I'm sure they're great if you can book them, but their website stinks. When I call there's a recorded message telling you to use the website, with no other options to speak to a representative. On the website there's no option to email or request a quote, just a link to "book now" that requires you to enter your credit card info, with no indication what the rates are or what the cancellation policy is. There is a list of rates for airports and sports venues, but I guess they don't want you to know what they'll charge for more complicated itineraries. Ridiculous. read more

I take back my great review of this company and won't ever use them again. Place has gone downhill. Today our driver caused us to miss our flight because he did not check traffic. He admitted he "thought it would be ok". He took us through a major construction zone. I contacted the company and they will do nothing to rectify this and tried to blame us. Apparently it's acceptable for their drivers to not check traffic or use a GPS with traffic. Terribly unreliable. As a side note, as stated in my previous review, we usually have a clean car/SUV but that was not the case today. As soon as I saw our car and driver I thought it was a different service waiting for someone else. Won't ever use them again. I do not recommend them. read more

I really enjoyed the quick booking process online, but the actual pick up at JFK was awful. My boss, the CEO of our company, ended up waiting in line and taking a cab. The driver, Luis, texted at 9:41 PM that he was "ready for your appointment..." My boss replied and said that he is in customs and should be out in 15 minutes. Once outside, he called Luis 5 times, but the phone line was busy and sent 3 additional text messages. He did not receive a single response. I have called WiroLimo for a full refund and have left several voicemails because no one picks up the phone. No one has returned my calls. This is disappointing because this company has such great reviews and a wonderful rating. My boss' experience doesn't reflect any of that. read more

Recently had the pleasure of bouncing around downtown NYC in the care of William Rodriguez. He provides a fantastic car service that is both professional and responsive plus he's so damn good natured. In sum: he is a fantastic driver. His SUV was clean and well cared for and as the owner of his limo service (he has 3 cars total) he provided that little bit of extra care only local business owners can. Next time I'm in town and need a car, you can bet I'm calling William. One thing to be aware of is a steep credit card surcharge (10%). I'd imagine you can bring a check or of course pay cash. Since I used to work for PayPal I know how small merchants are often gouged by banks when they try to accept credit cards, so I won't knock him for it. read more

A couple weeks ago I emailed William to ask if he'd have time to fetch my mom from JFK. He let me know he'd be happy to pick her up and I gave him Mom's mobile number and her flight information. He rang her as soon as she got off the plane and escorted her to his black SUV. When she arrived at the bar where my friends and I were waiting she was sitting in the front seat chatting him up as though they'd been friends for years. I kid you not, she hugged him goodbye before he drove off! Happy Mom = happy Miriam. I'll be calling William whenever either of us needs a ride to or from the aeropuerto from here on out. read more

