He didn't miss one single problem, either. In the years since I hired him, I've been living in the house, and not one bad thing has been detected. I was tremendously impressed by the way he was generous with his time. He answered all of my questions and gave me proper explanations for getting started in fixing things. As we had been living in the house (an old house in Bloomfield) for some time, he offered us a fresh perspective, which we valued immensely. He informed us of some issues that we were unaware of (such as an old electrical line coming into our meter from the street, loose roof shingles, etc.) that should be addressed. This provided us with a helpful starting point for setting up a schedule of necessary home improvements. Andy took his time to answer all of our first-time home buyer questions and impressed me with his knowledge of the construction, electrical, and plumbing trades. He walked our house during the Covid pandemic, and followed all proper safety procedures. We added on a pest check sub-contracted through Griffin that was fast and thorough (and luckily revealed no termites). We were able to schedule an appointment within a week, despite a crowded schedule, at a very reasonable rate, and received the inspection report within a few days. Andy was professional, friendly, and efficient. I would highly recommend him for your home inspection needs.
