Itsu is a Japanese and sushi type takeaway fast food establishment. Seems big here in the UK and I really don't get why the US, especially spots like LA don't have more spots like this. It's so easy for on the go work and travel meals without feeling like you have to settle for greasy fast food. Prices were actually pretty reasonable and service was super fast. Ordered on a large screen my meal, paid by card, and it printed out my order number/receipt. Waited near the main desk as a gal was pulling together the orders. They did have sit down seating but post common was people taking the food away. As I waited I was impressed by their little stand that had different options of paper bags, utensils, and sauces. Once my number was caller my food was packaged on the counter, put it in my Togo bag and headed on my way. Ordered salmon sushi (six pieces) and double chicken teriyaki bowl with an easy soft boiled egg with a fancy water, all for $20. I was really impressed because I'm easily spending about $10-$15 on gross greasy fast food in the states so getting sushi and a nice rice bowl for $5 was well worth it! Also the additional sauces and condiments were cheap so worth it too. The sushi slices are really thin but honestly tasted pretty fresh for fast food Togo sushi. Good flavor from the wasabi. The teriyaki chicken rice bowl was super filling and impressed with the perfection of the egg. Loved my lychee peach water, light flavor and refreshing. All in all the taste was about a 3.5 but that's pretty good for Asian takeaway (white wash food), saying this with no offense intended! It's not authentic is what I mean but definitely good and filling. Super happy to have stumbled upon this spot and worth a quick meal on the go while traveling and wanting an easy introverted style meal.

Me and my mother came here after a day around Bristol; this quaint and modern little Japanese…read morerestaurant is quite tucked away if you don't know what you are looking for. Upon arrival we were greeted by the bar staff and a waiter took us to our table. The view was really nice as it overlooked the busy street of Bristol. We ordered 2 half pints of Asahi dry beer as they were out of Kirin; the waiter was the only one on the floor and it seemed understaffed but he was very nice and didn't seem too stressed. I ordered the Salmon Bento Box with the chicken Gyoza and tuna Sashimi and my mum ordered the traditional Ramen. The food was quick to come out and it was elegantly placed, the miso soup was part of my Bento Box and was traditional and tasted exceptional. it's important for the rice to be perfect as much as the protein and every element was prepared with care and tasted really good; the salmon hand roll however included the salmon being a bit squished which diminished it's structural integrity but with it being freshly prepared, it was a factor I could overlook. My mum's ramen was spiced well so that it was not overpowering and they even included chilli paste on the side in case she wanted it hotter but there was no need. Ultimately, this place was a lovely surprise and I would definitely return!

HK Diner, which translates to Hong Kong Diner, is a pretty good restaurant. However, I would say…read morethat they were mainly a Malaysian restaurant (the owners are from Malaysia, and there are so many Malaysian dishes on the menu), and they should really capitalise on that fact and not just blend in the chinese food scene where they are mostly from Hong Kong. I suppose it is what people are used to, and maybe they thought by saying they were a dedicated Malaysian restaurant, they wouldn't get the people in who were looking for chinese food. Who knows. They have lots of lovely food here, that you wouldn't find in a typical chinese restaurant (because it is Malaysian food), like Nasi Lemak, Curry Mee and desserts like Bubur Cha Cha and Red Bean soup. If you aren't already familiar with Malaysian cuisine, those names won't mean much to you, but if you are, you will know they are fantastically tasty - and this place makes it well. They also serve bubble tea here (a hot or cold tea with tapioca pearls), which is the only place in Bristol that I know of that does it. I would highly recommend this place for those of you that haven't tried it out yet and are bored of typical chinese restaurant food. A real treat, two thumbs up.

Not only are their portions more generous, but their food tastes more authentic too. As well as the vegetable dishes (which are mouth-wateringly chunky covered in soy sauce), the noodles are the best thing on the menu. It's not the best place to take a date, but is the ideal meeting point for friends and family. The service is warm and welcoming, and a night in HK Diner is not a wasted one.
