Well, it's evident not everyone likes this airport spot, but let's be honest it's hard to love any airport eatery. Prices are always high (including here), and it's hard to find great quality dishes. We ordered two beers, one of which was a "real pint" as my husband would call it - which basically means it's a BIG pour. He was satisfied to say the least. I thought they had decent draft options, and ended up getting a Goose Island 312 which I love/don't often find. We split a turkey club sandwich and it was fine. Tons of greens, a good amount of turkey, but limited avocado. I liked the pepperoncini aioli though. An actual good meal in an airport? I never thought such a thing might exist. Let's not get sideways though.... It's still airport food. I had an hour to kill and had the munchies from all the legal cannabis I consumed, so I walked the whole ass place looking for something to eat. I went by this joint once and doubled back from the end of Terminal 2 because the rest of the choices looked like a hard no. You walk up on the right where the pizza guy is cooking, (in a real wood fired oven) and order your food. That alone adds a nice touch to the way this place feels. Just landed in Chicago we took advantage of our 2-hour layover to grab a light dinner. After looking around for a bit, we decided to try Wolfgang Puck Express. Chris ordered the Caesar Salad with Chicken and I ordered the Crunchy Thai Chicken Wrap. Service was quick and the staff were very helpful as they assisted us make our choices. Wow, this place is one of the slowest food stands I have encountered in an airport. This is definitely not Wolfgang Puck "Express". There was a line of about five or six people in front of me at the counter area, and we did not see any staff taking orders (1 star off). The staff was all working on something with their backs turned toward the counter. Finally, a cashier showed up and started "taking orders" for quick items like bottled drinks and collecting payment. However, she was extremely slow and would go off somewhere else for a few minutes without any explanation (1 star off). When it was my turn at the cashier's, I ordered an Asian Chicken Salad, but got scolded at for not placing the order at the counter earlier. I said there was no staff at the counter and they told me there were...apparently, I was supposed to place my order with the staff who had their backs turned (1 star off)! Anyway, once we sorted out the confusion, I realized that their Asian Chicken Salad does not actually come with chicken (1 star off)! In addition to the oil from the cheese, they added more oil on the pizza which made it very heavy. The mushroom had an overpowering flavor, and sadly there was no tomato sauce. I think they put white sauce, but I'm not the biggest fan of that. I will say that the Brie cheese was good on the pizza. I already really liked the crust. It was crispy and doughy. Perfect. The arugula was good, but there wasn't a distinct flavor from it. Overall, I would probably just get a regular pizza here, but if you are ordering the Mushroom Pizza tell them not to put the additional oil on it. read more

I think this is one of the better selections at a United States airport. It is on the pricier side, but the food is pretty good. My experience was pretty good as the staff was very attentive and the line moved quickly. I ordered the Mushroom Pizza ($13.49) and just a heads-up, the pizza is pre-made and they just pop it in the oven to heat it up. The best part of this dish was the slightly charred crust with a strong truffle oil flavor. I love their butternut squash soup. A couple years ago I came here and they gave me a slice of bread for free with my soup. Today I ordered the same soup and paid 60 cents for a slice of bread. They garnish the soups with toppings, which is a nice touch. Also the soup container they use doesn't easily spill and keeps the soup warm long enough for you to enjoy it on the plane. My main complaint is that pizza takes 15 minutes here (not very express) and the ordering/ queue system is a mess. A lot of people will order, pay, and then stand back in the ordering area which can get very crowded. Also people can easily cut you in line when trying to order. read more

I came here for a quick bite while I was waiting for my flight. All the customers are initially waiting in line at the entrance then see the small sign saying sandwiches and salads are ordered at the middle station. Some of us shift over to order at middle station and it takes a while to be addressed. Our line starts to mix in with the third like which is for payment and this creates more confusion. I order a hummus wrap once I sit down at my gate a few steps away I realize it's not even properly wrapped. It's tastes fine but the ends of the wrap that are supposed to be tucked in are wide open and all the contents are spilling everywhere. I waited long enough for the wrap to be done properly. The portions here were as expected for airport food, however the lack of presentation and quality are where I felt gipped (sp). The food was thrown in front of the glass while the eggs cooked and by the time I made it to the register, it was cold (despite my attempt to cover it with a napkin. The seating is very cramped, but I made room for myself and two strangers at the bar facing the people passing through the airport. Yep, it's that Wolfgang Puck and he has a restaurant in the second busiest airport in the US. Yes, you can order your breakfast from the bar. They'll bring it to you. And you an eat it here too. Because that's how I roll at absurd o'clock waiting for a flight. The sandwich was excellent. Egg, tomato and basil on a crunchy, chewy Ciabatta roll. With a pile of home fries on the side. I did ask the gal for ketchup, but I never even had to open a packet. The sandwich needed nothing. The fries needed nothing. Perfectly delicious. If I have time to eat lunch at O'Hare it will be a pizza at Wolfgang Puck. What can I say? I love this margarita style pizza cooked in a wood fired oven. Here you stand in one of the busiest airports in the world and you can get a wood fired pizza? Yeah! Even during busy hours the lines and service at Wolfgang Puck's moves fast. If you see an empty seat, ask to here "for here" so you can dine and watch the masses stress out on their way to their gates. You will be above that while enjoying and olde world pizza with maybe a beer, glass of wine or soda. Life is good. If there is not seating then get your pizza to go. Eat it on the plane or at your gate. Either way you will be the envy of everyone watching. There is a small bar in the back with a window view of the tarmac. It is rare but sometimes I get a seat here and watch a ballgame as the planes come and go. Save some room for Garrett's popcorn. That's by the escalator in Terminal B.
