We arrived on a Tuesday about 11:40. There was only one other customer. While we were there 4 groups of 2 did come in. I noticed most everyone else was ordering the daily specials - a beef sandwich or tenderloin sandwich. The buffet had a lot of food. Couldn't figure out the economics of so much food for so few people. There is a hot buffet that had fried chicken and 4 or 5 other entrees. The fried chicken didn't seem quite done to me, but the chef assured me it was and I was just seeing coloring from the marinade. I think the only thing on the hot buffet either of us liked were the au gratin potatoes, the was also a large salad bar and an extremely wide selection of desserts. I'd say it was ok, probably not as good as Bonnie Cafe at the airport. They do seem to do a good job of marketing and their specials must attract a lot of local interest.

So on Friday we decided to check them out again. So glad we did! The food was great and the service was awesome. Everything was well cooked and fresh. Nothing was dried up or awful like it was a couple of years ago. The steak was perfect!! Cooked perfectly-- little char, very juicy-- fantastic!! The fried seafood was perfect: crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. The salads and desserts were fresh and super tasty. So happy that Golden Corral has made these improvements. My granddaughters loved to come to this place years back and they will be so happy to come back again now that the food is great again. Also the mgmt has tried to freshen up the appearance of this location and thanks for that as well.
