    Blueberry pancake and sausage

Walked in around 11am. There was a wait but probably only around 30 min. We sat at the counter and the servers were super nice and great service. Filled my water cup multiple times. Pancake was soooo good. Only complaint is for the price of sausage ($3 or $4 dollars) I thought I would get more than one sausage. Would definitely go again!

Plain Pancakes and a TimberWolf with sausage on a croissant

Genuinely my favorite breakfast spot ever. The pancakes are one of a kind. The Timberwolf sandwich on a croissant is perfect and you can get a bunch of different protein options. Kathy and Joe are two of the nicest people I know, and Joe makes the best pancakes! The ambiance is perfect. Small with great and personable service. I recommend this place any time I get the chance!

Cute colored mugs (that are also available for sale). They even leave a small coffee carafe at your table so you can refill it yourself.

Love, love this place. At Wolf Pack they are definitely about Peace, Love and Pancakes. You come out to St. Germain for the peace that the Northwoods bring and they put a whole lot of love in their pancakes. Don't take my word for it, come try it for yourself. You won't regret it. The staff and owners are so sweet and make you feel welcomed, the food is NEVER disappointing. A great atmosphere too. So head over there soon!

A great place for breakfast. Small but cozy. The staff all worked as a team and were quick and very friendly. Something that is very hard to find when you go out anymore. The food was good and they had a large menu. They had the cutest coffee cups too! I was excited to find out that they sell them... now to choose from the many colors. I definitely recommend this cafe.

THE BEST We've been coming to wolf pack for decades. It can get super busy and they don't take reservations, so we always try to get there by 8am. The service is amazing. We've always had great interactions with everyone in there. The pancakes are huge and thin with butter-crisped edges. I've had banana, chocolate chip, and burst of berry. All of the egg combos are great. Their whole wheat toast is from a bakery in Eagle River and it's delicious. My dad loves the biscuits and gravy with scrambled egg on top. The full portion is enormous, so there's a half portion option as well. On the weekends they have a pan-fried perch that's really good blackened. I enjoy the bottomless coffee. The hot chocolate comes with a giant pile of whipped cream.

Eggs, toast, hash browns, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, and coffee! The coffee mug makes it! I had to buy one!

We love eating here when we vacation up north! There is usually a wait on the weekends as it is smaller on the inside. Their pancakes are amazing!

Stopped this morning and couldn't have been happier !!!! Cute little breakfast spot. The service was friendly and very efficient. The servers were all so friendly and helpful. No complaints whatsoever. The food was outstanding ! Pancakes- WOW!!! You have to try them. They are a mix between buttermilk and Swedish pancakes. Soooo delicious. Huge too. The rest of the food was delicious and huge portions. The fruit cup was so fresh and perfectly ripe as well. Great place ! You must stop! Side note- they are handling the COVID situation wonderfully

Wow! Go here now! These people hustle!!!! From the great menu to all the souvenir clay mugs you can buy, this place is it. Hubby got the Joes breakfast special which had their amazing sausage gravy on top. I'm still thinking about the gravy. Mmm. I had some very fluffy scrambled eggs with cheese, bacon and an English muffin on side. My husband shared his sausage gravy with me so I put it on my English muffin. They leave coffee carafes at your table so you can always have hot coffee in their cute clay mugs. We sat at the counter and got to talking to the owner who was super friendly! Definitely going back when in town! Next time we are gonna try lunch. I even bought myself one of their mugs. PEACE.LOVE & PANCAKES BABY!!! :P

Busy but efficient. Good coffee and they leave a carafe at the table. As promised, the pancakes are great. French toast was so so.

OK, pretty good menu, has some unique breakfast items, decent service. A little pricey for breakfast but extremely popular among tourists.

Reservations were at 6 and we were seated right away. Our waitress was promptly at our table and was excellent throughout. I wish I remembered her name. I ordered the Scallops Pernod which is an anise liqueur. It is made with coriander, star anise and mint so it does have an unusual taste but I've had it before but our waitress made sure I was aware of the flavor as she didn't want me to order something I wouldn't have liked. It was FANTASTIC! My mouth is watering think about it. There were plenty of good sized scallops with a Pernod and mushroom cream sauce over linguine. To die for! My friend had the walleye piccata and she said it was also fantastic. The restaurant itself is not terribly big so you could actually talk without yelling. It was decorated in the typical Northwoods style and was very comfortable. I would recommend Chef Rene's 100% although it is a little on the pricier side it is well worth it. Go there you won't be disappointed!

Some of the best steaks I've had were right here versus others within a 60 mile radius. This trip I had the lamb chops which were excellent. Also a double baked and we had escargot. No kidding, don't let the gas station vibes throw you, this place has great eats. We walked in through the gas station part of the building and were surprised to see the rustic decor of a medium sized dining area and an adjacent bar. It was a pretty full dining room and we sat ourselves. It didn't look promising as we saw one waitress and one bartender. However, after a brief wait, the waitress came to our table and assured us she would return as quickly as possible to get our drink and food orders. She returned as promised. Our drinks arrived a short time later. They were well made and attention was paid to get us another round as we finished the first. Our table had ribs, prime rib and a French dip sandwich. The portion size was great and the food arrived hot. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender and the sauce was tasty. The prime rib had great flavor, was prepared as ordered and had very little fat. The French dip was also tasty. Truth be told, a salad bar would make this a true five star rating. The salads served with the meal were nice but very run-of-the-mill. Will we go back in the future? You betcha!

We went for a decently early dinner and were able to make reservations as well which made it very convenient. We were seated promptly and our waitress was very kind. I also appreciate a place that knows how to make a good old fashioned and has a nice salad bar! That's the true north woods experience. White Tail remains absolutely beautiful and charming as it always has, this building is historic and there's truly nothing like the ambiance in there especially with the live piano. The Ahi Tuna small plate was delicious. I wouldn't consider it a "small plate" it was huge. There is no skimping on portions here, that's for sure. Two of us decided on the Perch Fish Fry, and the other opted for the Cod. I can speak on the Perch because that's what I had. It was seasoned perfectly, not too breaded, and it was HOT. My only minor complaint is that there were a lot of bones that I had to pick out/be careful not to eat. For my side I got the cheesy grits and I haven't stopped thinking about them since. They are by far in the top 5 most delicious things I've ever had in my entire life lol. I tried a piece of the cod, the fish is good but I'm personally not a fan of the batter breading, or the type of fries White Tail serves. Finished the night off with a Brandy Alexander but was kicking myself after I saw that the Banana Banshee is back on the menu. I came here a few years ago before the new ownership and asked for one and they didn't do that at the time, so I'll definitely be getting that the next time we come in.
