Great little Asian restaurant located in the 7 Points area of Florence. As is typical this used to be a fast food restaurant of some type years ago. If you're looking for a place with Asian decor, this is not it. If you're looking for good food and affordable sushi rolls, this is the place. Every thing I've tried from the sushi to the combo plates has been good. Service is fast and orders have always been correct. The folks that run the restaurant are always very friendly. I am updating my review after finding out how nasty this place is when handling food. My boyfriend used to do plumping and he said he and the guy he worked with did some plumbing for this place. My boyfriend said the back area/kitchen of this place is nasty and he said the guy he worked with witness a cook drop a piece of meat on the floor, pick it up, and put it back in with the rest of the meat he was preparing. YUK! After finding that out I will NEVER again eat at this place. All I'll say is eat here at your own risk. read more

This place has awesome food. My favorite dish is the General's Chicken with Lo Mein. I've got to get their Hot & Sour soup too because it's the best I've ever had anywhere else. You can make a meal out of just the soup (which comes with crispy noodles) and it's only like $1.50 The awesome thing about this place is that is has a drive through. This is a neat place in a shanty location that is always living in the ever-lengthening shadow of Rice Box. My original plan for the night was to get some sushi from Rice Box. However, all plans were altered when the wait was 40 minutes! So, I decided to get my fix from this small spot down the road. It has a decent Asian atmosphere, but the stain Hardees left will never truly disappear. But I don't want to bash this place because it came through when the crave of raw fish struck, and the popular place in town is too small to accommodate its frenzied following. So, when I pulled into the three car populated parking lot at Wok N Roll I was pleased. I ordered the Boston Roll ($4.99) and Sesame Chicken ($5.25). The Boston Roll contained lettuce, crab meat, shrimp, avocado, cucumber, and asparagus. It was tasty, but not the best I've had. The Sesame Chicken was a mound of food accompanied by a steaming heap of fried rice. It had a great sweet flavor and was the better of my two dishes, but only slightly better than that of a Chinese spot in the mall; though, the pieces of chicken are somewhat larger than I have had at other places, and that is a major plus. More Meat! Right? I only gave three stars because my sushi roll was tardy in arriving, well after the Sesame Chicken plate arrived; and when it did arrive, it was very poorly made, and four of my six pieces completely fell apart when I tried to eat them, leaving me to shuffle through the different items to try and get the actual desired taste. The tables were also a bit "sticky," which is not a big deal, but it is nice to sit at a clean table when out to dinner. I do, however, recommend the place. It needs the business, being the forgotten toy when Buzz Lightyear (Rice Box) appeared on Andy's bed. It's always good to support small spots as this. They also have free Wi-Fi (look for the password on your receipt). So, swing over to Seven Points and give Wok N Roll a try (their name alone is cool enough to make me stop in). read more

I've eaten here for about four years. I've never had a bad experience until today. Maybe I'm being too harsh for giving Wok 'n' Roll only 2 stars after all this time, but the service today was just terrible. Let me start from the beginning. It's that sushi crave you all get; it hits me about 4 o'clock after visiting the Habitat ReStore, and I'm like, "Wok 'n' Roll is just around the corner; I'll go have some fresh sushi there." Upon ordering my Garzilla roll, after having my card snatched from me by the snappy register girl, I listen as a young girl comes up to the sushi bar and asks, "What's on a Garzilla roll? How do I make it?" She proceeds to take some rice to microwave to heat it up, brings it back complaining because she heated it too much, and spends the next fifteen minutes trying to make this roll. The snappy girl brings me my food, and after I say, "Thank you" in a kind tone (I understand the wait and being short-staffed), she throws my chopsticks down on the table and storms off. For a history of good food and decent sushi today, I give Wok 'n' Roll 2 Stars; the terrible service, though, makes Wok 'n' Roll irredeemable. Next time, and until a better place comes in, I'm going to Rice Box instead. It's always busy there for a reason. read more

Tried this during the holidays when I was passing through Florence. After hearing raves about it for years, I thought it would be a great chance to try it out. Unfortunately, it wasn't great at all. We tried the General's chicken and the sesame chicken (both with lo mein), and neither were good. There was no crunch to the chicken and the flavor was just average. The lo mein wasn't bad, but it wasn't enough to carry the meal either. Maybe it was years of hype that Wok N Roll just didn't live up to, or maybe I just caught them on an off night, but the experience wasn't enough to draw me back. read more

I ordered chicken garlic and it was terrible. It tasted like it had confectioners sugar in it and did NOT taste like the Chinese Garlic Sauce the I've had from multiple other Asian places. I am really tired of being disappointed with food in Florence being half-assed. I've been a consistent customer of Wok N' Roll since it opened and have never had a bad meal or bad service. Every dish I've tried has been well-cooked, extremely tasty, and cooked/served in a timely manner. For example, they have simply THE BEST beef lo mein anywhere. They also have THE BEST teriyaki chicken sticks anywhere. Again, I've never had a bad meal here. Plus, the atmosphere here is a little less hectic and more "laid back" than their competition just up the street, perfect for when you want great Asian food but in a quieter environment. Their foods are sucks, especially they put something like gourmet powder or some unknown sauce to make you disgusting on the food. For a fast food Chinese restaurant, this isn't bad at all and the food is actually better than some of the sit down restaurants in town. The drive-thru is great but you often have to wait a while to get your order. It is best to order by phone and pick it up at the window but still you might get stuck by others waiting in line. Wok-N-Roll is really a good place to eat in town. It has just been remodelled inside, and it looks really awesome! They added booth seats, and everything is new and comfortable. The setting gives an upscale restaurants' atmosphere, but you only pay for a fast-food price. It is so wonderful that they also serve sushi now. I ordered a rainbow roll last time. It was absolutely fresh and yummy (thinking about it makes my mouth water now +_+), and I think their food is actually better than some sit down restaurants. I always love their Chinese food, and now I am also craving for their Sushi. Can't wait to go there again, but General's Ck or Rainbow Roll? haha, will decide later:) read more

I have always loved the food at Wok N Roll. Most of the time, I will use the drive through for convenience. I ordered my food and only had to wait a short time. There was another vehicle ahead of me. When the girl working the drive through window handed me my food, something told me to check my bag as I have had things left off of my orders before. When I checked my bag, I discovered that an entree had been left out so I pulled around and parked. I walked in with my bag and receipt and told them that they had left off some of my order. When the lady asked the girl running the drive through about it, she said "I put it in there." She then asked her if she had mistakenly given it to the car in front of me and again she said " I put it in the bag." I am not the kind of person who would lie as to whether or not I received my full order just to get something free out of the deal. The lady then proceeded to get my left off item. She in no way, shape, form, or fashion apologized to me. The girl working the drive through wouldn't even look at me. It truly angered me because not only did they look at my receipt, but they also checked the register and did a duplicate receipt as well. If I make a mistake, I will apologize and try not to do it again. Own up to it young lady! You made the mistake, not me! I have no reason to lie about it! Oh well, I won't be going back there again. Beware if you use the drive through folks. Check your order before you pull away from the window. By the way, there was another young lady working there that needed a personality makeover as well. If I had a restaurant, I would be a little bit picky about who worked for me. It's not worth running your business off. read more
