My partner and I connected with Rebecah and her approach to family coaching. Her guidance helped us navigate challenges with greater confidence and consistency, leading to stronger communication within our family. Building healthy family relationships takes ongoing effort, and Rebecah's personalized approach kept the strategies practical, grounded, and focused on core principles. We highly recommend Witts's End Parenting and only wish we had found it sooner. read more

I'd highly recommend working with Rebecah. She was really helpful in shifting the way I communicate with my strong-willed daughter. Some of her strategies were very simple and amazingly effective. read more

Our pediatrician recommended we speak with Rebecah as someone with expertise with strong-willed kids. We didn't have any experience with parent coaches so my wife and I were skeptical in the beginning. We decided to try her out since our strategies fell short for our 5yo. Rebecah helped us a ton. She has a lot of experience and it shows from her examples - they are 100% realistic. We didn't have to explain twice. She gets it but doesn't pretend to know it all. She asks questions and wants to tailor her advice to your family. She also never offered generic parenting advice you can find on Reddit and Instagram. Our child started responding to the changes we introduced. We still follow the new "tools" after completing the sessions (it's now been 5 weeks). If you're serious about trying something new in the way you parent, I would strongly recommend you talk with Rebecah and I have a very hard time believing you will be disappointed. read more

We had such a wonderful experience working with Rebecah. She truly understands strong-willed kids and gave us both the emotional and practical support we needed. We followed her curriculum with our child and saw immediate results, and it also deepened our relationship so that we were on the same page and conflicts were dramatically reduced. Our child is now completing chores with minimal prompting or complaint, behaving better in school, and feeling more autonomy and responsibility in a way that has been really beautiful to watch unfold. I can't recommend Rebecah enough. We are so grateful to have found her! read more

We started working with Rebecah about two months ago, and it's been one of the best parenting help we have ever gotten. We came in dealing with tantrums and boundary-pushing; pretty much the full strong-willed toddler package. What sets Rebecah apart is how tailored her approach is. She didn't hand us a generic playbook, she really got to know our son and gave us strategies that fit him. One example: the post-it method, where we write down the expected behavior together before starting an activity. Simple idea, huge impact. She also coached us on things like getting down to his level, keeping a warm tone, and giving just the right amount of notice before transitions. These small shifts made a noticeable difference almost immediately. Beyond the practical tools, she genuinely shifted how we think as parents. Her approach is supportive and completely non-judgmental, which made it easy to be open about what wasn't working. We'd recommend Rebecah to any parent feeling stuck, especially if you have a strong-willed kid, but honestly, any parent could benefit from her guidance. Highly recommend Wits' End Parenting. read more

Rebecah is an ultra experienced person. When we started with her, we were struggling with lots of tantrums and generally were unsure what to do. She met with us for 8 sessions and helped us develop tailored solutions for our specific situation. I highly, highly recommend. Her educational background is key. I think there was just a very different approach than what I was thinking naturally. read more

Rebecah's 8 week course taught us many new valuable tools that we use to help our child. And those same tools help reduce stress for us too. The structure was clear and her coaching points were generally simple to action. We also had plenty of dialog on our specific situation; she not only provided specific strategies, but equally as helpful were her insights into children with the profile of ours. Her experience and knowledge as an educator was valuable for us, as she had ideas for the classroom and gave us a better understanding of the experience our child has at school. read more

Rebecah and Wits' End Parenting has been a god-sent for our family and our 5/6 year old son, who is precocious and creative yet extremely willful and sensitive at times! So the guidance, tools, and larger map envisioning Rebecah helped us greatly improve the environment of our household in a way that was playful, kind, respectful, and consistent. I cannot imagine how else we would have gotten through the stuck place we were this last summer without Wits' End Parenting! We will return for this trusted wisdom and recommend it to any and all parents at their "wit's end!" read more

Empathetic, positive, creative, personalized and brilliant parent coaching! Worth every penny. Couldn't recommend more. Zoom visits, easy scheduling. Thank you! read more

