I had a very last minute suit jacket alteration for an event that I needed with a next day turnaround time and they were absolutely great! I called them the morning before I needed my jacket's sleeves shortened, asking if it was something they could accommodate before the next afternoon. They said they could easily do it and to come in whenever I could that day. I dropped my jacket off in the afternoon and it was done and ready to pick up first thing the next morning. I would highly recommend Wichita's Alterations to anyone who needs a quick turnaround on an alteration! They were so accommodating and even though I dropped it off last minute, I had my jacket back the very next day, as promised. read more

My daughter brought her very simple wedding dress here for alterations. The dress has no lace, no embellishments, no train, no tulle. She simply needed her straight hem taken up by a couple of inches. They did a terrible job in every sense. The hem was not only very uneven, but they left the front longer than the back. They also left the thin lining longer than the dress itself and showing from underneath. I think the pictures tell the story best. I had to take it to another alterations place to repair what could be repaired. They took in the bodice well enough. Please think twice before you go here. read more

If your aunt opened an alteration store, this would be it. Fabulous team of ladies working here, always packed to the brim with orders but still manage to get yours done in time. I have had a few things hemmed here and I think it took them less than a day. They can also upgrade buttons / zippers; they outfitted my favorite shorts with a sturdy zipper and they hold up amazingly now. 10/10 denton institution that won't charge you an arm and a leg. read more

I am thoroughly disgusted with the alterations that were done to my senior prom dress. They had my dress for over 3 weeks. Although I was a difficult customer asking for the dress to be shortened, and sleeves be added to my sleeveless prom dress, the dress is unacceptable. The dress has several layers and 3 outer layers of tool, followed by a liner, 2 layers of mesh, and then a final liner. Every single layer on the dress is uneven and butchered. With a few days left for prom I am devastated. This shop has ruined my senior prom because I cannot wear the dress without falling when I specifically asked them to take enough off that I would not fall. I am devastated and will not ever be recommending this location to friends, family or anyone in general. read more

I don't even know what to say... I just paid for a pair of pants and a dress that I had shortened over $50! At any other alterations place, I would have paid half of the price for the same work. When I asked why it is so expensive the lady at the checkout had the audacity to start arguing with me and how it is my fault because I had not asked or she claimed that I had not asked how much it was going to be. However at the same time, she says that she would have not known how much money it would have cost anyways... there are no prices listed anywhere in the store, and apparently nobody could've told me before how much money it would have cost. She said, "you people" don't care how much stuff cost anyways... Who is "you people"? Americans? White people? Who is you people? Women with blond hair? Then she also told me, that "people like me" buy cheap clothes and then want to have it altered cheap... It doesn't work that way! My dress cost over $200 when I bought it and my pants were $80 so I don't think those were extremely cheap clothes. What rude customer service. I am outraged!!! I will never come here again and I will discourage every other person from coming here as well. Especially, if you are a blond, blue-eyed, white woman because obviously "us people" aren't welcome! read more
