This place has went downhill over the past few years. The staff is rude and the pizza is mediocre at best. From what I've heard, the wife took the business from her ex husband in a divorce and she is clueless about how to run a business. $26 for a 2 topping pizza is insane. I asked for there to be char ion the crust and it came out flimsy as a pancake. We WILL NOT be going back. It's a shame because it used to be really good. We have been here several times with absolutely no problems at all plus the food is good. You can take out or eat there too. There are not to many pizza places you can sit down and eat at here in Ocala. They also have other Italian food as well. I like their pizza and calzones plus the garlic knots are great. read more

Wiseguys was widely known as one of the better pizza places in ocala. The staff is very nice and friendly and service when dining in is good. But i have to be honest, the pizza has gone down the last year in my opinion. If i ordered pizza to go 10 times this last year 9 out of the 10 times they forgot to add garlic spread to the crust. The pizza for the most part has just been ok and we have been going to other lesser known places for our pizza fix. This sucks cause we're literally live 5 minutes away from wiseguys. This week we ordered meatball parmesan and a pizza to go, against my better judgment, but another party wanted something close and fast so we picked up a pizza to go for lunch. The meatball parm was nicely bread and cheese with some meatballs. Good thing we checked the pizza before leaving because they once again forgot the garlic on the crust. Get home and dug in and the pizza seemed a little under cooked and very limp. You couldn't hold up a slice to fold and eat without everything sliding right out. We endured it and to make matters even worse my stomach was tore up later that night and next morning. I'd like to think this is a one off bad experience which can happen at the finest restaurants, but the attention to detail when placing an order is terribly lacking. At this point i don't see myself going back anytime soon but who knows. read more

We had been searching and running out of time to find someone to make sandwiches for our Christmas dinner. After a large traditional Thanksgiving meal, we wanted something different. I just happened to mention what i was looking for to Brooke and she assured me it was something they could do for us. Well....they certainly did! They made Italian, Turkey, Ham and Roast Beef subs for us. All the trimmings( lettuce, tomatoes. pepperchinis, black olives, banana peppers, as well as all of the condiments such as oil and vinegar, mayo and mustard were provided on the side so the sandwiches did not get soggy. They were perfect. We had Tortelloni soup and subs for lunch and the subs were a big hit! I highly recommend Wiseguys for any get together you are planning, ours went without a hitch! This should not be hard... make some dough, add some sauce and cheese and bake. How this place can make such a tasteless floppy slice is shameful. They close when they are supposed to be open, without any reason. I don't see this place lasting. Hopefully someone else will come in and make a good pie. Hopefully. When we want good pizza, we order from Wiseguys. Our usual order is a pie with mushrooms and sausage. Tonight we changed it up by ordering a white pizza with spinach and mushrooms. Delicious! Speaking of COVID, none of the cook crew was wearing masks. The front staff had them on... under their chins. It's like it's some type of joke. The person who took our take out order on the phone said it'd be 40 minutes for two pizzas. My wife showed up on time then had to wait another hour to get our order. The garlic butter crust we ordered apparently tastes like regular crust. Faults: 1. Be honest about wait times. 2. Do what you say you'll do - 40 minutes is 40 minutes. 3. Buy another pizza over - you need at least two. 4. Don't rush the orders - quality over speed works every time. 5. Make sure the crust is cooked. I mean, c'mon. Everything seemed rushed. Too many take out orders and sit-in orders for one over to handle. BUY ANOTHER OVEN. TAKE YOUR TIME. It'll pay off in the long run. read more

