Strongly Not Recommended. E3 appears to be primarily profit-driven, focused more on generic…read morehomework help than the meaningful, individualized academic support our family was seeking. We paid $500 per child for intake assessments, only to discover there was no immediate availability for actual instruction. Months later, when a teacher was finally assigned, we were told she was not the right fit and lacked expertise in the area our child needed most--ELA. Their communication was inconsistent, their promises misleading, and overall, the experience felt transactional rather than student-centered. Despite the polished sales pitch, our experience reflected a lack of professionalism, accountability, and genuine concern for our child's education. Be wary of vague assurances and shifting explanations--they always seemed to have an excuse but never a real solution. Ultimately, we found a far better alternative--a certified teacher at a local elementary school who specializes in ELA and comes to our home for a quarter of the $150 per hour E3 charges. Since working with her, our son has made tremendous progress and grown by leaps and bounds in his ELA skills. Save your time, money, and frustration--look elsewhere for real, caring, and qualified support.

It's great to have a trusted ally in her corner, working with her each week to get organized and prepare for future projects. I've noticed it's helped her become less stressed as the weekend comes to a close and the school week looms and more confident. So glad we found e3!

This is a low to middle income joint, so it's not like a lot of us have a lot of choice on where to…read moretake our children, but if you can, avoid this place at all costs. They're already in trouble with the daycare licencing board (you can search the SD Tribune for the neglect that's going on there) and they're still just as negligent, despite continually claiming that they're "improving." My child has been bit more times than I can count. At one point, they said she had at 1:00 (one person said the morning) she had a fever and, in their words, "a scarily fast heartbeat," but they didn't call me until 2:30. They didn't think a child with a pre-existing condition (asthma) experiencing tachycardia and a fever was an urgent matter, apparently. She's come home with scratches all over her face. Her incident report said they were noticed when they were on the way back to the classroom and that she was observed playing with branches earlier. When I asked the next day why they would let her play with branches without watching her (she was 18-months-old) they changed their story to she ran into child-sized bushes and they saw it happened. It's horrible. This place is horrible. I wish I had the money to take her to a better place, a safer place. But I don't. And even though these guys are on probation, even though they continue to get citations, it's not likely they'll close down. So what will we have? Just kids that continue to get hurt. What's it going to take, ECCDC? What's it going to take for you to change and care? Clearly nothing. EDIT: The morning after I wrote this, they terminated her without warning. I was late to drop her off (9:30) and said that although she had breakfast, she'd probably be hungry. They told me that breakfast was from 9-9:30, so I had to go down to the kitchen, which was fine. And then the director Jim stopped me while we were waiting for food. He told me that he was "disturbed" by my post (meaning Yelp review) last night and so he was in the process of terminating Athena's contract. I said that I just felt like I wrote the truth and that they were negligent and changed their stories in many instances where my daughter got injured. He then told me I was negligent because I left her there - uh, ok. And then he changed the story that it was because they couldn't meet meet my daughter's needs or my expectations (of her having any supervision at all?). He also says that this happens at EVERY daycare, which I know to be not true since I'm not the only mom I know. And then he told me that they were on probation because of "people like you" who continue to report incidents to licensing. He also said I was "hiding behind social media" despite my many face-to-face meetings with teachers, him, and other staff to solve the problem of my child getting beat up by other kids and coming home with unreported bites and scratches. So, we'll no longer be going there because I wrote a negative yelp review telling the truth about their absolute lack of supervision and poor decision making. Time to find a better daycare, because I know they're out there. Julie (front desk), Robert (front desk), Sam (supervisor), and teacher Nikki are the highlights of this place. May they find better places to work. I appreciate their kindness towards me and Athena. They did their best with a daycare organization with many, many problems. To the anonymous poster, "Germaine," there weren't children on the playground at the time. Yes, I did say "bullshit" and I was upset. I'm sure you would be, too, if your child who had been neglected and beat up at daycare and was terminated suddenly because of a yelp review on a day you had to work. That's cool that the daycare is working out for you - really, I'm glad - but to name me personally when you haven't walked a day in mine or my daughter's shoes and act like you know what's going on is, well, a little odd. Also, hi, Jim.

I think students have to learn customer courtesy we dont hang up on paying clients. I can't even begin to tell you how much you they have helped our family. With two UC degrees, I thought I was pretty smart until I tried to help my kids apply to colleges, and then apply for Financial Aid. Was I wrong!!!! They filled the void of both high school counselors and financial aid counselors. Each of my kids started out really knowing very little about where to apply, what their real chances were of getting in, what a particular college would be like, etc... CPS was able to build rapport with them and help them come to smart decisions on where to apply, how to set their expectations and then fill out the college applications. They went back and forth so many times helping with the college essays, what to put on the applications, etc. That in itself paid for the fee. Everything else was like icing on the cake. Also, let's face it, filling out the FAFSA is like doing your own taxes, you need to hire someone who knows what they are doing - and College Planning Source knows what they are doing. There is no question that they were able to significantly help us reduce the cost of attendance for our kids. I tell everyone that I know with prospective college students that they need to call t right away. Working with them was one of the best decisions I have ever made.