A WORRY FREE AND PLEASANT EXPERIENCE! Over the years I've used various airport shuttle services with hit or miss results. I decided from my last Super Shuttle experience to NYC (a nauseating, high-speed experience from the airport and a 20 minute late for pick up to the airport) I would go with another service even if it costs a bit more. If you want a worry free and pleasant transport experience you will not go wrong with WiroLimo! I made reservations with William via his website once my trip was finalized- 5 months before my end of December trip. Within minutes I received a reply and within another few minutes the details for the pick up to and from La Guardia airport were solidified. I ended up changing departure hotels a few months later with ease. Shortly after landing I received a phone call from William welcoming me and letting me know he had a driver in the car waiting for me- a clean, WARM and welcoming sedan as it was about 19 degrees when we landed! Our group of 4 fit in nicely with all our luggage and we were transported to two different hotels by a pleasant female. We paid $65 ($55 for the trip and $10 for additional stop) for the trip not including tip. By comparison Super Shuttle would've packed us in a van for $52. WiroLimo was definitely worth the additional $3.50 per person! The return trip was just as worry free and pleasant. Our parties left at different times of the day, but we both were called a few minutes before the scheduled pick up time to let us know our driver was ready. Unfortunately, William and WiroLimo isn't in every city I travel in, but I know when I return to NYC there is only one choice with airport transportation for me. I needed a car service from JFK to Manhattan. Normally I would just take the subway, but traveling with my parents is a bit difficult, as they are getting older and slower. WiroLimo did a great job. My driver texted me the day before, and when I landed I received another text saying he's outside and to call or text when I pick up my bags. I had sent him a picture of me, so he could recognize me upon arrival. I wished he had done the same, but all he said is he was wearing a grey hat. Seriously, how vague can that be, especially if he's a driver! We found him without too many problems, and he was friendly, but not overly chatty. He did recommend some places to eat in Manhattan, one of which I did take his suggestion: Junior's for the cheesecake. Excellent pick, and it was as good as he said. The reason for not giving 5 stars is I never once spoke to a representative from WiroLimo. I called 4 times (mostly with anxious questions) and each time I was replied back via email only. Perhaps they prefer a paper trail to avoid miscommunications? It just seemed to impersonal, and I would have liked to have spoken to a "live" person at least once. Overall a good experience. If you pay by credit card, they add 20% but it also includes all the taxes and tip. I believe the cost from JFK to east Midtown was $96 using the credit card. Visiting New York for the first time can be scary when you have no idea what to expect. At first we were going to take a shuttle or taxi and decided to try WIROLIMO's services and I am so thankful we did. Our driver William (see my picture with him), checked in with us the day prior to our arrival to confirm our pick-up , which was so helpful when you are trying to pack and don't really have time to make sure all your arrangements are in place. Once we arrived, William was there waiting for us. Unfortunately, our luggages were delayed but he was very patient and considerate. William was very pleasant and professional. He gave us a lot of advice on where to go for night clubs and restaurants. He also new all the shortcuts (a plus). We immediately, booked with him our pick-up to go back to the airport as well. Once again Yelp steers me in the right direction. Not much else to say that hasn't already been said but I made a last minute request the night before we flew into JFK when I learned my sister(s) were also using them for a trip to a family wedding. The website was easy to use but does admonish that reservations should be made 24 hours in advance and I was just about 8 hours late. Crossing my fingers I made the request and woke up for an early cross country flight and received a cheerful confirmation text message from Carlos that he would be picking us up curbside later that day. Once we arrived the excellent service continued with a text checking on us once we were on the ground before we were even off the plane. He let us know what number placard would be in his car and we let him know where we were. It was less than a minute after we walked outside that he was there picking us up. The car was immaculate and Carlos was a friendly and articulate driver who visited with me on our way into the city. Later that night, coincidentally, he also picked up my sister and recognized her and asked if she also was there for a wedding. I had mistakenly thought my credit card payment included a 20 percent gratuity (it was less than that) so fortunately I just had my sister pass on a little more thanks $$ from our entire family for a smooth and easy experience. I used Wiro Limo twice during my NYC trip. My first driver, William, picked me up at Newark Airport. I gotta say, I never felt like first class anywhere, but Wiro Limo and their drivers made me feel like I was a first class passenger. Communication was great and the drivers were always on time to the dot. The second time I used Wiro Limo was a round trip to Citi Field for BTS's world tour concert and my driver Nicholas was simply incredible. He was on time to pick up and drop me off at the venue, but what really stood out with his service was when I was ready to be picked up when the concert was over. There were nearly 50,000 concert goers and leaving CitiField must have been a nightmare for everyone BUT ME thanks to Nicholas who provided great communication to let me know that he was waiting for me with his handheld device that displayed my name so that I could spot him right away. Once I found Nicholas, we walked to the vehicle (which had to be parked several meters away from the exit due to police closing down the roads) and I swear, it took about less than 10 minutes to get out of the chaos and traffic from the concert and on the freeway. I was highly impressed with Nicholas's ability to get us out of there and moving while so many other cars were all stuck in traffic--talk about first class!!! I highly recommend Wiro Limo and plan to definitely use them again anytime I am in NYC. Their online booking system is easy to use and if you need to change and update your reservation (which I did several times because of my schedule), you get a updated responses and confirmation within a few hours. My friends and I planned a girls' getaway to New York City, and we booked WiroLimo to and from JFK, plus a trip to the Botanical Gardens in The Bronx. On the day of the pick-up however I received a receipt in my email and my card was charged. I've still been unable to get in contact with this company. Great service and very patient with my many request. I booked a Suv for the week of my arrival. We had one person to drop out so I called and emailed to have the car downgraded to a sedan. I was scheduled to arrive at JFK mid afternoon and my connect flight got cancelled and rebooked into LGA. I called and they nicely found me a driver to pick me up at LGA with a new arrival time. Unfortunately my flight kept getting delayed into LGA due to weather in NYC. I kept the driver informed and ended up being 2 hours late. Gustavo was very patient with my changes. I arrived in NY with Gustavo in a suburban. Ugh oh as the company did not relay the message for the car change. At this point I was just happy to have a ride. At nearly midnight, it took over an hour and a half for him to get from EWR to my hotel in the Financial District. Talked to customer service. He's only been driving for two weeks. They promise to refund my money. Then, they don't provide the refund (rather, they charge me twice what they quoted, in writing, in an email). I call, and call, and call. No response. They never pick up the phone. I dispute the charge with my credit card. They respond to the credit card company and refuse to refund the charge. I don't expect much from airport car service. Show up on time. Know how to get where I'm going. WiroLimo offered neither. Save your money and your time - use another car service. read more

