I go to Wokcano for the Chicken Chow Mein it is really good. This one in Valencia is definitely the spot. I usually sit at the bar have few drinks and they also have a good happy hour but the food is all really good. Service is always good and quick. But definitely gotta try the chicken chow mein definitely my favorite. read more

Much more low key than I was expecting and I felt the place was a bit messy. Everything was 'fine' but there are better places to go.

Excellent food and the service is the best what a great place to eat the sushi was so fresh and delicious can't wait to go back

By no means authentic or traditional. This is more of an Asian-fusion restaurant. Very generous portions on their rice and noodles dishes. I got the crab fried rice and it was good - 6.5/10. Service here is always great and the ambiance is nice. read more

My family and I loved the food. The only thing we didn't like was the sodas; they tasted a little strange. But we loved the food so much it's worth the 5 stars. We ordered fried rice, broccoli and beef, orange chicken, double kung pao, and a tempura roll. The service was very good, and the restaurant was very clean and nice. A family of five, we all ate well and had leftover food to take home. read more

First time here. Mostly great food with the exception of the Miso Soup which wasn't hot. Other than that, the service was good and the restaurant looks ok inside. But I have to comment on the outside. We were sitting by the windows and they were very dirty and stained and the outside of the restaurant looks like its not in business. We actually had to look inside the front door to see if it was open. Out front, there was dirt everywhere, broken and missing bricks, faded wood and even the sign on the side of the patio didn't work. This place needs a top to bottom remodel. read more

Food is great including portions. Everything we ordered including the Mangoraichi was really good. However, I am very sensitive to hot and spicy so I have to watch what I order. I ordered for Party All Night baked sushi. Since it does not have an asterisk which means it does not fall on the category of "hot and spicy". It turned out that it has spicy mayo in it, which means it's gonna be spicy for me. We informed our server but she said it does say in the menu. It definitely DID NOT say that on the menu but she made me feel like I should've known when I ordered it. Bessies that, food and ambiance is great! Service --- so,so. Restroom is dirty. read more

Came here with my friend because I was craving sushi and they were open until 2am. Love the sushi and calamari they have. Ambiance is beautiful and service was good. They brought the food out decently fast which was perfect because we were hungry. Staff was attentive even at 1am and I would definitely comeback again. read more

Do not go here even if it is late and almost nothing else is open. I used the website to put in an online order and it said it was going to take 30-35 minutes. I got there after 40-45 minutes and went to the counter and they said someone else had picked up my order. I was told that somehow someone had a receipt of my exact order somehow and picked it up already. I then spent the next 10 minutes trying to get the order, which I was told would have a rush put on it and it'd be done within 10 minutes. I then proceeded to wait another 25 minutes for said order. I ended up walking out for an order that was supposed to be ready at 11:15 at 11:55. The sushi tasted below average at best and the lobster roll messed up my stomach completely. I ended up spending the entire next day of my vacation throwing up horrendously. I repeat do not go to this place unless you want diabolical diarrhea and puking. read more

Service was not that great the hostess was just treating us like whatever and barely acknowledged us if I'm spending my cash here I expect behavior to be welcoming with hospitality.and the server had an attuitde with not even an ounce of happiness to greet us these workers look so lazy and tired its disrespectful i work in the food industry and id do better then all of them. read more

I've been here a few times over the years and it's always good enough. Last night my husband and I got our go to, garlic noodles with chicken, and I noticed that they've changed the chicken. Before they would give you a grilled chicken breast. Now it's just lumps of soft chicken thighs. It was not an upgrade and an obvious attempt to save money. I'll try it again to see if it's just a fluke, but if not, I won't be adding the chicken to my garlic noodles again. read more

Food is consistent, service depends on server but overall good service. My boys love the place.

