so welcome and comfortable there... it's like "coming home". I hope that you visit, soon!

The Olde Mill House Shoppes is two different buildings - the old stone house and an old barn - that have a wide selection of stuff that women love to shop like rugs, furniture, lighting, home decor, kitchen gadgets, pantry items, women's clothing and accessories. They also have a floral department that I think makes wreaths. My favorite part of the shoppes was the old stone house. Aside from admiring the lovely architecture I enjoyed looked at kitchen gadgets, kitchen decor, pantry items like bread mixes and such. I loved the creek of the floors too. It was a very charming experience. A lot of the furniture was definitely in the Shaker and colonial styles. The lighting section was amazing. Lots of early American inspired design lighting. I wasn't in the market for lighting so I moved on to other things. The rug section was fun to peruse. I saw they sold one of my favorite brands - Dash and Albert. They also had a lot of braided rugs. Regarding the clothing section in the refurbished barn, it wasn't really my style but it seemed like there were some regular customer in there having an absolute ball shopping for some new outfits. It kind of reminded me of the fun, comfy and colorful styles you might find at Chico's. Aside from the above, there was plenty more to look at like some linens, wall art, candles, etc. Overall, this was a fun place to explore and a great place to stop in while in Lancaster County.

While I felt some prices were a tad high ($12.95 for mall store jeans), others were low ($12.95 for never worn CK flats). While I only meandered around the front of the store I would say alot of the styles were more catered towards a sophisticated, mature professional woman. However I didn't venture beyond the first few racks. Overall I think they are very picky with what they accept and it shows. I would consider this consignment shop more upscale and selective than others and wouldn't mind coming back to shop for myself. They obviously take great pride in their business. Aside from clothing I saw accessories and jewelry and believe they offer additional departments as well. As a seller I would consider the process cumbersome with little reward. My transaction was for a straight buy out and pennies on the dollar was paid out with what I considered too much paperwork for the merger amount I received. Honestly for a buyout you would do better having a yard sale. Some of my items were purchased for .60 cents. I don't know anything about their consignment terms which is more common and what they prefer but it would be worth looking into if your stuff is immaculate. So while I won't return for a buyout, and probably won't return to shop for everyday wear, I would come shop for any special occasion or high fashion needs.

Maybe I was too preoccupied with the big box thrifts in the area; Community Aid, Salvation Army, and Goodwill to go out and explore those less known. Do yourself a favor - don't make my mistake! This little thrift store is full of treasures waiting to be discovered and supports a number of ministry projects. Easy to find off Route 72 and open till 8 pm most days this location in a residential neighborhood has its own lot. Inside you'll find displays that will rival any retail store window. The organization is thoughtfully arranged by color/size/garment and it's easy to find exactly what you're looking for. If you're a brand whore you won't be disappointed. I saw many Chico, Dress Barn, and even Michael Koors pieces, all in top notch condition. Several items still had tags attached. While their inventory isn't as plentiful as the big box thrift, it's ample. Quality and current trends were on point. Just like their Palmyra sister store the jewelry display is artfully arranged. Prices were fair. On average shirts ran from $3.99-$5.99, jeans and pants a bit higher. I scored a great pair of like new shoes for $3, Halloween items were just .25 cents apiece - regardless if it was a pair of funky glasses or a full blown costume. While there were only a few, it's worth checking out. Aside from ladies clothing which dominates the store you'll find a men's section, children's clothing, toys, housewares, a very small furniture dept. (with signs saying that area will be transformed into a Christmas area in the next few weeks), housewares, wicker, bric brack, books, + a small card & craft section. While I browsed soft music played overhead and the cashier was very eager to assist in any way she could to enhance your shopping experience. The two dressing rooms were clean, spacious, and had plenty of hooks. A 50% off coupon can be found in some of the weekly rural newspaper editions and they also offer different specials/sales events from time to time. They even accept returns on clothing only up to 14 days. Electronics are checked but you're encouraged to plug in and verify for yourself since they can't be returned. Donations are easy to unload at the dock and I overheard they welcome your donation of unwanted boxes and plastic bags. Now that I know they exist I'll be checking them out more often!