Rebecah's advice and coaching points were clear and relatively simple to put into action. It took me from feeling kind of helpless on the sidelines to actually being able to do something that seems to help my child. Her strategies felt practical and realistic for everyday situations, and over time we started seeing meaningful improvements in my child's behavior and emotional outbursts. I also felt more confident and equipped as a parent. I also loved that her program provides coaching and support for teachers. I'm very grateful for her guidance and highly recommend her. read more

We just completed our 8 week coaching program with Rebecah and they have been immensely valuable to our family. We came to her for support as our 4 year old deeply feeling son had become a big challenge for our family with constant meltdowns and resistance and also facing issues at his preschool for troubling behavior. Our weekly sessions were helpful in addressing the specific triggers we kept facing as well as providing tools and a framework for accountability and collaboration in our family we can continue to use as both our kids get older and face new challenges. Rebecah always shared honest feedback and is very empathetic and non-judgmental with her coaching so each call with her was enjoyable and left us feeling more confident as parents. read more

Rebecah is an amazing parenting coach! She has a wealth of knowledge from her many years of experience as a teacher, principal, and coach. She has been an invaluable resource, co-planning strategies and plans with our family. We would highly recommend Rebecah to anyone who could use help with strong-willed children! read more

Working with Rebecah has been a lifesaver for our family. Initially, when we first reached out to her, our six-year-old (now seven) was having frequent, intense physical tantrums that left our nervous systems fried and our family feeling disconnected and strained. I actually created a log of his tantrums - prior to working with Rebecah, we were averaging 10 tantrums per month (we're talking physical altercations that required one of us adults to put our bodies over our child to keep him from hurting us). Within a month of working with Rebecah, that dropped to 4, and since then (it's been 6 months), we've had maybe one (but even that has been at a much lesser degree than what we were previously experiencing). That type of progress was nothing short of miraculous, and it has completely changed our family dynamic for the better. During our eight-week course, she taught my husband and me how to give our child tools to regulate his emotions, take control over his own activities and outcomes, and she taught us how to work together to come up with solutions that work for all of us. She has so much experience working with children that she never seems phased by any of the issues we bring to her, and she always has creative and effective ways to help. While our family is no longer in "crisis" mode, we plan to continually check in with Rebecah because she is such a reassuring expert in our lives during a time that is fraught with lots of parental anxiety. We are so grateful to have found her help - she has truly created change in our family that will positively impact us and our children. read more

We completed Rebecah's 8-week program over the summer. Our son has both ADHD and Autism, and we needed some new strategies to help us deal with his periodic emotional outbursts, which sometimes turn physical and can be quite frightening. With Rebecah's help, we instituted some new processes that have helped us manage through some of those day-to-day frustrations we were struggling with. Rebecah is a great listener and her solutions feel very personalized, even though she is working from a framework she developed. The approach never felt cookie-cutter or like it was supposed to be "one size fits all", and my wife and I felt like she really took the time to understand our unique challenges. read more

We reached out to Rebecah because our 4 year old was on the verge of being "expelled" from preschool (again). We were truly at our "wits end" with his behavior: oppositional, defiant, aggressive. Weekends were especially miserable and we felt trapped and overwhelmed by our son's outbursts. Rebecah worked with us, as the parents, to understand our child better and give us the skills we desperately needed to effect actual, meaningful change. Moreover, she met with our son's preschool director and staff to help them understand what he needed to be successful in school. Without Rebecah I am positive our son would no longer be attending school. Yes, there are so many self-help guides/websites/online programs out there that focus on parenting "deeply feeling kids". One size fits all advice was not helpful for our situation, and the one-on-one guidance we received was priceless. The Zoom meetings and weekend availability were also a huge bonus and so convenient. Thank you Rebecah! read more

We reached out to Rebecah because our 6-year-old suddenly became much more explosive when he became upset and did not get what he thought was fair. Rebecah's counseling was tailored to the specific needs of our son and his responses to our parenting, but she also has a good and clear structure in place to guide parents with children who are having difficulty regulating their emotions. We learned so much about how our parenting is being perceived by our children and how it differs from what we think we were giving, but I also gained a better understanding of my own emotional responses and feel like I grew as a person in the process. read more