Great dining ambiance with sub par food. Food: originally chose to eat here because of their great bogo food deals however I was saddened when I realized the price did not match the quality nor quantity. Today I ordered the California roll, red dragon roll & the black pepper beef mignon dinner. The California roll was good but not special, considering they charge $14 for one California roll I expected a little bit more of a wow factor or at least a bigger portion. The red dragon roll was extremely underwhelming & something I'd personally never order again. The quality was completely lacking & reminded me of grocery store sushi. The black pepper beef mignon was pretty good however I find it disappointing that it doesn't come with rice or any side for that matter considering how much this dish cost. Overall, food does not match the price. Service is friendly & food comes out in a timely manner. Overall, I probably won't be returning as I don't feel I received what I paid for. read more

This 5 is really a 4.5 for only one reason, more on which is below. We were a big group and were looking for somewhere easy and different to grab a late lunch in Valencia. My previous visits to Wokcano after they first opened at the Valencia Town Center were very positive, so I suggested we just stop in and get a table. They don't take reservations and we were there at an off time so the enormous restaurant was mostly open and allowed us to sit wherever we wanted to. There are three or four very large and airy rooms and the atmosphere is dark, sort of glowy, a bit mysterious, and sophisticated (see the photos). The menu is extensive and largely composed of Chinese dishes, a few Sushi offerings and one Thai. That is my only disappointment. In the past there was a more properly Asian Fusion selection with a broader range of countries to sample (such as Vietnam and Korea, for example). Still, because we have few decent Chinese restaurants in Santa Clarita, I anticipated a very satisfactory meal, and it was. What I wasn't prepared for was the size of the dishes -- generous, to say the least. We had boxes and boxes of food to take home. Our super friendly and professional server, John, was always available and on his own brought containers and a sturdy shopping bag to take away the leftovers. The food was just right: hot enough, varied, fresh, delicious, and well seasoned so each item had its own unique character, lending just the right amount of variety to the meal. We were all vegetarians, vegans, and pescatarians so everything was either vegetable, tofu, or fish. I will label each dish in my photos. The place had just the right acoustics. It was filling up by the time we were halfway through our meal, which was no surprise as Wokcano has survived in this location since The Patios were added to the Town Center in 2008. It appears to be thriving. Finally, the prices are very reasonable for the quality and amount of food we got. I was pleasantly surprised by all of it. So, in sum, great service, cool atmosphere, clean, delicious food, and a sizeable and varied menu. If they could add a few more Szechuan and even Hunan dishes that would be ideal. And, maybe, a few more Asian countries could be represented on a rotating basis as "specials" to truly fulfill the fusion concept. We will be back! read more

Sat at my table for almost 30 minutes without my order being taken. Multiple people walked by and asked and nothing. Horrible service. I walked out and left. Not to mention it took for ever to be acknowledged when I walked in. read more

My favorite Wokano location been here sooooo many times since it opened. Topanga and especially Burbank don't even come close to the food quality here. Also the interior/exterior and overall ambiance is the better as well. I came here to eat alone a few weeks ago and felt welcomed and relaxed. Their house salad and Orange crispy chicken is the best! Side Note: It is a bit expensive, I've been coming here from the beginning so I've seen the steep price hikes but I'll still be visiting every now and then! read more

The service on the phone and at the front counter (Entrance) was warm and friendly. The Young Chow Fried Rice was ok but not as good as the restaurant in Burbank California. The Mongolian Beef was nice. Unfortunately, i didn't look at my order before leaving the restaurant. The salad was not fresh or green. It was brown and looked old. For the price I paid for my dishes, I expected better looking food. Because of the disappointment with the salad, I rate this location a mid three with some improvement needed. We made a reservation for 9:00 PM on Father's Day, anticipating a busy evening. We arrived a little before our reservation time, expecting a smooth experience since we had booked ahead. Upon arrival, we were asked to wait by the receptionist. What was confusing was that there were plenty of vacant tables visible, and we noticed other guests--some without reservations--being seated ahead of us. After waiting about 30 minutes with no update, we approached a different receptionist (the one we originally spoke to was no longer there), and we were seated immediately. It left us wondering what the purpose of the reservation was, as the delay didn't seem necessary. Once seated, however, things turned around. Our server, Kiki, was absolutely wonderful--very pleasant, attentive, and accommodating. Her great service really helped make up for the earlier confusion. As for the food: we ordered the Singaporean noodles, Young Chow fried rice, and the truffle roll--all of which were delicious. The truffle roll in particular stood out. Overall, while the initial experience with the reservation and wait time was disappointing and confusing, the quality of the food and Kiki's excellent service helped turn the evening around. I hope management can look into improving the front-of-house communication and reservation system to ensure a smoother experience in the future. read more

