We didn't notice any problem until after all the rain over the 4th of July when we noticed two water spots on our ceiling. We worked with Michael to do a "tune up" on our roof about 2 years ago, so I called him and he came out and inspected our roof. He provided me with two PDFs, one with photos of hail damage to our house and one containing weather details of hail impact in our area. Armed with his documentation I filed a claim with my insurance. Michael was present for the inspection by the insurance adjuster and we were approved on the spot for a new roof. I believe Michaels documentation and presence for the inspection worked in our favor, we went in with our guns loaded. Our project involved 1) exterior repair and painting 2) new roof 3) interior ceiling repair and painting. We had trim and siding that was rotted or damaged by critters, including the chimney which was the source of our leaks. Exterior repairs were made and the house painted. Then the roof was replaced. Finally the water spots were cut out of the ceiling, insulation fell through and was removed, sheetrock replaced and painted, and new insulation brought in to replace the old. The ceiling repairs were important to us because we were concerned about mold. The whole project was completed within about a month of the insurance inspection and claim approval. Michael was involved throughout the entire process. He patiently answered my questions, we made a few tweaks along the way, and he made sure work was done correctly. I couldn't be happier with the result. It was a pleasure working with him and I have great peace of mind knowing that the job was done right. After a hailstorm several years ago, I had two separate insurance adjustors tell me that replacing my roof wasn't necessary. So, I decided to obtain two opinions from roofers. The first roofing company came out and told me that a full replacement was necessary. Then, I had Drury Roofing come out and was told, in detail, why full replacement wasn't necessary. I wouldn't have thought to call them based on their lack of Yelp reviews, but Hope used them as subcontractors when she worked as an architect/project manager and thought they did good work. We used them to replace my parents' roof a few years ago and it went well, I was impressed by how well they cleaned up. When some big tree branches fell on it during the last ice storm they came and looked at things, did minor repairs on the roof and parts of a gutter, it was all very professional. We had them come out and look at some other houses recently due to seeing neighbors getting roofs replaced, they said some houses were fine but two needed new roofs. On one their estimate came in lower than State Farm's estimate. The other was initially denied by Allstate but after we objected and the insurer sent out another adjuster that claim was also approved and paid out. I thought the initial denial was weird, damage is damage, but they switched the person handling my claim so maybe that person was picking bad adjusters. It's hard to get excited about roofers, I mean if you need one you're probably pretty annoyed you need one, but if you're looking for a reputable local company that does good work then go with Drury.
