We joined their community hike and the total experience was almost 3 hrs. There were about 45-50 people attending this event. This was an amazing experience to be in the presence of wolves, learn, and heal. We were provided snacks, water, and sunscreen at the start of the experience before touring one of the two dens they currently have. They care for 47 wolf dogs. We walked around the den to learn the back story of the wolves and how they came to this sanctuary. We interacted with 3 wolf dogs who came along on the hike. Some are more social than others (giving kisses vs keeping a distance) and they will let you know when they're done socializing. Their handlers were great in that they didn't force these animals to do anything they didn't want to do. The hike itself lasted about 30 min. They have a gift shop where you can buy merchandise they supports the sanctuary. The energy at the start of the event was buzzing with excitement and by the end it was very calm and peaceful. I spent 6 hours at Wolf Connection for the women and wolves event on 3/16/19. It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. You will get to see the wolves of various content levels up close and if you are blessed with a wolf kiss or touch by one it will truly make your day. I was fortunate enough to receive both of those gifts from Gemma, a female wolf. I have never experienced anything like this before. The wolf's are truly special. Amanda did a Wonderful job guiding us through the women's event. She really is a calming soul. I learned so many things about the way of the wolf. I really hope you all have a chance to get out there and check them out. The compound is well kept and clean as for the staff they were all so welcoming and warm. I really do not want to take away from anyone's future experience but do keep in mind to arrive 15 minutes before to check in. I have yet to visit the sanctuary, however as an animal activist I am a huge fan! I look forward to visiting and also donating. It makes me sick to my stomach that these poor babies are being trapped in various States and countries. They are so loyal and absolutely beautiful. I cannot say enough good things about this place. I purchased the Run with Pack experience on AirBnb and the directions and instructions for the experience were excellent. The property is stunning and everyone who works there is friendly, knowledgeable, and they take amazing care of the wolves. You can tell they really care about the animals and I love that they honor the animals and do not force them to do anything they don't want to. Prior the experience, I wasn't aware of all the youth programs they host and all of the children and teens they help. Made me love this place even more. And lastly, the wolves. Well they're simply magical. It's a pretty spectacular thing when you're able to make a connection with them and be in their presence. I highly recommend coming here and experiencing this. read more

This was an experience of a lifetime. Went on 11-12-23. From the start, we were greeted and treated wonderfully. The chance to walk amongst the enclosures, hear the back stories to the various wolf dogs was informative, moving and very inspiring. The guides (Chris, Harvey and Lindsey) were awesome. Chris clearly is the alpha in a gentle, informed way. Our nature Hike was quite invigorating (short mile or so along a trail) with our wolf dog leaders. And when the pack started to howl together...chills through to my very soul. Very cool experience. Will definitely go again for another event...perhaps Howloween? read more

What a unique experience! I went for a walk with wolves air bnb experience which includes a tour of the facilities and introduction to the wolves (hearing their stories), time with the wolves in their enclosures, and a hike with about 5 of the wolves. In both the second and third activities you are able to interact directly with the wolves. These are beautiful animals and it is fascinating to learn their personalities, roles in their pack, and how they connect with humans. The staff is extremely knowledgeable regarding animal therapy and animal behavioral sciences. You are definitely dealing with experts. The service is also top notch. I went on the semi-private hike with my family for a father's day celebration and it was a truly spiritual experience. We met Wolfee and several other wolves as well as we learned their stories and how they provide therapy for several beings in need. Each of my family members and I bonded with different wolves as we learned how at risk Wolves and Wolf-Dogs are in the US because of stigma. I really loved the facility and the people who work there. I went on a Women and Wolves day retreat a few months ago when it was only 150 dollars!! Great deal! The best part was the hike which was beautiful. Just a fair warning: It is really a new agey type of retreat and wasn't particularly comfortable for me because I really just wanted to meet the wolves but if it is your thing than that is awesome. I loved being there and since I moved to Palmdale a year ago this is one of the benefits of living in the AV. The wolves are well cared for and the people who work there really care about them. Wolf Connection, the founder, the staff and their volunteers are a truly remarkable organization. Renee, our guide for the day, has a phenomenal appreciation for these animal, is a great docent with a story for each member of the pack and maintains a keen eye on the goings on of the day. Visiting is a must for anyone who's had even a passing interest in wolves, not to mention the connection man has with these animals. During the visit, we got to visit each wolfdog at their pen and hear their story, enter several pens and sit with the dogs and then go on a walk with several members of the pack. Nearly all these wolfdogs have had very troubling lives from extreme neglect to abuse. The Wolf Connection is healing them so that they in turn can heal us. The Wolf Connection runs a number of programs with children, youth at risk, former gang members and others with social issues. This is a truly noteworthy organization. I was touched by wolves! I am grateful for inspiring organizations like this to allow these animals live better lives. I purchased the AirBnB experience and it was worth every penny. Went there for my boyfriend's birthday and I have to say, this is the most unique experience of our lives. Not only is it beautiful to see all the animals being treated and kept so well, but it is indeed a sanctuary for the wolves and people nonetheless. I participated in one of the Wolf Connection's community hikes this past weekend and was just blown away by the experience! They teach you about how their wolves communicate (some speak "wolf" and some speak "dog") and how best to safely interact with them while on the hike. You learn about each wolf's journey and temperament and you hear how this organization uses lessons that the wolves can teach to reach out to at-risk youth and others going through difficult situations. I found the psychology of the wolves particularly interesting, as well as their beauty. They really are magnificent creatures. It's hard to explain the immense effect the wolves (and people) have on you until you experience it for yourself. Since my first community hike (where you get to take the wolves on a 'medicine walk' with you!) I've brought several of my friends and family members to visit the Wolf Connection. The experience was so impactful on me that I keep going back for more.