I had dinner with my son last here and the service was awful. I had to ask an employee for our waitress and she still took forever....The fried calamari was cold and chewy. The main entree was ok. Arizona Gas Station Sushi location of a chain "Safe, Generic SCV Sushi"... until it tried to kill us I genuinely thought this place was going to be the definition of safe, cookie-cutter, "nothing special but fine" sushi. I used to come here all the time.I loved it! I was wrong. We paid the price. In every way imaginable. The Roll That Started the Apocalypse My daughter (7) had a Philadelphia roll last night. You know the sushi equivalent of ordering toast. It's basic. It's supposed to be foolproof. She kept saying she wasn't into it and I did the classic parent move: "She's just being picky." She's not picky. She's perceptive. When she was almost done, I tried it and it was BAD. Not "meh" bad. Not "kinda warm" bad. Spoiled bad. Like "this fish is auditioning for a true crime documentary" bad. I tried to talk to the manager because, minor detail, this isn't safe to serve to human beings. He removed the Philadelphia roll from my bill and hit me with: "Have a great night." Sir... I'm not here for a coupon. I'm here because you're serving people spoiled salmon. He brushed it off. On my way out, an employee asked if everything was okay. I said: "No -- I think I just ate bad salmon. This is definitely less than I expected." And he goes: "People say that sometimes, and then they cycle the food out and it gets better." EXCUSE ME? So this is... a known issue? Like a seasonal menu item? Back at Home: The Sequel Nobody Wanted My 7-year-old is puking her guts out I've already vomited once from just tasting it I called the location. They took my name and number... and I haven't heard anything back. Then they tell me: They tasted it "Some people have issues" The manager thought it was "just fine." So either: 1. the manager is used to substandard sushi, he has an iron stomach, or his taste buds have already filed for divorce. The Sticky Sushi Bar of Doom Also, if you sit at the sushi bar, you'll be seated at a slab of sticky wood that apparently should've been varnished about five years ago.(Manager's words, not mine.) It's sticky no matter how much you clean it, according to the explanation I got. So you're not just eating questionable sushi -- you're doing it on a table that feels like it's been lightly coated in soda and regret since 2019. Takeout? Only If You Like Waiting as a Lifestyle Four guys behind a sushi bar, watching soccer and hanging out, while the place is a ghost town, is not a reason for a 15m wait. It's overpriced and underdelivered, and the service has been consistently rough: You'd think slicing a tuna roll to-go would not require a committee meeting and a halftime show Another time, a host sat me... and I waited 15 minutes with no server ever coming by, so I just left. To be fair: the place looks nice inside (because it's a chain). It used to feel like safe, generic SCV sushi. Not anymore. Not for me. Final Ratings Manager: dismissive Servers: puts the "wait" in waiters Hosts: sweet, easygoing, and seemingly unaware they work in a sweatshop cafeteria, disguised as a restaurant Bottom Line If you're into: spoiled salmon roulette, sticky sushi bars, and service that moves at the speed of continental drift ...then hey, maybe this is your spot. For my family? For friends? We're good. For my Enemies: You guys gotta check this place out! It's just as awesome as it has always been! read more

