I have to admit that the only thing I've gotten from Paradise donuts are the apple fritters. Their large apple fritter is so good. I imagine their smaller apple fritter is just as good, but who wants a smaller apple fritter, which is actually pretty large by itself, when you can get a super large apple fritter? I think you know the answer to that one. If you want a gigantic and delicious apple fritter, you must stop by Paradise.

1/3 cheeseburger with a big pile of krinkle-cut fries

I can't count the number of times I've driven by this place. There have been times when I thought it was no longer open since the building and signboard are showing their age so much. The reviews and apparent popularity prompted me to give it a try though. It seems to be a place frequented by regulars, and the owners are nice and friendly. Interior is looking a bit old as well, but it's kept clean and orderly. Pretty good burgers overall. The prices certainly are nothing to gripe about: the 1/3-lb. burger, fries and drink combo set me back a mere $5.75 with tax. They've got a signboard with the main menu items and prices up above the counter in the back, and the various combo options are posted on the wall to the right as you walk up. For those not up for a burger, they have chicken fingers and the like, plus tater tots and onion rings if krinkle-cut fries aren't down your alley. Then there are the donuts, fritters, bear claws, etc. I didn't get to those, myself, but they certainly look good! I'll have to stop by again and pick some up sometime. Perhaps I will amend/update the review once I do.

I wasn't overly impressed with the hamburgers but they were cheap. My son ordered the chicken and it was enough to feed four people.

    Howdy Burger

    Howdy Burger

Oklahoma seems to have a certain pride when it comes to burger joints that keep it simple. Tulsa…read morehas many chains, local restaurants and pop-ups that are familiar and filling. Encroaching on a seemingly crowded market can be tough but somehow Howdy feels like an already-established diner. While many newer burger places attempt to overwhelm the consumer, Howdy Burger's approach seems to be keeping things simple and delivering what the people want while staying true to the "burger joint" identity. I've had Howdy Burger 2 or 3 times through the years. My first visit was likely in/at Mother Road Market but a more recent visit was on October 29th (2025). In the midst of an economic stall (the federal government was shut down for 4 weeks at that point), eating out seemed like a luxury. I visited around 2pm for lunch. The weather was chilly and the staff was readily available. I was greeted and I browsed the menu for about 2mins before ordering. I ended up getting a single burger & rodeo fries. Afterwards, me & the lady cashier had a brief conversation about the state of the world as business was slower than usual. The restaurant isn't huge but it was well maintained. I sat near the West windows and the food came out shortly after. The highlight of the food was easily the burger itself. It was a decent size, the bread was soft, and the patty was just thick enough. Each bite was equally satisfying as they didn't hold back on the toppings. I will say that the fries are pretty standard, even with the extra toppings. I don't think the Rodeo Fries are worth wild but it didn't hurt to try. Lastly, I LOVE the variety of sauces they offer and the staff are happy to add them directly onto the sandwich or place them on the side. I've since returned to have the Fried Chicken Sandwich and it was just as good, if not better, than most famed chicken sandwich spots. I wasn't familiar with Howdy for a while and, as mentioned, there are many other places to get a cheeseburger, sandwich and/or fries. But what I like about Howdy is that they don't try too hard, they know what sells and they offer great service. Considering the price, consistency in their products and good people behind the counter, Howdy Burger is good enough to replace your favorite burger chain and/or fast food spot.

I think it is named after a local ranch so sorry if I butchered it. I asked what was on it... all I heard was grilled onions, jalapeños, and some sauce and I was all in!! The burger came on toast and is very similar to a patty melt if you like that style. Honestly it was a great burger. The wife and I shared some cheese and onion fries... I can't say enough about how delicious it was. My wife ended up getting the class burger which comes with cheese sauce to dip fries or your burger in....i wanted the cheese sauce on everything but I did my best to hold back. It takes a LOT of reading before you can figure out what you want. I understand wanting to highlight farms that the beef is sourced from, but it shouldn't be the most prominent thing in the menu. It's super confusing. Last, the truffle fries need reworked badly. I got fries with some truffle-esque condiment squeezed randomly on top. Fries needed to be tossed in the sauce while hot, so it was a soggy mess. 1/5, wouldn't recommend those.
