That said, the place is clean and the service is excellent, friendly and attentive every time. Come for the food, not the atmosphere.

We tried to contact the owner because Koracha has been one of the best Thai restaurants in Bedford for a long time, Nick used to be our favorite server. He always took great care of us, and from what we saw, he treated every customer with warmth and genuine hospitality. Unfortunately, that welcoming feeling seems to be missing now. I was there today, ordered the orange peel chicken entree and a drink. Restaurant was clean and a large tv on the wall was playing a video bloopers program. Manager was an older asian guy and there were two high school students behind the counter trying to look busy. Noon on a sunday and there was only one other table occupied. I should have recognized this omen. The food arrived fast and was a surprisingly large portion. Presentation was very good. The chicken was appropriately sauced and garnished. The fried rice held the shape of the ice cream scoop that was used to dump it onto the plate yet was still flaky and not sticky. First impression: This is going to be a good meal. Then the first bite. I have had orange chicken before and have a good idea of how it should taste, this did not taste great. You know those chinese places where all their sauces have that burnt brown gravy flavor to them? Yeah that fits what was on my plate, looked good tasted not so good. I could taste hints of what it was supposed to taste like but the burnt brown gravy tasting 'base' really overpowered it. The chicken was fried well, it was nice a crispy, slightly hardened from sitting under a heating device for a while though. appearances were nice though. Biting into it i was immediately taken to a memory of another chicken product.. the nuggets at the golden M place, deep fried and very chemical in flavor. I have had two sodas since eating this food and brushed my teeth and used mouthwash and still the "chemical" (for lack of better terms) flavor still lingers in my mouth. Instead of making a fuss about the advertisement flyers he was trying to bundle up to be posted on peoples doorknobs I think the manager guy should be tasting the product that is coming out of the kitchen, it really doesn't taste good at all and needs much improvement. I'm big on getting what I pay for when it comes to food, and this experience missed the mark across the board. I ordered the General Tso's chicken extra spicy, two spring rolls, a beef egg roll, and fried rice. First, the General Tso's was nowhere near extra spicy. There was literally no heat to it at all. Instead, it was extremely sweet and tasted more like orange chicken than the General Tso's I was expecting. Then came the spring rolls. When I tell you these things were about the length of a Vienna sausage, I'm not exaggerating. Two tiny spring rolls for around $1.89 felt like a rip-off. The beef egg roll was another $1.89 for one and was about half the size of a regular hot dog link. On top of being small, it was bland. Even the fried rice portion was disappointing. It came in one of those traditional Chinese takeout containers, but basically the smallest size possible. What really sealed the deal was when I called after getting home. I wasn't even calling demanding a refund or trying to argue. I simply told them that, for future reference, my General Tso's wasn't extra spicy and tasted extremely sweet. The response I got was basically, "We forgot to make it extra spicy, but it's spicy." Okay... If you forgot to make it extra spicy, then just say that. There's no need to argue with a customer about what they're literally sitting there eating. Overall, this was a 1-star experience for me. Between the food, tiny portions, value for the money, and the response when I called, I wouldn't return. Save your money and your time. There are too many other Chinese food spots around DFW to feel like you got beat out of your money after dinner.

I explained to him the condition of the shrimp in the rolls and entree, and he offered a refund or to remake the items. I wanted to pay for what was made well, but he refunded the whole order. Based on the reviews, they do have things to be enjoyed, but I don't think I'll get anything else from them outside of the boba/smoothie.
