Thanks for Milwaukee Plumbing for helping us so quickly and efficiently with a new water heater!…read moreWe're in the process of selling our condo, and after an inspection we realized our water heater, though still working well, was at the end of its life. We called MKE Plumbing and the sent someone out within a few hours to take a look. Later that afternoon we received a call from the company confirming a quote and what it would take to get this project done. We have a unique situation in that our water heater is suspended from the ceiling, pretty high up above our washer/dryer, and it's also an unusual size. The company was able to book us in for an official replacement within a few days, as all they needed was to wait on the parts to arrive. Steve came on a Tuesday morning and was both approachable and accommodating. He helped my husband remove and replace the closet door blocking the space, and assisted in getting everything back in place afterward. All in all, the (seemingly tough) process took about five hours. We were charged roughly $2200, compared to quotes upwards of $3000 we received via phone from other plumping companies. Hopefully no return repairs but they certainly got a difficult job done.

I'm pretty handy and tried gallons of liquid plumber and a snake and had a big mess- I worked on it for about a day and a half with huge bath towel's soaked from leaking liquid plumber and me plunging (from the garbage disposal that wasn't designed to be filled with liquid plumber over 18 hours). I also tried boiling water multiple times to no avail. Schoof's said they would be there the next day in the morning. The very polite scheduling person called me in the morning saying they were running about one hour behind, which wasn't a big deal. Kevin and his assistant arrived and promptly put down protective material in case of any mess. They had the kitchen unclogged in 15 minutes with their tools and knowledge of the plumbing system. A bathroom sink was also clogged, and this one was a little more complicated for them to solve, but it took about a half hour. They used multiple professional power tools and worked quickly and as a team. All done start to finish in just under 1 hour and worth every penny. Next time, I'm calling them first. The kitchen and bathroom sink now drains like new (it's never been this good since I moved in) In the past, they replaced a large portion of a main drain pipe that was cracked from age in my basement. They did a great job and it's holding up perfectly after 2.5 years. Highly recommended. Very trustworthy to fix the problem and not try to sell you anything you don't need (they have all the right tools and parts should something be needed). Excellent work ethic and very polite.

Both time's I saw some improvement in water pressure, but it was only temporary. The last time they were out, I asked for a quote on a new iron filter or curtain. Never got the quote. My water pressure dropped again and decided to have a different company look at it. The new plumber showed me the iron filter which was clearly not cleaned and cacked with iron. This was only a month after they were here to clean it!! I've spent over $700 the past 6 months for nothing. DO NOT USE THEM. Their rating says it all.

While I was not crazy about Pam in our initial interaction, she got better over time. After comparing multiple bids, I selected Seider, their Daikin Central Air unit came with an almost unheard of 12 year parts and labor warranty. With a little back and forth with Todd on a time for installation, we were all set. Pam and I scheduled the day and time and sure enough, the installers were there exactly when Pam said they would be. Just two minor quibbles that prevented five stars here: 1) After installation, the installers left behind some screws on the floor that I naturally stepped on in stocking feet several days later. 2) The electrician asked before using my bathroom, but did not feel the need to wash his hands afterwards.
