I recently moved to Roselle and was looking for a new dentist and Wolski had great reviews online. However, now looking at them closer, I think any new reviews that were bad, were removed. Years ago there are reviews warning about the insane prices, and sadly I missed these. I called and asked them if they were in my network and provided my insurance. They said yes- which I just found out was a LIE. My first visit I made an appointment for a cleaning. They did x-rays and then I was told I would have to return for my cleaning...which I have never ever experienced and I have been to over 4 dentists-due to relocations. I was bothered because I specifically made the appointment for the cleaning and a possible cavity. I was charged an insanely high price for x-rays and told I had to pay then and there. I told them that I always waited to get billed to my address, after insurance has gone through and made adjustments. I was told that's not how they do it because "You cant just go to the store and leave with free milk". Which made no sense to me because I have insurance and have ALWAYS paid later. I returned for my cleaning a month later, and they fit me in for a cavity as well because I reminded them it was bothering me. He charged me $395 for a cavity!! My insurance covers 80% but I still have never been charged such a high price. I realized there was no negotiated rate and that's when my suspicions kicked in. I was told to pay for my cleaning too...which I said no to because my insurance covers it at 100%. I still left the office paying $175 for a cavity because of how high the charge was. After talking to my insurance, I found out he is not in my network and I was lied to. I am beyond upset at this treatment and on top of it was in pain for over a week from a filling, and I still cant bite down properly. I told him this before leaving and he told me to come back AGAIN because "it was probably just the numbing cream" (which he charges $82 for by the way). I didn't even go in to get it fixed because I feel completely taken advantage of with this entire situation. I plan to go somewhere else actually in my network where I will pay a quarter of the price.

While doing your dental work, she is constantly concerned about your welfare and comfort, is very friendly, professional and courteous to her staff as well as the client. I had a particularly difficult dental problem which she was able to diagnose and treat when my regular dentist wasn't able to find anything. Dr. Visco treated me in the morning, and she took the time out of her busy day to call me later in the evening to find out how I was doing and wanted to know if the antibiotics were working and if I was in any pain. In approx 2008 or 2009 I had a crown put on by Dr. Kao. A crown which he made himself with a…read moremachine he recently bought in his office. 1 year ago the crown crumbled and when I called the dentist they said the crown is only guaranteed for 90 days.......LOL. I paid him probably in the range of $500-800 only to have the crown crumble 8 or 9 years later and then had to pay another $850 to have it replaced by another dentist. They didn't have any sympathy and didn't even offer to check it for free. They said that I should be wearing a night guard and because I don't wear my night guard enough that's why it crumbled. I then went to Dr. John Ford in Elgin who basically laughed at Dr. Kao's stupid response. I moved to Chicago and now have another awesome dentist, Dr. Krinsky, who also thought it was bizarre for not wearing a night guard to be the cause of a crown crumbling. Did I mention Dr. Kao is right across the street from the adult bookstore? He also does the cleanings himself, which is never a good sign. Good dentists don't spend their time cleaning teeth, they spend their time doing fillings, examining x-rays, doing crowns and other dental work. A good dentist will always have a dental hygienist. Another sign of a credible dentist is one who doesn't have Saturdays - or just one Saturday a month. A good dentist has a LOT of patients and therefore can be choosy about his/her hours. Also Dr. Kao tried to get me to get some braces even though my teeth are straight. Because I have a very slight overbite. He said that's why when I bite into a sandwich, the lettuce always slides off. Big whoop. So my lettuce slides off. My teeth are beautiful. Do NOT go to Dr. Kao. He just thinks in Dollar signs. My other dentists also laughed at the over bite thing. LOL. Also - did I mention he's down the street from the brothel on Lake Street?

At the end of the day, there are plenty of competent endodontists in the area; the hassle, unprofessionalism, lack of integrity, and surprise bills are not worth a visit here. I had a root canal done in December and paid over 1k for my patient portion on the date of service. Few months later, I received another bill for over 1k (insurance portion). After trying to contact billing multiple times (they are always unavailable), they said that the insurance denied the claim for a reason that is unknown to the office and they had never seen before. I asked why they didn't investigate further why the claim was actually denied before handing me another bill, and only then they said they will look into it and get back to me a few days later. That was a month ago, and I just tried calling back to speak with billing for an update since they don't reply to emails. The front office (again) transferred me to a voicemail, and I have not been able to get a hold of billing. Every time I call the front office, they transfer me to the billing voicemail without even picking up the phone.
