I made an appointment 2 days later for the extraction (they could have even done next day, but I was unavailable). As soon as I sat down in the chair, I was a jittery little ball of anxiety. It was my first time having anything more than a filling. The assistants were amazing! Explained everything in the post-op instructions, answered any questions I had, and numbed my mouth up. But I'm still nervous. Then the dentist comes in: "Ready? If you ever need me to stop for any reason, just raise your hand." He grabs a little tool from the tray. I clench my fists. I curl my toes. And I open my mouth. "Before we get started," he says, as he reaches in, "I'll tell you this. The one thing you can do to help me is to not open your mouth fully.. close it a little and it'll be easier for me and more comfortable for you. Yeah, like that. You see how it doesn't hurt when I push on the inside of your cheek now?" He does that a couple times to show me, and he's right. "And the other thing you can do to help is fight against me when I push on your tooth. Like this. When I push like this, you push back. Yep, just like that. And we're done. If you want to see your tooth, it's right here on the table." This master of distraction did the whole dang procedure while he was giving me the instructions! It honestly felt like magic. This dentist office is not the best I've experienced. I went for a few visits in 2017, once for a…read morecleaning, and several times for fillings. I had quite a few cavities "in between my teeth" despite the fact that i don't drink coffee or soda ever, I eat pretty well, and floss everyday. I decided to get 4 of the 18 they said I had filled. After my cleaning, I made an appointment for the fillings. I ended up having to work that day, so I rescheduled about a month or two later. When I came in for that new appointment, the technician cleaned my teeth again and tried to let me go! I informed her I was there to get fillings done, and the woman at the front desk was very confused until she saw that I was right as I had just had a cleaning about two months prior. They told me I couldn't get my fillings done that day, even though they messed up so I'd have to come back. I went and got the fillings done and all seemed fine. I was quoted $106 for all four fillings after my insurance was taken into account. However when I received my bill, it's was over $250. That's a big discrepancy. I called to ask why that estimate was so off and I was told that the amount they estimate isn't always accurate. After doing my own investigating, I found that they charged my insurance way more per tooth than they told me they would in the estimate. I was then told that if I wanted to see what the actual amount was per tooth, I had to request that information myself and it would not be provided to me voluntarily by North College Dental. If I went into Walmart and wanted to purchase a gallon of milk, I shouldn't have to ask the cashier how much the milk actually is if the price tag they provided said $1.99! I have a coworker who I recommended to visit this dentist that had a similar subpar experience with billing. Not long after I got the teeth filled, I was in excruciating pain because the fillings were not shaved down properly, so I had to come in again to get that fixed. I was told it would take up to 6 months to lose sensitivity in a new filling, but here I am almost a a year later and it doesn't feel much better than it did when I went in. I can say that they provided me a $5 Starbucks gift card for recommending a friend so that's a nice gesture, and slightly ironic. Way to encourage bad eating habits by providing me free coffee and sugary drinks. I'll be seeking a new dentist.

I was warned by a past patient even before I went for my first visit. I should have listened. Do not let the basic 6-month cleaning reviews fool you. I've been a patient here since 2022, and I am very cooperative, but I have deep dental anxiety. What I personally went through here completely traumatized me. I am not the only one; if you scroll down far enough on Yelp, you'll see that many experienced exactly what I did. Because of this pattern, I will now be contacting the state board of dentistry regarding my care. My first bad experience happened when a front tooth fell out, and Dr. Isaacs suddenly claimed it was a "compromised tooth." He had never once mentioned this to me. as a female and as a person that loves to smile. I would've never delayed on having a crown put on or having tooth fixed as he had just filled a tiny cavity on it. If I would've been told it was compromised, I would've never waited. No one ever wants to lose a front tooth.. If he had actually told me, I would have gotten a protective crown. Instead, he rushed me into a temporary plastic "flipper" appliance that cost me $500 out of pocket, never fit right, and broke almost immediately. the shading of the tooth did not match my own teeth as they did give me a complementary $75 teeth whitening strips.I did not ask for them. They noticed, the assistant did , Not dentist, noticed that the flipper did not match my natural teeth. Even after the teeth whitening, it did not match and that flipper broke within weeks because it was not properly fitted. The response from Dr. Issac's!! "They're not meant to last forever". Didn't accommodate,basically blaming again the patient.The stress was so bad that I delayed going back for months because I was terrified. Pam at the front desk basically gaslighted me after I've had my teeth pulled and stated he's a good dentist isn't he? He's a good dentist isn't he. That's all I will say on that matter.. Last autumn, I finally went back to address two teeth on my right side, fully expecting to receive a standard filling and a crown. Instead, I was told it was "too late" and he extracted both of them. They made another multi-tooth flipper appliance that cost me an additional $Just days after having those two teeth extracted, while my mouth was still bleeding, heavily swollen, and full of active stitches, he forced that new $ flipper into my mouth. I was literally crying and shaking (I am forever grateful for his assistant that held my hand in the room while this was taking place, she was a true angel) in the chair from the sheer pain. Instead of stopping, he just injected my mouth with lidocaine to numb the area to force the appliance in before I left. When I told him it felt like it was going to make my other healthy teeth fall right out, I quote his exact words: "Well then you have something wrong with your teeth."He is the dentist--he is supposed to be the professional who identifies and treats what is wrong with my teeth, not blaming my body for his forceful work and terrible appliances. I take responsibility for delaying care. I will take responsibility for that. With that being said. Who wouldn't delay care after that experience literally traumatized, It scarred me so badly that I never went back and actually had to pull out my own surgical stitches at home. Once the swelling finally went down, not down completely ,enough for me to see the tooth next to the tooth he pulled, I saw a prominent brown spot on the tooth right next to where he did the extractions. I emailed the office instantly.That should have been completely obvious on the X-rays he took. I built up the courage to send them a very polite email asking to come in and have it looked at, again I delayed care because of the trauma, and finally built up the courage months later to reach out only to be completely ignored /ghosted. But the second I sent an email legally and politely requesting my records? They replied within minutes claiming their "internet was "down" all week. But mysteriously their Internet was up and working when I requested my records and they sent promptly. when I say promptly I mean within minutes. Mysterious isn't it. My experience, they ignore you when you are hurting, blame you for their mistakes, and only respond when they are scared of liability. Did I delay care. Yes. As anyone would after an experience like I had. This has been very challenging and difficult for me to have to share such a traumatizing experience, but I feel it's only right to let others know. I should've listened ,past patient when I let them know I found a dentist because our dentist of 20 years had retired. I should've listened so now I'm trying to help others. I am left without a dentist, in pain, and dealing with severe anxiety because of how this office treated me. Avoid this place.

The Doctor here is very calm, takes the time to explain the procedure being performed and the process of discussing cost is smooth and painless and very clear. The dentist was very skilled in that even for a tooth extraction there was adequate local anesthesia to the point where I did not feel a thing. The procedure went quickly, and without any inefficiencies. There were clear post operative instructions and the support staff including the assistant are both; knowledgeable, friendly, and very task and work focused. I will be returning for routine checks and visits, open on Saturdays for working folk; this is a great find.
