Tried Wiseguys in Ogden for the first time last night and it was excellent, laugh out load fun! We've been to the salt lake locations many times and even Orem, but missed out on Ogden and not sure why. We were feeling comedy and the other locations were sold out. So Ogden it was. It's located on historic 25th Street, lots of good restaurants within short walking distance. Even a country music concert at the park across the street. Lots of foot traffic along 25th Street, it was a fun atmosphere. Next time we'll go early and hit up a restaurant before the show. Even though it's located right on 25th Street you enter from the alley way on the east side. Prices were good, comics were fantastic, food was just okay, but not what we came for. Small intimate setting, maybe holding 100 to 200 people max, no bad seats in the house. Seating is first come first served. We saw Alex Velluto and he was great. Even the opening acts, JD, Spence and one other were good. Not a cuss word spoken all night and very clean shows. The worst comment was from the audience. Boy oh boy how long I waited to visit this place!! I finally mustered up the courage when I saw one of my fave Lebanese comedian NEMR on the marquee. Did you know that Ogden has quite the comedy club community? I didn't. I arrived painfully early and expected a scarce crowd but come showtime there wasn't a single chair available. The emcee had a hilarious opening and the second opening comedian was the perfect balance of quirky and awkward. It's amazing how much the entertainers interact with the audience! NEMR, the comedian on tour, gave an unforgettable set! It was a memorable night for me. My sides are still hurting! Just an FYI... Beers are quite pricey and the food is just average but laughter burns calories. So, you work up an appetite. (Tip: Sit in the very front row. I DARE YOU!) read more

Funny, this place has been around a long time and we barely made our first trip here. Great location on the 2-5 drive and sitting near some great dining, drinking, and shopping venues, Wiseguys is in a good spot. Entrance is a little different and you actually enter down the alley to the east of the building. This shouldn't deter anyone and isn't exactly hard to figure out. I didn't know what to expect. I like funny things and I like funny people. Wiseguys provided both of those. For a VERY reasonable price we were afforded two comics (one local and one traveling) along with an extremely funny, extremely tattoo'd M.C. Since comedy is subjective, I'll just leave it at there are a lot of big names that have played here and will be coming back through, watch the schedule. The intimate setting was nice. There isn't a bad seat in the house and the close proximity to the comics makes it feel more like a personal joke between the two of you, something I liked. It does, however, encourage the knuckleheads in the audience to try their best to heckle. "Dear Knucklehead, you are not funny. Sincerely, everyone else that paid to get in the show." I'm sure management takes care of the real toolboxes but the comic on the night we visited did a great job dealing with them. Another great mention would be the food and beverage selection. Extremely affordable and a nice menu. Listening to the folks around me, the sandwiches and food were great. We had already eaten but did enjoy some chips and salsa with some cold beverages. Next time we'll know to just eat at the club and enjoy an inexpensive meal with the show. Looking forward to coming back to Wiseguys. I said I didn't know what to expect or if I would enjoy a live comedy show, but I did. The venue, I believe, had a lot to do with that. read more

We had a fabulous time! The comedians were very funny. The food was absolutely delicious! The only thing I didn't love was how long we had to wait for the waitress to come and take our order. We arrived an hour before the show so we could eat before it started but no one took our order for 45 minutes. And our food arrived right after the lights went out. It appeared as though maybe they were short staffed that night. And one of the kitchen staff ended up coming out to help. The food was delicious so I'll cut them some slack. Fun little comedy club, located on historic 25th street - Ogden Utah. The location is smaller in size, which makes it a more intimate setting, where you are close to the stage, regardless of where you sit. The stage is smaller and has a beautiful, brick wall backdrop; which is likely original from the old days. Though Ogden is not exactly the largest of city venues, it's impressive to see the level of talent that performs on their stage. The prices for tickets is reasonable; as is their prices on the menu, which include choices of appetizers, sandwiches, desserts, drinks, etc. At present, they require each attendee purchase a minimum of 1 item. Regardless of it being food or drInk. Root Beer floats are $3.50.... drinks range between $2.50 and $4.00. Absolutely... cheap for your experience. Well worth it, in my opinion. Be sure to find your way over there, for a fun filled night. read more

We decided to come here for a little something different on a Friday night and we weren't disappointed! The lineup was a pretty eclectic mix of styles and we got 4 different acts in one night. All were entertaining in some way or another. For the price I'm really pleased. I think we would have spent more going to see a movie. The menu is fine. Good snacks and nibbles. A limited selection of domestic beers and one local beer. But the food and drink are really just to round out the experience rather than be the main event so simple is ok. It's fun to have something like this so accessible, affordable, and enjoyable right here in Ogden. I'm definitely glad we decided to finally check this place out. read more

This emoji sums it all up: If you want to spend an evening feeling refreshed and full of happiness, Wiseguys is the place to go! I love comedy, but had never considered going to a comedy club. Boy, have I been missing out! My wife and I got there about 30 minutes early to a Saturday night show and found a table for two at the back. Everywhere else filled up pretty quick, so make sure you arrive early (especially if there are more than two of you). Our little table and seats were raised up so we had a nice view of the stage. I would bet most seats have good views though because the room isn't too big. Very intimate for sure. If you want to be a part of the show I would highly suggest sitting in the front row! There were three local openers before the main act and they were all hilarious! Of course, we jived with some better than others, but overall it was great. You are able to order food and the waitresses are pretty good to notice when you arrive. We had the spinach artichoke dip and root beer floats which were quite satisfying. They have everything from pizza to sliders to many different drinks. The service was great and they come through part way through the show to get your card for payment. Be sure to check out on their website the rating of each show so you don't get in over your head! read more

I've been to comedy clubs in thirteen states and two countries. This comedy club was almost adorable because the comedian was almost nervous to offend people. Every comedy club I have been to has a two drink minimum -- there was no such thing here, probably because it took me five minutes to find the alcohol on the menu, which was extremely limited and had NO wine and NO hard alcohol. Almost everyone ordered food, the show was quite short. The comedians were fun if you don't mind jokes about having children and sports. There was nothing non-politically correct said. read more

Nice spot for live comedy in historic downtown Ogden . . . Staff was very friendly, including server who was one of only two working a very full house on a Friday night . . . Show was excellent; comedy from four performers exceeded my expectations . . . headliner John Crist held the crowd for over an hour . . . Would give five stars if food were higher quality . . . I've been to a normal show and a hypnotist show and this place is full of laughs! My voice was sore the next day. My only complaint is that the drink menu is lacking. There's no wine choices, only beer and soda. read more

The food, drink, and comedians were great!! Spence Roper was the headliner. He is from Cache Valley, Utah and was hilarious!! I love the business model because you don't have to be 21 to go to the club. For young people on a date this is a great place to have dinner and be entertained. read more

She reserved the requested tables and replied promptly to our emailed questions. We have been to Wiseguys many time and always had a good time. Not a bad price for some pretty decent comics! I like that it's not so outrageously over the top raunchy too. I'd say it's about pg-13 in comparison to movie ratings. I wouldn't be afraid to bring my teenagers with me. Especially enjoyed Brad Bonner! read more
