I started my journey on April Fool's Day instead. Yes, really. I began with a body scan to see just how "fat" I really was. Was is the key word here. Don't get me wrong, it took years to get where I was, but if I hadn't stopped the trend, I would be much larger today. And now after months of training with Nichole, the results are showing. I've lost some weight, but more importantly, I've gained muscle and real strength. Today I did seven full minutes of cardio. That might not sound like much, but for me, that is a huge win. I tried the trendy medications. The side effects and cost were just too much. So I went old school. Hard work, consistency, and guidance. That is where Nichole and EA Fitness come in. Nichole has the perfect balance of care and challenge. She pushes me beyond what I think I can do, but never so far that I risk hurting myself trying to beat my last session. She knows exactly when to push and when to pull back, and that kind of expertise matters more than people realize. EA Fitness has a great mix of machines and weights, so there is truly something for everyone, no matter your starting point. The environment is friendly, motivating, and completely judgment-free. No side eye. No pressure. Just encouragement and support from people who genuinely want you to succeed. I never find myself waiting for cardio machines or weights; there's plenty of options. A big bonus for me is that there are very few days that this gym is closed. I feel like it's really only Christmas that they aren't open at all. On holidays like Memorial Day, Labor Day, etc. they have "member only hours," where you scan in with your fob and there may not be staff at the desk. If you're looking for a gym in the Southtowns that is clean, low volume, and has flexible hours, this is a perfect fit!

Well it all started with my wife telling me about this 6 week challenge thing. After listening to…read moreher little speech and reasoning for trying it I decided to do it with her. Figuring ... it would be fun and something good we could do togather. I though to myself it would be a little easier to eat the same way and me being a weight lifter be able to handle any of the workouts that is thrown at me.  First the diet, it took some getting good used to. Going from a meat and potatoes type of guy to eating plants and fruits for the most part. After a short time we learned different ways to prepare our meals for the days coming. It turned out to be fun, challenging and actually tasted quite good. Second the workouts, being a weight lifter and a hockey player I thought I was in ok shape, NOT !  The workouts we did were very challenging and a little bit different different than what I was used to. I learned a lot of different exercises and moves that helped me in both lifting get and most off all my hockey. I also learned things that will incorporate into my own workout routines. All in all and to make a long story short I am happy to say my wife and I were successful in our  challenge. I planned on losing 20 lbs. in 6 weeks and ended up losing 26.8 lbs. in 6 weeks without realizing it. I am taking away from this challenge a good diet habit to supplement my everyday meals, good workout routines to incorporate my own workouts and most of all a great friendship and information base with all of our trainers. This was definitely a life changing event that I will not forget.

I had gained at least 20 pounds and was really hating the way I looked and felt. I had lost weight before but have always been unable to keep it off. I really needed a change. The workouts in the program are the kind I have always wanted to do - easy to understand, fast, and a good mix of cardio and strength training. I have never been able to motivate myself to do these types of workouts on my own. The trainers at Body and Soul were kind, engaging and caring. They want everyone to work hard and be safe. I've been a member of another gym for 9 years and had personal trainers at different points in my life. I have never gotten so much attention and positivity from trainers at any other gym. Even the atmosphere of the other gym members is great. Going there just made me happy. Anyone who asked me about the diet I always said the same thing: It's very restrictive. It's all the healthy things you know you're supposed to eat. While it was a challenge to eat at all the right times it was nothing a little planning ahead of time couldn't handle. I really liked being able to pick simple things from a menu and not have to track everything endlessly. Overall I am stronger, leaner, I feel great and I am so happy I did the challenge. One important part that they teach us is about proper nutrition. The program teaches us about healthy eating, planning our meals and tracking what we eat. For me, it really helped me getting rid of some bad habits and getting my good eating habits back. The workouts are great, always challenging us, run by some excellent trainers. They are all very knowledgable, very positive, motivational and stress the right techiques to use with all exercises. Personally,I have several previous injuries, the trainers are great at not only adjusting the exercises due to my injuries, but stressing correct techniques to prevent any further injuries. I have gained strength in my shoulders, back and biceps which enables me to do all the workouts without any pain. Combining proper nutrition and consistently exercising has helped me go from 208 pounds to 163 pounds in the last year. I am feeling better, stronger, have more energy and sleep better. What I really like is the 45 minutes workouts, I make it part of my day and doesn't take up much time. I have worked out at many different clubs throughout my life but my experience with Formula3Fitness has gotten me much greater results in a short period of time, surpassing anything that I thought was possible. What a shame that this little gym would chose air fresheners over their members. I recently joined…read morefor a year, paid in full and started to workout daily...the gym has most everything I need and I am self motivated so working out at this little town gym fit my schedule. I hit a wall immediately with the over powering smell of chemicals in their air fresheners. I had trouble breathing and could literally taste the air:( They have several in the wall sockets around the gym, as well as a continuous one that blasts you from above. The air quality is horrendous and toxic. I politely asked to have them removed ....most people working out are deep breathing as OXYGEN is important during this time. The gym merely moved them to inconspicuous locations leaving me no choice but to ask for a refund. Seriously disappointed. The gym is already VERY clean. So they get ONE STAR. There is no need to mask the smell of a gym with toxic, electric air fresheners blasting through the air. Horrible. HEALTH is why people join a gym!!! So this gym apparently could care less....harming its members from these toxic chemicals in the air:( if you're so concerned with the smell...AIR PURIFIERS work best for small spaces. What a concept.

My back was broken, pain down my one leg for a year until i finally took care if my herniated disk but he improved my quality of life during that awful part of my life where nothing else could even touch the pain. He knows exactly what makes what do what in the body. I wish he stayed local. He's far from me now so i have not been to his new office yet.