We had a fantastic experience with Rebecah at Wits' End Parenting! Over the course of eight sessions, she provided invaluable support to both my wife and me as we navigated challenges with our child. Rebecah's expertise and compassionate approach helped us understand our child's needs better and equipped us with effective strategies. We truly appreciate her dedication and the positive impact she made on our family. Highly recommend her services. read more

Rebecah was so helpful in providing guidance for parenting our child. We implemented her suggestions and noticed positive changes almost immediately with our child's behavior. She is experienced, patient, and responsive. read more

I worked with Wits' End when... I was at my wits' end! I have a grown daughter who I raised with a certain paradigm, and then I found myself parenting twins who are entirely different from my eldest and I was completely underwater, but so reluctant to let go of my long-held parenting perspectives. But after 4 years of virtually zero cooperation from two high-energy kids, I was ready! I read a book that Rebecca wrote about a particular strategy, and implementing it was truly like watching a miracle unfold before my eyes- my kids started doing what I told them to! Later, I had one 1:1 session with Rebecca to try to get a handle on some other parenting challenges. If I were not low-income, I would do more. I have recently re-invested in the early strategy I learned (it's been five years and I had drifted into wishful thinking that I could revert exclusively to the "connection-based parenting" I'd used with my eldest), and once again, relief and so much progress! Even with my limited contact with Wits' End, I learned very critical things about parenting these particular kids in my care now, and I'm truly grateful!! read more

We found a recommendation for Wits' End Parenting through the Berkeley Parents' Network, and when I read the description of what they do, it was the best description of what we were dealing with that I had found, and I felt hopeful. Our son, who is a glorious and exuberant 5 year old, has BIG emotions that manifest in tantrums we can hardly handle, with throwing of heavy objects, destruction. They always pass, but we are depleted. In addition, we were stuck in a rut where we had to tell him to do -whatever- several times, often ending in anger, and it was frustrating and tiring. There are many things to recommend Rebecca, including her understanding and welcoming manner and nonjudgemental interaction. She has a ton of experience and a plan for whatever you're dealing with. But also, she really gets kids like ours. Here's an example that struck me. Talking to her about consequences was the first time I encountered an expert/advice giver who understood *exactly* why, in our case, giving time-outs was useless and made things worse. (Because for a kid like ours, his only thought is "how do I get out of here?" and he will actively and aggressively try to exit the room/pound on the door trying to do that.) So, did Rebecah's plan work? I will say this. When we implemented it faithfully and regularly, yes. We already feel a little overwhelmed with our lives (two parents working full-time) and weren't able to swing all the plans, all at once. But we have them, and continue to work on it. However, as I said, for the most part, trying it Rebecah's way has been effective where nothing else has been. The thing is, I've read or consulted ALL the books and approaches, but at some point, if your kid is a challenge, you need someone who can hear and understand YOUR situation and give advice/plans targeted specifically for you. That's what you're paying for, and Wits' End delivers. We completed our first series of sessions, and plan to continue to have sessions with Rebecah, less often, but still regularly. read more

Wits' End Parenting helped our family set up better communication and processes with our two young kids. The rules and consequences that had worked for our family when our kids were younger were no longer working for us. After only one or two sessions, our kids were already getting less frustrated with us and there were fewer tantrums. Now kids and parents are on the same page with rules and consequences and our days are much smoother. We completely recommend Wits' End to your family! read more

We are so grateful that we found Rebecah! We were really struggling with our 4 year old's behavior, and I really was starting to feel hopeless. After our initial meeting with Rebecah, we decided to work with her for the full 8 sessions. It was such a relief to talk to someone who really understood what we were going through and gave us actionable advice that really worked. We were sort of in disbelief at first at how well her suggestions seemed to help things. Not only did Rebecah give us tools to work with, she also normalized our experience at a time when we felt very alone in our struggles and gave us a much needed confidence boost in our roles as parents. She is extremely knowledgable, easy to talk to and helpful. I wish she'd write a book so I could refer to her wisdom whenever the need arises ! read more