Tonight they left me high and dry. I land at JFK after traveling 28 hours from Asia.noboddy was there, I wait around for 25 min having faith in them. Nope ! I rode with this company from JFK to Hoboken. I was immediately very impressed with the DETAILED email I received and being greeted by name when I called with a question. The driver texted me the day before so I had his name and telephone number which I thought was great-especially since my flight took off 1.5 hrs late! I landed and texted him and went out to the curb, only to be told that he was waiting at baggage claim (I had an email stating that I was indeed signed up for curb side pickup.) My driver immediately seemed miffed about that (baggage claim meet and greet is $30 extra.) When we hit traffic at the Holland Tunnel, I was pretty surprised and disappointed at his angry reaction considering he drives in one of the most crowded cities in America for a living. NYC traffic is terrible-even at 1:30 in the morning. It just didn't seem professional at all. When he dropped me off at my door at 2:10am, I asked how much the TOTAL bill would be if I paid by card (note that the tax and gratuity is what makes up that 20% charge.) He told me that there was a $20 fee for work between 2-5am. I was pretty disappointed that there wasn't even a 10 minute grace period. He said my total bill would be $185. I got back to my apartment and emailed William relaying my final conversation with the driver about the final total. I also asked him to please call me before charging me because I hadn't heard anything about that 2-5am fee before. Instead, I got a copy of my receipt and an email saying that the $20 late night fee goes from midnight-5am. My original arrival time was 11:30PM so I most definitely would not have been back in Hoboken by midnight and yet there was no prior mention of that fee. My final interaction with this company left a sour taste in my mouth and this avid traveler will not be utilizing this company's services on anymore of my trips. read more

While I am a big fan of the NYC MTA, I'm not one of those intrepid souls who takes public transportation to the airport. So, after too many 7's and 6's, and after reading the glowing reviews for WiroLimo on yelp, I had to check 'em out. William, who runs a tight ship over there, is affable and professional. He is proactive, and texts confirmations, which is a boon. And he remembered who I was the second time I called him, which was 3 months after the first time. That's cool. My first trip with Wiro was to Newark. I felt like a nice old uncle was driving me. The second was to LGA. The driver wasn't particularly friendly, but he got me from point A to B with ease. Car services are expensive, and this one's no different. But I'd rather pay mah money and get good service than feel cheated before I even start my trip. My wife and our three children travelled to NYC for the holidays. While there we were stuck in Snowpocalypse 2010. This was a fantastic thing until it was time to head home. All fights out of NYC were cancelled. Our travel agent was able to book us a flight out of Washington DC. The only problem was getting to DC from Midtown Manhattan. William was scheduled to pick us up at 10:30 am. We learned of the cancellation at 10:15 am. William showed up on time. We explained the situation, and asked if he could drive us to DC instead of the Newark airport. Without blinking he said yes. His 45 minute drive was now 4 hours, but he had no hesitation accommodating us for a very fair price. Why WiroLimo Is So Good... Professional His professionalism was put to the test on this trip when rare & lengthy traffic delays on the way to DC turned the 4 hour trip into a 7 hour disaster. Any other NYC driver would have been very upset & justified to be so. Not William. He maintained his professional composure, and using the latest technology, worked hard to avoid all delays he could. He never cursed, raised his voice, or showed any sign of anger while driving my family. He kept a cool head, and kept us all safe. Technology This guy has technology that hasn't been invented yet! He keeps an iPad, iPhone, wireless hotspot, multiple GPS's and a couple of other phones to make sure he's always in contact with real time info about the trip. All his systems are redundant to ensure he is never out of contact. He received traffic reports constantly, and could alter the route accordingly. On top of technology for his use, he kept our three children occupied with movies on the way down, and power + internet access for everyone's laptops. This guy's vehicle has more amenities than a room at the Waldorf Astoria (and at a much lower price!) Absolutely amazing. Safety & Comfort His primary concern was my family arriving safely, on time, and comfortably. With all that technology he was never distracted. He focused on the road, and would review traffic info on computer screens only when safe to do so. He's a very skilled driver. He stopped for bathroom breaks as often as requested (my youngest is six). Communication We hired WiroLimo to pick us up from Newark when we arrived. William was not our driver on that trip, but our driver shared William's passion for professionalism. He was in constant contact with us beforehand, and picked us up on time, and in the right spot. His proactive communication made sure we knew how to meet him for the pick-up. William had the same level of proactive communication. After dropping us off, he followed up with a text asking if we made the flight OK. Had we not, I've no doubt he would have turned back around to DC in order to get us to a hotel for the night. Summary... I cannot say enough good things about WiroLimo. In any company it's rare to find flawless customer service. In a NYC transportation company it's nearly impossible unless you are Jay-Z. WiroLimo treats you like a VIP every time. William & his SUV turned what should have been a travelling tragedy into a very comfortable trip. After much and I mean much viewing of reviews for car service to and from the airport, I decided on giving WiroLimo a chance! By reading some of the reviews I was a little apprehensive but after using them from and to the airport (today) I must say that they are great! I made my reservations online and due to there advisement I opted to pay cash as opposed to paying with a credit card and being impacted by the merchant fee! They first email you advising that they have received your request, you should then shortly get an email confirming your reservation (I got my email within the same day)! Anytime I called them to either inquire about something or make a change they picked up the phone and (I'm guessing through caller ID) immediately picked up the phone addressing me by my name (nice). The driver was on time and offered bottled water to drink, they allow you to sit in the car as they place your items in the car. The vehicle (a late model SUV on both occasions) was clean inside and out! Also on both occasions I received a text message directly from the driver providing me with their number, name and confirming what time they would be picking me up! When I travel in NYC I will always be using these guys! read more

