My garbage wasn't picked up on 17 Mar. Neighbors on both sides had their garbage picked up. I called the Customer Service number, and was told by the attendant, that the latest it would be picked up was by COB on the 18th. I returned from work on the 18th, and my garbage had yet to be collected. I called Customer Service again, and after being routed through their Northern California Office, was directed to New Mexico. The attendant first tried to tell me that the garbage had been picked up (lie), and then told me it would be picked up by COB on the 19th. I asked to speak to the office manager. The Waste Management in this state, particularly Rio Rancho, are some of the laziest and most incompetent people I've ever encountered. There have been multiple times over the last year I've been in this awful state where the drivers don't even bother emptying my trash cans. I'll end up calling customer service, begging them to send a drive out, and they never come. In one instance, I told them my trash wasn't serviced. They said that was impossible because there's a video of them emptying my trash. They emailed me the video and it was the driver emptying MY NEIGHBORS TRASH. I called two more times and a driver never came. If the trashcan is too full or the lid lifts just a little, they refuse to empty it. They say it exceeds the limit, but if I pay $80 for a second trashcan, they'll be happy to empty it. If I put trash next to the trashcan they refuse to get out of their vehicles as well. You have to pay extra for that, but its only available a few times a month. I came out to Rio Rancho from California. In the 20 years I was out there, not once did a trashman not service my trash. It didn't matter if there were piles and piles of trash next to my can. They always made sure everything was picked up. They got out of their vehicles, too. Not once did I have to pay for that. The worst ever. Haul your own trash rather than dealing with the liars that populate this company. I've already filed with the Better Business Bureau. One latest example: the driver toss my recyclables all over the street and then told his boss I had never put the bin out to begin with. Happily, anticipating the deceitful nature of this company, I had already taken photographs before and after. Waste Management is an incompetent organization, I would suggest NOT using their services. They delivered their roller cans for garbage and recycle to our home. I called this office and explained that I was not their customer and I wanted them to come and remove their cans. They could not figure out how they could come and get the cans as my address was not an address in their customer database. Yes, I'm NOT a customer. Worst customer service ever. Pick up only once weekly In village of los ranchos, and only every other week for recycle. At my other home in Houston it is twice weekly and recycling weekly for 30% less. I think someone in the village must be getting paid off for such a terrible contract When they skip the pickups you can never get through on their service number- when you do they lie and don't pickup until a week later-they must be replaced. A month ago, a green notice was attached to my garbage can saying in needs to be replaced and my garbage WAS NOT removed! I trued to contact Waste Mgt but UNABLE to talk to a PERSON! I scheduled a pick up & replace on line for February 27th. I also communicated with someone via HELP on-line. The person said my request was NOT showing, so they also scheduled a pick-up for FEBRUARY 27th & my garbage can would be replaced & garbage picked up. My garbage was removed, but the can WAS NOT replaced! I saw a call from WM on my phone while I was in the doctor's office, but no voicemail message was left. WHY CAN'T I GET THE SERVICE I PAY FOR? Why am I paying for service for garbage & recycle, when recycle is only picked up every other week, which IS NOT what I signed up for. Recycle bins are over stuffed by residents in my area, and the wind blows it all over the neighborhood. I NEED my garbage bin replaced asap. It has now been a month trying to get this done. read more

Waste management in the ABQ/RR is ran by a full team of incompetent morons. My recycling bin was completely skipped one day and haven't returned to empty. Calling their support is a total waste of time. They promise pickups and it never happens. Asking to speak with a manager if the NM area never happens. I caught the driver on camera drive up by the bin and then leave. I wish we had alternative companies to go thru. They constantly miss pick ups. Never give good reasons. You end uo wasting your time calling over and over and become frustrated. read more

With the recent rate hike and the features this companies says they have provided the customers such as free landfill use they have really shown their true colors and the city councils incompetence. They went to quarterly billing ( you a paying in advance, why can't I pay monthly?) If I want paper billing I have to pay a fee (tax)? I have to pay for this company to charge me?, I am unable to get a smaller trash bin because "that's the way it is", why am I paying for something I don't use? If I only have one bag of trash a week and only require pickup twice a month why am I made to pay for four pickups? this company has a monopoly and the city of Rio Rancho council is a disservice to the people of the community. read more

So I just bought my half million dollar retirement home with 13 acres and find out that we have Waste Management as our trash company. I call to change the service over to my name and I'm told "We can't do that over the phone, you need to come into the office." WTF? I'm also told that they can't change the name because the old owner has some sort of "vested interest". What kind of crap is that? I am the new owner not him and I can't even have my name on the trash bill? Then the uppity route driver picks and chooses what trash cans he picks up. I have 2 cans in front of my place and 1 sat full for 2 weeks. I call WM and ask why, they tell me that I'm only paying for 1. So why didn't they come and take the other one? They have no answer. They tell me that they will do a "courtesy pick-up" that Tuesday. Tuesday comes and the trash is still there, for another week it sits before it gets dumped. Why? Because I told them to charge me for another can. What a crock of crap. The funny thing is that now that I live in unincorporated Albuquerque I actually have a choice of trash companies. I think that I'll be looking into a company that will listen. I don't even have recycling bins. It's not enough that I have to haul my own trash 1/4 mile to the road myself but then not to have it picked up is another. WM needs to clean up their own act before they clean up the streets. read more

For several years I have been enrolled in e-billing and then would pay my bill on-line. For my first bill this year, I received a paper bill and notice a $5 admin fee. I called to ask about it and was told the fee was because of the paper bill. I explained I have always used e-billing & they could look at my previous bills and see that I wasn't charged for a paper bill. The guy reversed the $5 fee and put me back on e-billing. I asked if there was anything else I needed to do but he said no, he had it all taken care of. This week I receive a paper bill for this quarter, again with a $5 admin fee. Called to ask about it and explained what happened previously. The guy said even though my web acct shows I am enrolled in e-billing, their system has me enrolled in paper billing. He said he fixed that. However, he cannot waive the $5 fee. Apparently, at the beginning of this year, they started a policy that if you do not enroll in BOTH e-billing and automatic payments, they will charge you $5. There was no notification of this change in writing. Based on previous bad experiences I do not allow any creditors to make automatic payments out of my checking acct and I am not about to start now. This is what happens when a business is allowed a monopoly. They get to make whatever changes and charges they want, and there is nothing the customer can do about it. I am unable to chose another trash company; I am stuck with Waste Management at this point because I am in Valencia County. So I say to the managers at Waste Management, I hope your greed comes to bite you in the ass! read more

Waste management doesnt deserve any stars!! My trash, once again, was not picked up. They sure are quick to send a bill and expect payments, but dont see to it the trash is collected. Since last december mine hasnt been picked up 6 times!!! I had to drive an hour & a half to Rio Rancho and happened to meet Cliff, who got really upset with the situation. I then was given the route managers name and number to call. Since then, 5 more times my trash hasnt been picked up. I called Johnny, route manager, only got him on the phone 1 time. Id left messages, none of which were returned. I called the 892-1200 number and was told they'd look into it. Nothing happened, no calls returned or explantions. When calling again, I was told the driver was sick. Well who fills in?? Another time I called, was told the truck broke down. So theres only 1 truck?? Today I called Johnny expecting to get his voice mail, but he answered! So I asked him why my trash was missed as well as everyone elses, and he said he's not the route manager for that area anymore. I asked him if he had a number to the new route manager, and he said no. I asked what do I do, that this is happening at least every other month. He said to call the office on monday. Well a lot of good that does me now!! My trash is full now!! This is the sorriest service Iv ever had!!! read more