Rebecah seems to have an endless bag of tricks that work WITH children instead of ON them. We toyed with the idea of working with Rebecah for a long time before taking the plunge. We weren't really at our wits end with our 4 year old but we also felt like it could be easier for everyone and we were frustrated with the one-size-fits-all courses that we had taken online. We just wanted to know what would work with OUR kid. The first system we tried to help our eldest be more kind to her younger sibling worked like magic. It not only gave us a clear path for consequences, but it actually seemed to change their relationship and bring out the sweetness between them that I knew was there! Not everything worked as magically as that first system but that alone was worth its weight in gold and we learned principals that can be applied to all our tough moments. Before starting to work with her, I worried that we would be expected to parent in ways that felt out of our comfort zone but her suggestions were always respectful to both parties and often looking at problems in ways we never would have thought of. It's also nice to know that she is out there and available if we are in a particularly tough spot again in the future. read more

Wits' End Parenting is a fantastic resource. Rebekah is professional, able to communicate between spouses efficiently and effectively while giving tools to use with our children. Rebekah was also able to work with our children as well, keeping things light and fun while skill building. She helped with shaping accountability for behavior and designing a family communication system that includes all members but helps the parent keep their power. I highly recommend her programs. read more

Rebecah did a great job giving us tools and strategies for increasing harmony in our family of 3 young boys. She's both pragmatic and principled and was willing to work, learn, and iterate as she helped us solve the challenges facing our family. Highly recommend read more

Rebecah is phenomenal, attentive and responsive with great patience and nice balance of letting kids be kids while holding empowering boundaries. Of course, like every parenting program, there are moments of feeling like the approach is a one-size-fits all and Rebecah was able to personalize the curriculum and follow up to ensure what we were learning was applicable to our family. Her use of stuffed animals to model example conversations was excellent with the kids and appreciated by the adults! I recommend Wit's End! read more

Rebecah knows her stuff. Especially for our spirited 10 yo boy. Overall he is a very good kid but has a lot of problems with impulse control and back talk. She gave us a plan that worked really well for him. It gave him a sense of control for him, fostered his independence and most importantly got his behavior right back on track literally by the count of 3 without yelling. We had tried numerous different methods before including 1-2-3 magic but the beauty of Rebecah's positive discipline method is that she focuses on motivating kids rather than threatening them. She always gives them something to work for so that they don't give up. She gave us a solid script for decreasing sibling fighting which puts the problem solving back on the kids to have them work out their own issues. She also helped us realize that for our kids to appreciate more, they need to contribute more to the family so they need to do chores/work at home which really takes the load of us. She also made us realize how we talk to our kids is how they will talk to us (obviously but hard to figure out how to stop when you are losing your mind). You do need to be consistent and work hard to get results but it does set up for a much better home life if you do! read more

My spouse and I have a very spirited and passionate 6 year old, who has a fairly different personality than both of us. We got to the point where we felt we had tried many many things but we were simply flummoxed about how to deal with various behavioral issues that came up and seemed to be getting worse and taking over the whole house. I was indeed at my wits end when I decided to give this a try when my spouse suggested it. It was so worth it. Rebecah offered tailored solutions for how to deal with behavior issues that neither my spouse nor I would have come up with on our own, and her solutions actually worked! Almost immediately, we saw improvement in our child's behavior. Not only did he behave better (which vastly improved my and my spouse's day-to-day moods/lives), but he himself got happier and seemed to be growing. Rebecah is super easy to work with. She never tried to psychoanalyze my kid; rather, she offered solid solutions for how to deal with behavior issues that arose, which is exactly what I wanted. And we learned a great deal too about how to set up a foundation for dealing with and talking about issues that are sure to come up in the future. Looking back, I realize that I didn't have all the tools in my parental toolbox to figure out how to deal with my kid's behaviors, and Rebecah was essentially the tool lending/teaching library, lending a helping hand to teach me new tools and how to use them. I'm glad I invested in the tools I need to be a better parent to my spirited little one. read more

We felt relieved and supported in our work with Rebecah. She was not fazed by any outrageous thing we reported our kids did and she offered a framing and direction that felt comforting. While she has her approach, she's also very willing and ready to help you customize if certain aspects just don't fit for you. We got a follow up email each session about what we had agreed to do/focus on and this made the work really practical and doable for us. We have seen big changes and have gained some skills that have made our house happier! read more

