Everything about this place is excellent! The service, the food, drinks and the inside/outside the restaurant! They have a little patio out front, great for warm weather. Full bar as far as I know. My favorites for food are: Firecracker for appetizer Red planet roll and Pad Thai for main dish The parking can be a bit hard on the weekends so plan ahead. PS- V-Day featured drink, Gin Kiss, is an absolute must!

The service and ambiance were excellent, but the food was just okay. The portion sizes for the Teriyaki Chicken and Yum Chicken Noodle Bowl were reasonable for lunch, but not quite worth the price. While our dishes lacked flavor, I'd consider giving YUMM another try based on the many positive reviews.

The service and ambiance were great, but the food was just average. The portion sizes of both the Teriyaki chicken and Yum chicken noodle bowl were appropriate for lunch, but not for the price. Our dishes were really lacking in flavor, but I would be willing to try YUMM again sometime based on other positive reviews.

I was in Florence for Shoalsfest a couple of weekends ago. We were craving sushi and honestly there weren't too many sushi options to pick from, and we ended up finding this spot! This is definitely one of the nicer restaurants in Florence from what I could tell from my time there. The decor was gorgeous and the staff were all very friendly and gave us great recommendations. I ended up getting the bubba gump roll (which was delicious) and a spicy margarita. The food and the drink were both great but my one complaint was it was a little pricey for what it was. Overall, I enjoyed this spot and if I'm ever back in Florence, I would definitely come back here!

Panang Curry

Probably the best meal I've had while visiting Florence Alabama. I got the Panang Curry and my gf got the New Orleans roll and the California roll. Appetizers were the Pot stickers and the spring rolls. The new Orleans roll was underwhelming but overall a Fantastic meal. Service was quick and the bartender was helpful and Attentive. Decor was Trendy and wouldn't be out of place in a much bigger city.

I placed the order to be delivered by Uber eats. I was actually surprised that the food was tasty…read more We ordered the veggie spring rolls, crab rangoon, drunken noodles (veg), and Thai fried rice. The only thing I didn't like was the Thai fried rice. Well it was average. It was missing something, The crab rangoon was probably some of the best I ever had. My mother loved her drunken noodles so that was a plus.

I decided I'd give this restaurant a try a few weeks ago after seeing all the positive reviews…read more As others have mentioned, this restaurant is attached to a Best Western hotel. To be honest, I usually have very low expectations of "hotel restaurants," but I will say Banana Leaves exceeded those. If I were staying at a hotel and this was my option for dining, I wouldn't be mad. However, I also don't think this would be my first choice for an Asian-influenced dining experience. They have dishes from a lot of different Asian countries on the menu, though I'd say it leans most heavily Thai or Malaysian, with room for Japanese sushi. The menu isn't overwhelmingly large but it is quite varied. It was fairly quiet when I visited in the middle of the day on March 4. A few other diners trickled in while I ate. Service was suuuuper sweet. Kind, respectful, and diligent. I did go a little while between finishing my meal and getting a check, but I think she was trying to be respectful of me finishing up my food. I wasn't finishing it because I didn't really care for it, but that wasn't my waitress' fault. She even brought out a few small pieces of fruit for dessert as well as a box for my meal. Very thoughtful. I decided to order one of their lunch specials as that was the most cost effective option. I selected the Thai Basil Chicken. It comes with white rice, a salad, a spring roll, and a cup of soup. I also got a Thai iced tea to drink because I can never resist those. The Thai tea was very pretty. It was not particularly sweet and had a fairly strong almost vanilla-like flavor. I do prefer mine on the sweeter side personally, but it wasn't bad. I was warned that the Thai Basil chicken would be spicy but I really didn't find it spicy at all except when I ate an actual piece of chili. Then, it was pleasantly warming but nothing crazy. The vegetables still had a nice snap but for me I thought the chicken was rubbery and I really didn't like the texture of it. I mostly ate veggies and rolled my nicely cooked white rice around in the sauce. Disappointed in the chicken. The spring roll was fine -- exactly as you'd expect. I didn't realize there was a small divot in the dish that held the sweet and sour dipping sauce until it was basically too late. Oh well. The salad was plain but I enjoyed the typical Japanese style gingery dressing. I was somewhat pleasantly surprised to see the soup was a wonton soup. That was nice and I enjoyed trying it though I ultimately found the wontons to be rather bland. Idk, 3 stars sounds a little harsh but 4 is too generous. I think that the idea is really there but just a few too things missed the mark for me on the execution level. If I were to return, I'd like to try some of their Malaysian dishes, as there aren't a ton of places around Huntsville that serves that cuisine. I appreciate the kind and polite service and calm atmosphere.

