Well, this place is certainly no exception. The pub itself was pretty good as well, though there wasn't any really particularly interesting beers on tap, which was a shame considering that it does happen to be in one of the older suburbs. Still, the pub is quite nice, and the staff are quite friendly as well, so it is certainly a place to check out.

We were really just looking for somewhere to stay that was clean and close to the pubs where we'd be spending the evening, and the Inn was exactly that. The manger, Trevor, was very friendly and helpful and didn't seem to mind that we were a bit noisy and rambunctious when we were playing some bachelorette games. The rooms were tidy and clean, the bathroom well-stocked and comfortable, and one of the rooms had a small kitchen and full-sized fridge, which was really handy for us (cocktail making and such). In all, an affordable option for staying right in the middle of Victor, particularly if you have a few extra people in the room(s) to share costs.

I have been to Woodstock on several occasions and the most recent was for the wedding of two very good friends. I have spent a great deal of my professional life organising functions - weddings being the most high pressure of these events (even the meekest girl has the ability to turn into a raging bridezilla) and I was absolutely floored with the organisation, affability and professionalism of Zak the restaurant manager and the woodstock crew. We had an alternate drop menu, chosen by the bride and groom. Every dish was delicious and maintained a very good standard (not quite as good as their unique, rustic a la carte menu, but it's impossible to acheive the same level of finish en masse). The restaurant at woodstock is called Coterie and is in the unique semi circular building where the reception was held. The space features an open fire in the middle of the inner wall. On Friday evenings they do a pizza night, nom, nom, sundays they have live jazz and there are Llamas over the back fence! Great novelty factor. I would not hesitate to recommend woodstock as a must-do Mclaren Vale destination. If you're into rose - the Grenache rose is one of the best Reds - The stocks Shiraz is a boys fave my pick may be the Octogenarian, grenache tempranillo

This wildlife enclosure is located in Adelaide South Australia. When you first enter the compound you follow the path to a large enclosed bird atrium. There were so many beautifully colored birds flying about playing games with each other. One parrot even landed on my head! See posted picture. The birds were very friendly, and none of them pooped on me. I purchased a bag of kangaroo food and did not have to go far before I was being stalked by a mob of these cute creatures. I believe the groundskeeper said they house approximately 200 kangaroo. The kangaroos were free to roam the large property. They were very friendly, though the Park makes you sigh a liability waver just in case you get hurt. I got to pet and play with wallabies and a cute baby joey. If you want to pet a koala, make sure to look at the time on your program that tells you when they take him out. An interesting and kinda scary fact is that koalas, even though they are cute and cuddly, they do not like to be approached. They have very sharp claws and teeth. The keeper gives strict instructions to only pet the shoulder blade/back area because they have a bone plate there and they cannot feel you touching them. Urimbirra also has a large reptile exhibit. Other animals to see were Dingo, possum, alligator, deer, fox, sambar, wombat, and one of my favorites a Tasmanian devil. There is a small restaurant and gift area located at the entrance of the park. You can also pack a lunch and have a picnic with the wildlife. This was a big highlight on my trip to Australia. I have never been able to get so up close and personal with so many types of animals before.

I had the same surreal feeling when we visited Goolwa and spotted a handsome steamboat at the Goolwa Wharf. Although it wasn't operating as we dropped in on a non operating day, I was told by the Visitor Information Centre that this is the perfect cruise for family and little ones as the cruise tour was shorter compared to the others. $48 for a family of 4 is a bargain for an hour or 1.5 hour cruise along the River Port of Goolwa, barrage and under the Hindmarsh Island bridge. It's best to check their website for cruise dates. Bring a hat, splash some sunscreen and perhaps a cigar and relive those Tom Sawyer and Finn days!

I shared a room with my mum and we were pleasantly surprised. The area it's in is so beautifully quiet and quaint, we didn't mind at all that the room was a bit outdated. There was a fridge and coffee and thee facilities and a toaster in the room. No wifi as far as I could tell. The beds were comfy and the shower pleasant. Perhaps there may be a refurbishment in the planning as they were in the process of doing something to the reception. We were in room 2 which had a front and a back door. From the back, we had a lovely view of the water and then nothing for miles. We really enjoyed the peace and quiet. If you want a good value meal, go to the corio hotel in town. We had a front bar meal but I don't think the bistro was that expensive either and the salad bar there was great! $12,- 2pc battered fish and chips and salad and veg bar. I've had the corio burger there a few times on other occasions and I thing it's about $13,- so worth it and again, salad and veg bar.

It was only a short walk from were we'd be staying if we were at home, and it has the perfect spot on the beachfront. Recently my sister and her kids stayed here for a week, so I got the chance to experience it all over again. I think it says a lot when I get informed that they've started referring to it as the 'no-fun park'. Not a good indicator of a family holiday spot. It's mostly down to the fact that kids can't ride their bikes or really do much of anything around the cabins. I'm sure it's to keep noise down, but surely during the day a few kids having fun isn't going to be too harmful. The cabins are by no means luxurious, but they have everything you need. The park also has plenty of other facilities including a playground or tennis court if you do want to try and have some fun. The playground is mainly designed for younger children, but it's a blessing because the Moana Beach playground next door has to be one of the weirdest ones around. My favourite part would have to be checking out the awesome RVs that take up spots around the caravan park, who knew they could get that big! It's a fantastic location for enjoying Moana Beach during the Summer, maybe they just need to lighten up a little.
