Best local breakfast spot! My family vacations in the area every summer and the Wolf Pack is one of our go-to spots for breakfast. The pancakes cover the whole plate and are delicious. My personal favorite is the Western omelet and hash browns, of course with a coffee in their signature mugs! You can buy the mugs as well which is a fun keepsake. Because it's a local favorite there can be a bit of a wait but it's well worth it, and they have benches and plastic chairs out front for people to use while they wait. read more

Found this place on Yelp and we were traveling. 5 stars !! It was a very small place but they were bustling at the seams and the staff were on top of everything. It was the best breakfast I have had in a long time. Steamed veggies for breakfast? Yum. Scrambled eggs were out of this world and I would love to know their secret recipe for them. THE BEST We've been coming to wolf pack for decades. It can get super busy and they don't take reservations, so we always try to get there by 8am. The service is amazing. We've always had great interactions with everyone in there. The pancakes are huge and thin with butter-crisped edges. I've had banana, chocolate chip, and burst of berry. All of the egg combos are great. Their whole wheat toast is from a bakery in Eagle River and it's delicious. My dad loves the biscuits and gravy with scrambled egg on top. The full portion is enormous, so there's a half portion option as well. On the weekends they have a pan-fried perch that's really good blackened. I enjoy the bottomless coffee. Wow! Go here now! These people hustle!!!! From the great menu to all the souvenir clay mugs you can buy, this place is it. Hubby got the Joes breakfast special which had their amazing sausage gravy on top. I'm still thinking about the gravy. Mmm. I had some very fluffy scrambled eggs with cheese, bacon and an English muffin on side. My husband shared his sausage gravy with me so I put it on my English muffin. They leave coffee carafes at your table so you can always have hot coffee in their cute clay mugs. We sat at the counter and got to talking to the owner who was super friendly! We've stopped at the Wolf Pack Cafe for years when vacationing in St Germain. Always had great breakfasts in the past. Today we had a disappointment in their food prep. I decided to try their mixed berry pancakes with real maple syrup. The two pancakes were undercooked in the center and were mushy and pasty. Raw pancake batter. My wife's omelet was also slightly undercooked. They offered to replace the pancakes and did reduce the pancake price to one pancake. I passed on the order replacement offer because I lost my desire to eat anything else from their current cook. Also not very apologetic about the undercooked food experience. read more

Excellent service and food. We learned about it from a local and we loved it. I had the Sunday special, shrimp creole over poached eggs. Holy crap was that good. The family shared a plate sized chocolate chip pancake. It was buttery and thin. It tasted different from most pancakes I've had before. We all liked it. My little one had the yogurt parfait and was nice enough to let me try some (sooooo good). The hubs had a vegetarian omelet and said it was much fresher than any other omelette he's every had. They are thin, as big as the plate and have a crispy edge that really sets them a part. That being said, they have fantastic food. The egg itself was perfectly prepared; not over cooked or brown (I know people can go either way in this but I really REALLY dislike browned omelettes. This little cafe packs a big punch. We were there on a Sunday, and the place was busy, but the wait was less than 30 minutes and definitely worth it. My 6 year old loved the chocolate waffles and my 8 year old daughter enjoyed her grilled cheese sandwich and devoured her onion rings. What we've never had a bad experience well maybe once we did have a long wait but that's because we had a large party. This is a very small Cafe with about 12 tables. I did go with everyone suggestion to have the pancakes and yes they were delicious I had the blueberry pancakes I went with two which was a little crazy since they are the size of a plate. The ladies that work there have always been there as long as we've been going they are very pleasant and efficient. This place this place is definitely a must do when you are in st-germain. My favorite St. Germain spot is closed Weds so we landed at our 2nd choice ... My water glass was very dirty when we sat down, so I should have known it wasn't my day. My husband liked his (very fresh) veggie omelet ... but my raspberry pancake was gooey with batter/not cooked through so had to go back, thus my husband had to keep going. My eggs got cold...etc. No particular apology she just wisked it off. I thought maybe it was to minimize to other diners that there is an issue. The eggs were well cooked but had been put onto a wet plate (I guess) so they sat in water. You can usually count on a special of the day but not the case. Side note: The waitresses were curiously loud and laughing amongst themselves and while not especially attentive when you're eating, shout out greetings to those who arrive and depart.