This restaurant entrance was pretty nice, with a very inviting entrance that definitely caught the eye of my friends. I entered the place with my party of 3 (including myself) and the COVID-19 seating arrangement was pretty standard and socially distanced (especially in comparison to other restaurants I've been to recently). We were seated by a lady that I don't remember the name of (she was put to get us seated quickly.) She gave us a few menus and asked for drinks before kindly leaving. As my party was planning our meals, we were greeted by our new server Aubrey, who helped us get our drinks since she just got there and helped us out with choosing dishes that would be best for us. But as we placed our orders and she left, she quickly came back to our table to inform us about the long wait times on pizzas and garlic knots (since it was a Friday special). Even though our party was frustrated and had to choose a item from the other menu, she was extremely kind & compassionate the entire time. One of the best customer service people I've ever been served by in my life! I decided on getting the Philly Cheese Steak sandwich (or a similar product, don't remember the names well!) With some fries and garlic knots. The food was extremely solid and had great texture/flavor. The garlic knots definitely are the bar in my opinion for overall quality and taste, definitely try them out! The fries and sandwiches were very solid as well, but definitely not something I was looking to eat at that time. Placed an order for pick up. When I went to pick the order up, I was told cash only, which I thought was pretty bad. They could have mentioned that when I placed the order. Who carry's cash anymore! I ordered two chicken parmesan subs. The buns were rubbery and it was more of a bread sandwich than a chicken sandwich. They meat didn't even cover the bun. For ten bucks you should certainly get a more packed sandwich!! When we first moved to the area three years ago, the food was pretty good, but things have certainly changed. I'll start off by admitting that I'm not a big fan of pizza (I know, I know). That said, this place is awesome. My family went for the first time this past Friday. We had 2 orders of the meatball appetizer, mozzarella sticks, garlic knots, 10 wings and an 18" pizza. Everything was phenomenal! Granted, I only had one slice but everything was delicious. Between the four adults there was only 3 slices of pizza left to take home to the kids. The restaurant is very clean and our server (unfortunately, I didn't get her name) was amazing. I just ordered from here from Postmates because I was referred from someone to try. I am unable to drive there because I am 5 months pregnant and also have a 5 year old. We were so looking forward to trying you out. First problem was it took 2 hours, then the order came and it was cold, my salad that was a $6 salad was a tiny box with shredded lettuce and a tomato and cucumber. Definitely not what I ordered. Then the rolls that were described were tiny and there was no oregano ranch like described. The pizza was ok but definitely needed time in the oven which now put my daughter and I eating at almost 8 o'clock. To follow up I did not get my fresh homemade lemonade my daughter begged for. Just moved recently to the Ocala area. Figured it was time to try out some of the pizza places around here. Ordered our usually large cheese pizza with with two toppings, as well as an order of garlic knots. We brought our order home, and I would have to say the pizza was above average at best. Sauce lacked depth and could have been a little sweeter. The main thing that caught me off guard was the garlic knots. They cost $4.99 for 6 of them and they were 2 inches wide each. So much smaller than we are used to for more money than we usually pay for 6-12 normal sized garlic rolls. Also, there was no real garlic present, just seemed like garlic butter under them. Today was the first day that I ever ate at wiseguys pizzeria. The food we had today was definitely not authentic Italian food. The garlic knots were a disgrace to the word not they were nothing more than biscuits with garlic and Parmesan and butter. I also had the steak and cheese hot sub which is nothing more than slices of melted mozzarella Over steakem slices you can get any grocery store. This salad while knowing exactly what we were getting was still kind of a disgrace to the word salad and Italian restaurant seeing how a salad should never have iceberg lettuce especially in an Italian restaurant. On the good side the servers were very well informed of their items and were very courteous and friendly. read more

This ma and pop pizza place is just what the dr ordered. Large calzones full for flavor. The large 18 inch pizza will feed a small army. The tomato bisque soup is to die for on a cold day. Decided to try wise guys to see if its like the 1 back home (Buffalo, Ny) its definitely not! We walked in to order and was able to order right away which was nice (but they weren't busy). When I ordered the meat lovers I said but no sausage, the kid taking my order said back no sausage and I replied correct no sausage. We wait the 20 minutes for the pizza, when it was ready we brought it home (15 minute drive). We finally get home excited to eat, open the box and there's freaking sausage on the pizza!!! Again at wise guys ... it was hard to try something other than the pizza and wings, so I tried the cheese burger with fries, hoping it would be worth my while .... and when it came out ... I was surprised for the price witch was under 7 bucks.. huge burger lots of fries everything was fresh on the burger the letters were crips the tomatoes nice and ripe the patties was not over cooked it was all just right .... so wise guys is 2 for 2.... but I've been obsessing about the pizza and wings....mmmmmm... Best pizza in Ocala hands down!! Ordered the chicken Parmesan and the only disappointment was the size of the breast. It was tiny but delicious. Staff is always above and beyond friendly. I've ordered many pizzas coming home late right before closing(sorry) and they are always nice and welcoming.