I thought it was about time for one more update as I have been using William pretty extensively since I wrote my first review. Let's see, we've used him for day-long business trips throughout the city that require frequent stops (MUCH better than Carmel or Carey - and no where near as $$$); I've used him countless times to and from the airport and my friends now use him just as much (D's Mom and Dad even used him the other day and were VERY impressed!) But best of all, he's a fantastic guy whose main goal is clearly to form relationships with his clients and to provide exceptional customer service. He was telling me last night (after picking me up at midnight from JFK and working since 9am that morning) that after dropping me off, he was picking up another couple at 4am from a hotel across the street from LaGuardia and driving them to LaGuardia. Which to anyone else would be ridiculous, but that just goes to show you that he will do whatever it takes to make sure you're getting wherever you need to go - and all with a smile. If it wasn't obvious from my review(s), I'll say it again: William has my business and my company's business moving forward - he provides an exceptional degree of service you just can't get from anyone else. Did not meet "William" but not sure how this company has so many good reviews....Unless they wrote all these positive reviews themselves. Used their service once, never again. It started very good though. Responses from "William" by text and email were very prompt and I expected the service to be the same, smooth and flawless. But no such luck. It was overpriced and I had to wait for a car at the airport after a long flight and the driver played with the radio and his cell phone at his will the whole trip. Price suddenly went up upon arrival, despite the fact that it was confirmed by emai from "William" the day before. On top of that the rude driver did not want to give a change at all! Dare I say it, but William continues to provide great service across the last few months. Three separate trips, three separate great pickups. 1) I had to go to JFK from Hoboken at 5:30 in the morning. The driver was there, helped me with my bags, got me there without any problems. Just a great, quick service all booked via an email the night before. 2) I arrived back to JFK at 1:30AM. I was exhausted, sick and generally not in the best mood - and there was a line of 35 people chomping at the bit to get a cab, when there were no other cabs. It was hell. William's car sat there, waiting for me with a sign with my name on it. I got into the car, and the guy pointed to next to my seat. "It's late. I got you a water, I figured you'd want it. It's free, don't worry." God damn that was the best water I've ever had. 3) My parents arrived from London, and William's driver picked them up as planned. Just easy and simple. Great cars, too - seriously these things are roomy and nice. So, yeah, just ignore any other car service. read more

