This company sucks. Don't use them no matter what. We ordered a temporary dumpster through them and filled it up faster than we thought. Didn't think it would be a big deal to call them and have them get it early. That was 6 days ago :( It turns out, there is NO WAY to talk to a real person. Everything has to go through an automated voice system - which just hangs up on you half way through the process. We have spent hours trying to get this dumpster picked up to no avail. Meanwhile, it is getting picked apart by vagrants. Never again. read more

With W.M. I had been paying annually. The yearly, full amount, was paid in August- effectively giving me a credit to my account until next August. There was then an additional charge of $14 and change- I have paperfree billing. Last week I received a bill for the $14 & I was informed tht my acct was suspended & they wouldn't pick up my garbage. I got the letter Monday & my normal pick up is on Thursday. I called today (Monday) & was told my acct was cancelled. I asked if they'd be sending a refund & was told yes. Wow. I really wish I had checked Yelp before signing up- three years ago. read more

THE WORST waste removal company in Minneapolis. Not only did I cancel my service and have a sign receipt of such cancellation, I now find out that they "claim" they did not received the cancellation - it has been over 3 weeks. Now I am being told I will be charged $75 for a removal of the container. REALLY?? I will never use Waste Management again nor would I recommend this company to anyone. read more

Extremely disappointed with waste management's customer service. I was saddened to learn that the Garbage Man sold out to waste management. Since this occurred I have been extremely frustrated with the level of service, pricing, and customer service. My scheduled pick up has now been delayed for two weeks. I understand skipping one pick up due to weather. However this last week has been more than manageable to keep service on track. This month, I received a five dollar late payment fee for them receiving my check one day "past due"(keep in mind, I've NEVER been late on a payment). While I understand that was my mistake - I paid the five dollars. However now I have not had trash collection in over two weeks and both of my containers are overflowing. When calling to voice my concerns, I received the statement "let me know when you want us to pick up your containers". Shame on you waste management this is extremely poor customer service for people that pay you hundreds of dollars. Speaking of that- my invoices have also increased from the buy out. Originally I received a letter informing me of the merger with a reassurance that nothing would change. If you are looking for waste removal I would highly encourage you to look elsewhere. After I found out that, after 10 years of being a customer, they were charging 3x the going rate, I cancelled. They thanked me by charging a $120 termination fee. Look elsewhere. read more

Our garbage service has changed to Waste Management. Our normal pick up date is Wednesday. Our yard waste and garbage was set out this past Wednesday. Garbage was picked up, yard wast was not. This is the 2nd Wednesday in a row our yard waste has not been collected. I called on Thursday and Waste Management said it would be picked up tonorrow( Friday). I called twice today and received and email. After speaking with Waste Managementa few minutes ago, I was told the driver was there at 9:45AM and could not find the container. Very weird because the container has not moved from the curb for three days. I would not recommend Waste Management as a garbage carrier and if this happens again, we will look for another service. Beyond shady business practices! They slipped in a $75 container pick-up fee if you cancel service as part of the invoice for next year's service. No prior communication to customers and is apparently effective immediately. Plus they delayed picking up the containers and then prorated additional charges for service during the delay. I had been a customer for 3 years but recommend that you run, not walk, away from Waste Management. Essentially, they changed the terms of the agreement and threaten to turn you over to collections if you don't pay the disputed charges. What is this, the Mafia!? read more