It's not often, at least in Huntsville, to come upon a Thai food truck. But Twisted Thai is just…read morethat -- and it's a position it carries well! I'd had them on my to-try list for a while. One day last week I saw they'd be stationed at Northrop Grumman while I was working nearby, so I made plans to go grab a meal. They were fairly busy with a bunch of NG employees, but I came towards the end of service and they were still working efficiently. My wait wasn't bad. The menu is fairly large for a food truck and has classic Thai offerings, from curry to Thai basil plates to noodle dishes like pad see ewe and drunken noodles. You can choose your protein for practically any dish: chicken, beef, pork, or shrimp for an upcharge. They even have fancier, more traditional drinks like Thai coffee and green tea. It's an impressive setup for a food truck. I initially asked for an order of red curry, but the lady working the window said they only had green curry that day. I'm not sure if they only run one curry at a time, or if they'd just run out of everything but green. Next, I asked for pad see ewe, but they had run out of noodles. That was a little disappointing, though perhaps it's on me for coming later during service. I ultimately wound up with Thai basil with chicken. It came served with white rice. I also ordered some mango sticky rice for dessert since the season is basically on us for mango! I got a diet soda to drink -- as much as I love Thai tea, I didn't want to gild the lily TOO much. My food came out quickly and was packaged beautifully and very neatly. It was clearly made fresh as it was also very warm! I returned to my car to nosh covertly before returning to work. The Thai basil was good -- it's not my go-to Thai dish, but it was a good bit better than a version I had not long ago at a different restaurant. Pleasantly aromatic, veggies were still crispy, most of the chicken was a good, non-rubbery texture. It went well with the delicate white rice. I forgot to ask for at least a level 2 spicy, which is the one thing I'd change about it -- as it was served to me, it was very mild, and I wanted some kick. I wish someone would've prompted me about spice level when I ordered, but it's ultimately on me. The mango sticky rice was a delicious treat as always. This version was served with a purple-y colored rice rather than white. It didn't taste much different to me but the color was pretty. My mango still had a few slightly sour bites but it was mostly great, and that's not their fault anyway. The rice itself was still warm and delightfully, subtly sweet. I'd definitely patronize this truck again. Would love to try a curry or a noodle dish someday in the future, though I enjoyed my meal enough that I'd also order it again!

So I've been seeing the Twisted Thai food truck around town and decided to finally try them out…read more The staff was so kind and patient with me and offered some dishes I could try since this was my first visit. I decided to order their chicken and shrimp pad thai, spring rolls, and chicken dumplings. You may have to wait a few minutes since the food is cooked to order, but that didn't bother me at all. The food was awesome! Each dish was served hot and was seasoned very well. You could tell they used natural ingredients. The chicken & shrimp pad thai was my favorite! It also came with thinly sliced cabbage and carrots and a side of limes. Thankfully, they put the peanuts on the side without me having to ask (I don't like a lot of peanuts in my pad thai personally). Keep in mind, they do have tables with umbrellas that you can sit at if you want to eat your food there/in the elements. I really enjoyed my visit today and I highly recommend this business.
