Our family has lived in this valley for 32 years this past September. We have helped with food…read morefundraisers, turkey handouts at Thanksgiving and toy handouts at Christmas. We have sent families, people who have had devastating and unexpected emergencies to this pantry, and they are treated with such kindness and dignity. We have watched the communities needs grow so much over these past 32 years as the community has become more and more reliant on this pantry for monthly and emergency food needs . We have recently seen and helped move this pantry into another new location. Many don't know, but this place is run almost exclusively by volunteers, who do this out of the goodness and love in their hearts. We cannot say enough, good things about how dedicated, compassionate and hard-working the volunteers of this place are. They truly are the heart of this place.

Which then they tell you to get everything and make appt for Friday. If you are looking for help same day even though you have ID and mail proving address and even income proof, this is not the place for you. How they don't understand that birth certificates , passports are not something the poor have at hand and needing food does not mean you can wait till end of week. They may however give you a bottle of water while filling out form in car before you realize they won't be helping you that day

I have to say it's your persistence and a special call from Jocelyn several years ago that led us to connect with our forever family. Jocelyn said the three kids were perfect for us and I was like, "Oh no! We don't want three!!". In the end, my husband convinced me we should give it a try and I'm so extremely thankful that we did. After rejecting placement I called Jocelyn back to say we would accept the placement and she was so very gracious and reassured me we were making the right choice. Through the ups and downs our three children that ACOA introduced us to have been such a blessing. One of the volunteers will meet with you to unlock the gate and show you around. Volunteered w/ my coworker to help Helping Hands Pantry, specifically the gardening area. Their broccoli was ready to be harvested! One of the volunteer POCs, Paul, was kind enough to meet with me to explain the whole process. I've never harvested broccoli so this was a cool experience. All tools (knives, gloves, crates) are provided. My coworker, her daughter and I harvested 12 full crates of organic broccoli. To anyone reading this...please go to their website and sign up for a volunteer spot. This would be perfect for a school or work team building event. I challenge you to help out your local community! :) I will leave you with this... self-love is like gardening. Take time to plant yourself in sunlight and speak kind words to yourself. I came with my Mom as she came to register for the Beaumont run. The young lady at the counter was amazing, super friendly and professional. Unfortunately, her male coworker had some serious stank face. The dude acted like he owned Beaumont and looked us up and down. I hate when people have low self esteem and take it out on others. Albert Chatigny is free to visit and has plenty of parking. However, I saw many cars waiting in the wings as community events are very popular. It's nice to see community members value their local hubs.

When we first moved to Beaumont and the kids were small we came here for the monster mash at Halloween. It was a fun, free event that the kids got to play games and earn candy and surprises. We have come for events like building your own stuffed animal, and our little loved it! We also come here for the volleyball league, and way back when we came for toddler soccer. With the exception of an employee who no longer runs the volleyball program, everyone who we have encountered has been very helpful and friendly. There are always fun events going on as well as blood drives. They have all kinds of flyers on the desk for all kinds of events going on, definitely something for everyone!

This place is such a blessing ! the people are…read morecompassionate and very helpful. i'm so grateful the staff at LLU medical center mentioned this place and we were able to get in touch with a social worker to refer us. it's walking distance from the hospital so we were able to be in the NICU with our son everyday until he was able to come home. not having to worry about where we'll stay while our son was in the NICU was such a relief! they have a huge kitchen with pantry and refrigerator access, dining area, outdoor play area, grill area, laundromat on site and multiple sitting/lounge areas. their are also people (i think counselors ) available to help get you through whatever it is your family is going through. finance options are amazing and extremely affordable to all. they are very strict about entry access and house rules which are great and intended to keep everyone safe. This place made all the difference and allowed us to be close to our son during such a difficult time.

We got to stay there for free, which was incredible due to being right across the street from our son in the NICU. The staff there were kind and very empathetic to our situation, and we got to meet other parents/families who were going through similar struggles. It's a place most people don't know fully about, but when you or someone you know has a child in the NICU, it's amazing that there is this place called the Inland Empire Ronald McDonald House; a place to call home away from home.