And though I booked the service at the last minute each time, it was a snap to book a reservation. William was speedy and responsive, and the drivers were prompt, efficient, professional and friendly. Both the SUV and the sedan that we rode were plush, comfortable and spotlessly clean -- so much so that even my paranoid wife banished all NYC bedbug-related fears. The driver who took us to the airport worked particularly hard to get us to JFK in time for our flight. After encountering bumper-to-bumper traffic, our driver got off the LIE and sped down Queens Boulevard -- all the while reassuring us that he'd get us there with time to spare. (And he did!) Once again, WIRO LIMO did not disappoint. Felipe arrived on time (actually, earlier than expected) and I was out of my meeting 15 minutes early, which was fantastic. Received a text from Felipe that he was awaiting my arrival, which was great. My cell phone was out of power. Felipe allowed me to coordinate my meeting with my husband for dinner, using his cell phone. How great is that? But what was amazing, is that he had a cell phone charging wire for my phone as well! I run my business off of my cell phone, so this was absolutely wonderful!!!! Traffic leaving NYC at rush hour sucked. Definitely not the driver's fault, but Felipe took the back roads (I know NY City well) and got me to my destination safely and avoided the world's longest parking lot (the L.I.E.) I will continue to use this service on a regular basis. I book my trips through their site the night before and receive confirmation via e-mail. Seamless. I decided to use Wiro Limo strictly based upon Yelper's reviews. Despite the high rating others have given this car service, I must respectfully disagree. Firstly, upon arriving to JFK from LA, I was happy to see my driver waiting for me in baggage claim. I totally didn't even trip that I waited for him to get coffee on the long line. I did find it odd and very annoying when upon getting me to my destination he looked forlorn when I told him I would be paying by credit card which I found to be convenient since tolls, tax & tip are included. Moving on... I also used Wiro for a trip from Lower Manhattan to LGA and once again upon arriving at the airport the driver appeared let down when I told him I would be paying for the credit card already on file. Given this happened twice, it just makes sense for the policy to either be cash only or instruct the drivers whether the passenger will be paying via credit card. Everything else was fine although the first car could have been a bit nicer. The second car was an SUV which was nicer and it was also nice that I wasn't charged extra for riding in a larger car (which makes sense anyway given I didn't request an SUV). read more

I booked WireLimo for a recent trip with my mom to NYC. Online booking for our round trip from JFK to Manhattan was easy and I promptly received email and text message confirmation for the booking. The driver who picked us up at JFK (Teo) texted me the day before pick-up confirming the date and time. He was waiting for us outside the terminal. Despite the fact that the streets on his normal route were blocked due to activity at the UN and traffic was extremely heavy, Teo skillfully navigated through Brooklyn and Manhattan to get us to our hotel. For our return, our driver, Henry, also texted me the night before, confirming the pick up. He was right on time and we had a quick 30 minute ride to JFK. Both drivers were professional and courteous and their vehicles (one was a sedan, one was an SUV) were clean and comfortable. I was in NYC on business, and I needed a car service to take me from near Battery Park to JFK. I did a web search, and read the reviews about various companies. It was clear from the reviews that WiroLimo was a good choice; and I was not disappointed. I was very impressed with their communication with me via email and text messages: First: I had to change my pick-up time, and that was handled quickly and easily by Freddy (via email) just the night before. Then: It appeared that my meeting might end a bit early, and I was hoping to get out ASAP as I had been told that the drive to JFK on a Friday would be long, due to all the traffic. I had been texted by Ronald earlier to introduce himself (very nice), so it was easy to contact him and see if he had any flexibility with the pick-up time. Ronald related that he did have some flexibility, if I was able to alert him with enough lead time. So, I did. Ronald arrived exactly when I had hoped (just before my meeting was completed), so I was able to get out to the curb earlier than initially planned. The traffic was crazy in the area during rush hour on Friday, and he had a difficult time getting to me (he could not legally stop and wait because of the traffic and the bus stop). We texted back and forth, and he kept me apprised of where he was. When he was unable to get to me curbside, he parked on a side street a short distance away and came looking for me! I appreciated this a great deal. I was very relieved to finally be in the car and on my way (worried that I might miss my flight). Ronald used his knowledge of the city to take a route that he felt would be less congested. He did a great job and I made it to my flight just in time, thanks to him. He was a very nice young man, and we had a friendly conversation along the way. WiroLimo has a fantastic employee and representative in Ronald. I hope they value him. I appreciate WiroLimo for their professionalism and great customer communication. I recommend them without reservation. / read more

It's been 7 years since my first trip to NYC and my first experience with WiroLimo and they proved themselves again! I just returned from my second trip to NYC. I had no doubt I would go with WiroLimo again. They picked me up from JFK and dropped me off at my AirBnB in Midtown. And 6 days later they picked me up from the AirBnB and back to JFK. Henry was our driver for both trips. He was great! Really sweet and kind. I love that they text to confirm and to stay in touch, so easy. Scheduling the pick-ups from their website was also easy. My husband and I were amazed that neither of the rides did Henry use a GPS/mapping app. He seemed to know the city like the back of his hand. We felt very safe in his care. I cannot recommend WiroLimo and Henry highly enough! It's so nice to have one less thing to worry about. read more

I booked WiroLimo for my pickup from LaGuardia to my hotel in Times Square. There was great communication right from the start. I received a reminder text with instructions prior to my arrival. The vehicle was a late model, very clean SUV. I requested 2 car seats and he had both. My driver was great. I waited to see how my experience was before I booked the departure, which I ended up doing. Again, a similar experience. Great comm, nice clean vehicle & great driver. Overall great experience.