Working with Rebecah to help our family find a better way of communicating was simply fantastic. Rebecah Freeling is a MIRACLE WORKER! Our almost 5 year old child has been intense since day one, but things really reached a fever pitch during the early months of the COVID lockdown when we were all trapped at home together and we welcomed a new baby to boot. The child was miserable and so we were we. We finally started working with Rebecah in April of 2021, and the past three months have been life-changing. Applying what we have learned has completely changed our home life and our parental relationships with our intense child. Rebecah's services are worth every penny. My only regret is that we didn't hire her years ago! read more

Rebecca is a life saver. Wit's End is exactly where we were when we sought help. Like us, you've probably read all the parenting books, listened to the podcasts, tried everything, yet still, here you are. The reason it's not working is you need a battle-tested professional who can give you tailored advice to you and your child. That's what Rebecca is. She delivered for us and she will for you too. Her experience shows. She is compassionate, patient, and professional. The difference we have seen in our family after working with her is astounding. Does a peaceful, harmonious house seem like a fantasy at this point? Make it a reality and call her. read more

We are so grateful to have found Rebecah! We have a strong-willed three-year-old whose behaviors were becoming increasingly explosive and violent and we were at a loss as to how to deal with them. Time at home and out and about was stressful as we were always waiting for the next shoe to drop (which could happen at anytime!). We didn't know if we were being push overs or not sensitive enough to his needs. This feeling of having no clear direction and seeing no consistent results had us feeling very defeated and unhappy. Rebecah was the reassuring and never judgemental professional we needed to help us realize we are not bad parents; we just had to better understand our son's temperament and what works (and doesn't work) with kiddos like ours. She clearly knows and loves tricky kids and shares her knowledge with the perfect blend of humor and empathy. We loved that Rebecah had an overall plan that would help us get from point A to point B, but that she tailored the steps along the way to match our unique situation. She had suggestions about how to approach every single issue we brought up to her and so many were things that we would have never thought of on our own. They worked! And all are things that we can continue to incorporate into our life as our son grows up. We understand our child so much better now and he is more confident and peaceful. Having a clear direction moving forward makes a world of difference--as does knowing Rebecah is always there if we need some guidance along the way. We wholeheartedly recommend Wit's End Parenting. Thank you, Rebecah! read more

We were in hell before getting some parent coaching from Rebecca. Getting out the door was an impossible task in the mornings. Most evenings would end up with half of the family in tears. We suffered from dreaded and endless dinner times, explosive meltdowns, and nothing was working on our kiddo from parenting books we had read. We worked with Rebecah who taught us how to take the power away from nasty meltdowns, institute rules that made sense with simple consequences, and walked us through how to involve the kids in becoming part of the solution. The family dynamics have really done a 180 and we are back to enjoying our time together. We feel really good about the tools we learnt to continue to solve family conflicts as they arise read more

Rebecah is great. We have a tricky situation involving our 9 year old who is twice exceptional being really smart, but also often feeling down. Rebecah really gave us a practical set of tools and tips for how to work together with both our kids and give them a sense of independence and input. Participating together to make rules and suggestions has been a big change. Instead of fighting over the same things (eg. putting away shoes, or doing homework) we put in place a set of rewards and consequences using Rebecah's family meeting/agreement system and it's helped us a ton. Now both kids are asking for family meetings so we can all agree on the best steps to move forward. Definitely worth getting Rebecah's help whether or not you are at wit's end. read more

Rebecah knows what she is doing. Her advice brought calm to our household after 5 years of chaos. She was able to get to the heart of any issue we brought up and prescribe an approach that addressed issues directly in a foundational way. We've sought help from others before but the advice we got was always a little divorced from the reality we were experiencing and just did not apply to a strong-willed child. She knows these types of kids through and through. Her positive attitude is also something worth mentioning. She's able to impart that constructive attitude even in the midst of the most trying circumstances, when emotions are hot and things feel hopeless!
