From the moment…read morewe arrived, it was clear that their mission to rescue and care for farm animals in need is carried out with dedication and genuine compassion. The animals at Reject Ranch are not just living beings but are treated with the utmost respect and kindness they deserve. Each animal has a unique personality, and interacting with them was a delightful experience that melted our heart. It was wonderful to see how well they were cared for in such a loving environment. A special mention goes to Kady, who was incredibly informative and helpful throughout our visit. Her knowledge and passion for the animals and their well-being were evident, making our interaction both educational and enjoyable. Her kindness allowed us to connect with the resident animals in a meaningful way. Meeting these loving creatures entirely altered my perception of farm animals and emphasized the importance of empathy and compassion for all living beings. We left Reject Ranch with a renewed sense of purpose and a desire to contribute to their mission. I wholeheartedly recommend visiting Reject Ranch. It's a place that enriches your understanding of animal welfare and inspires continuous support. We look forward to returning and continuing to support their wonderful cause, as once you meet these incredible animals, they stay in your heart forever."

One of the volunteers will meet with you to unlock the gate and show you around. Volunteered w/ my coworker to help Helping Hands Pantry, specifically the gardening area. Their broccoli was ready to be harvested! One of the volunteer POCs, Paul, was kind enough to meet with me to explain the whole process. I've never harvested broccoli so this was a cool experience. All tools (knives, gloves, crates) are provided. My coworker, her daughter and I harvested 12 full crates of organic broccoli. Experience: I had never been to this location but I needed to drop off some donations. This location is a lot smaller than some of the other locations I have been too, but I will say they seem to be the most organized. I was able to get in and out, however the only thing I didn't like about this location is that since they are so small they can't take large donations. I tried to leave a storage bin and they almost didn't accept it because they didn't have anywhere to put it. I also wish they had a backdoor entrance for donations like other Goodwill locations.

I live in Orange County and visit family near Loma Linda and make time to drive through Oak Glen and hike with my dog and cat at the Wildlands Conservancy. This is such a magical place and brings me much peace. It is beautiful, peaceful and from the tall sequoias to the tropical rainforest like trees, wild birds flying and chirping through them, sound of the woodpeckers and the fog rolling over the lake, it feels like a fairy tale. My pets love hiking here as well. Both entrance and parking at the Conservancy are free. It is very family and pet friendly with a petting zoo and food stands toward the other side as you drive in. There are also areas with picnic tables near the trails. The trails are very scenic and fairly easy with a portion that is somewhat steep which I would consider slightly moderate but not difficult. I highly recommend taking the time to visit this hidden gem.