Wokcano is a great restaurant that offers a variety of Chinese food dishes; one of my favorite is the Mongolian Beef!!!! The beef is seasoned well and to cooked perfection. Came here for my birthday with my family, they do not offer any birthday song or anything like that fyi. Service was great, our server was busy but attentive with a positive attitude. The calamari is delicious here always, I love the amount of scallions and jalapeños added for that extra bite! The sweet and sour soup was OK, kind of bitter which surprised me, we did not enjoy it. The salad with wontons and ginger dressing was fresh and delicious, highly recommended! We also had the garlic wings which were good but did not have a hint of garlic at all and the tempura roll which was warm and didn't taste very fresh. I asked for my garlic noodles to have chicken thigh meat which they've done in the past but server said they didn't do that. I just didn't want dry chicken breast meat but it wasn't dry thankfully. Only thing is I wish the noodles were a bit more wet, they dry up pretty quickly but I added chili oil and some soy sauce and they were delicious. Will come back! read more

Talk about a double whammy of a restaurant. Chinese food AND sushi? Count me in! I dined here with coworkers last week to welcome a new hire on our team, and we were stoked to try it out. Although we were on a slight time crunch due to several meetings after lunch hour, our food came out just in time and it tasted great. I specifically ordered their Maki Combination Lunch, which consists of two sets of rolls of your choice. The restaurant is located in a busy shopping plaza, surrounded by a Macy's and other restaurants/eateries nearby. Lunch hour on a weekday shouldn't be too bad though, compared to weekends. read more

10/10 sushi and food. I always like to order the lunch special and I get the classic crunchy roll or California roll. I didn't appreciate that when I went, it wasn't packed or anything at night on a weekday & the service wasn't on point. I've had 1 experience where the service was on point but typically I feel they pass by the tables without checking in more often. I had also asked for more water and they forgot to get me water until I asked again. This place has absolutely downright awful service! If I get my food before I even get my drink I'm just gonna walk out. Especially if when i do finally get my drink, the drink is wrong. I don't wanna eat my food without having a drink. Now the food is gonna be cold from sitting there! This was my second time ever coming here and I should've known better. Last time I came I never even got my food, we waited 45 min before we followed up with the waitress about our order. Her response was "oh you still want your food?" Is that a joke? Why else would we be here? It seems at this place you can't have your drink and your food. It seems to only be one or the other! read more

I went to dinner here a couple nights ago. I have dined here for years, but this wasn't the best experience. I called ahead and spoke to the manager about having a gluten allergy and asking what my options are (very limited) they don't cater to the gluten free community. They told me the sashimi and the fried rice, pad Thai, and a chicken and mushroom dish can all be made gluten free. Upon arrival I notified my server, she seemed to understand what a gluten allergy is.. I explained I can't have soy sauce. I ordered the chicken fried rice (gluten free) as a meal with soup, and salad. I also had the minced chicken lettuce wraps (gluten free) The chicken lettuce wraps didn't have a lot of flavor compared to other places I've been. The soup came out and was great, the salad had wonton chips on top. That's not gluten free - I scarped them off. The fried rice came out without chicken. I asked for chicken, and another server brought some by. I asked if it was gluten free and he responded "no" He took it back to the kitchen and 20 minutes later brought what he said was gluten free chicken. By then I'd finished everything else and my rice was cold. My friend ordered 2 California rolls and she ate a few and said they were "just ok"' My other friend ordered the pad Thai and it came out a massive portion, she took the rest home. My other friend ordered the chicken teriyaki with green beans and a side of rice- he was happy with the dish. The ambiance is dark and moody, good for a date or the bar has happy hour. I wouldn't bring families or a large group with kids- not the best atmosphere for them. Over all I probably won't be back, because I'm extremely limited on what I can order there. I ordered a hot green tea, and my friends and I asked for water refills but didn't receive them. My friend enjoyed a glass of Pinot noir. The prices are expensive for what you're served and the quality. Please train your servers on what gluten free means (wheat, breading, soy sauce) There's a disconnect from the kitchen with the wait staff. This was disappointing because I've been coming for years and really enjoyed other noodle, chicken and beef dishes. I hope they learn to swap soy for tamari sauce and accommodate a larger clientele. read more
