They have the most polite customer service staff that never actually fix anything, calling them is basically a complete waste of time, every time there's been an issue and there's been multiple, the folks on the line basically do absolutely nothing to help, although they are incredibly polite as they do absolutely nothing to help. Over six months we've had issue and they are still trying to figure it out. WireStar is absolute garbage for internet providers. One of the most incompetent companies out there. If you are looking at apartment buildings or for personal/business use, RUN don't walk from WireStar. Nothing but issues since August 2025 and we are in February now. The internet is slow, always disconnecting, and you cannot access certain sites/apps like HBO, Prime TV, Redditt, etc. All you get is, "We're working on it" when you call or email them. Wirestar is the bulk provider for my building. It is absolute trash. The worst part is? It didn't used to be. We had the occasional, like once every few months, issue or outage. And they always set up a temporary wifi service while they fixed it. Then they did some sort of upgrade a few months ago and since then? I have to go to coffee shops for my video calls, as just an example of how bad the service has become. My building is fighting with them to fix the issue and they have been utterly unresponsive to the concerns. I work from home, so an internet connection is sorta kinda preeminent on my list of must haves. Do not recommend. read more

Zero trust in the reliability of the connection. Within 1 month of living in my complex (which has their internet contracted through WireStar), I've had to call support over 15 times, only to hear the same thing over and over and over again - 'we are working on it and will let you know when it's up'. Even had a rep come to push a 'fix' yet the internet has cut out throughout the day multiple times in the 7 days. No one wants to take responsibility for it, or even fix it...if your apartment is contracting internet through WireStar, I STRONGLY encourage you to look elsewhere. 0/10 - Would not recommend WireStar or moving into any complex that requires you to purchase it. The internet is constantly down and takes days to resolve (currently have been down for 3+ days with internet speeds of .49mbps; but WireStart doesn't know what the problem is or when a resolution could be expected). When you call in to customer support, they have no information and do not complete the follow actions they promise. They've even once said, "They don't have more information because they're based out of another state"; which is extremely unhelpful and not my issue as a consumer. read more

I want to give zero stars. Been at my new apartment for several days and can't even sign up for service due to some server issue application error I've gotten absolutely nowhere with them the customer service is atrocious and they can't offer any solutions meanwhile I can't do my schooling and my children can't even watch TV or movies. If I could have another see service provider I would. Can't say how the actual service is because I havent even had a chance to even use it yet. But judging by how things have gone already it's not looking very promising. Very disappointed. They made several tickets and repeatedly said that they would call me back and never do and now it's oh we will call when the issue with the app server is fixed. I highly doubt it. I just moved into an apartment that only has them as the Internet provider. Within 2 weeks, they went down twice and across several days. Internet is constantly disconnect, multiple tickets that takes days to fix. I cannot believe such an internet company still exist in America. Absolutely horrible internet service provider. The moment the installer technician came into our apartment and started belching and passing gas it has been nothing but downhill from there. The serivce is constantly down, slow speeds, and absolutely horrible customer service with no solutions whatsoever. The entire reason we are not renewwing our lease at a Greystar property is because of this mandatory internet service that is charging 80.00 per month for a service that does not work. There needs to be government regulation on forbidding multi family property managment companies from stifling free trade and competition by forcing their tennants to pay for a service that does not work. Apartments in Texas have abused junk fees and this is the final straw. I will never live in a property that has Wirestar service again. Be warned if you are a remote worker, they will cost you your employment because you will not be able to do your job. read more

I just moved into an apartment that only uses them as the Internet provider. How, how do they get these contracts within 2 weeks I've had over a full day of outages, they still haven't fixed our IP geolocation from the other side of the country raising massive ping spikes, and in no way is the download speed the amount they advertise. This is the worst service I've ever gotten from a company. Not only an internet service provider, but the worst service I've ever had in general. I've had issues with my internet (which I rely on to earn my living) since I moved into my building. My building doesn't offer any other internet providers, so my only option was wirestar networks. At first, they didn't even recognize that there are issues with my connection, and only after 6 months of me calling every day and sending in proof (video, pictures, screenshots) of my connectivity issues - did they recognize that there are issues on their side. Two months have gone by since, and I have still received 0 updates regarding what they are doing to fix these issues, despite sending followup emails frequently. I would not recommend this service to anyone who wants to have stable, reliable internet. read more

I recently moved to College Station, and I am a few miles from Milican, so I knew Cable was not going to be an option. Well I talked to the wonderful staff, they answered my questions, I thought I knew what I wanted. But I was wrong. WireStar has a new WiFi product that has super speed without a satellite dish or cable connection. I don't know all the technological jargon but I do know that it is faster then my cable wifi was in Houston. The phone staff was very helpful and the installers did a wonderful job. I highly recommend this new service from this company. read more

This company is the only option provided by my new apartment complex and it has been a nightmare for over one year and counting now... extremely unreliable due to constant outages with no solution, such as a temporary network is ever given. Outages can last anywhere from 24 hours-an ENTIRE weekend on one occasion. They never have remorse for their terrible service and never offer a percentage of your bill, even though several days each month you cannot even use the Internet...beyond ridiculous! I have considered moving just to get away from this company. Not to mention they refuse to work with a national program that proves discounts to single parent households, even though they are required by law to comply with that benefit specifically. read more

If I could give them zero stars I would. I have had this internet company in my apartment for a year. Within that time I've had several major outages. When you call, the techs have no solution, all they know is that there is an issue they have no idea when it'll be up. When you call to report an outage you get told we are aware and no ticket number is made(they do not report the issue). If you ask to speak to a tech on the second tier you get told everyone is busy. I have had a tech tell me that when they call the person who is on call, that they do not answer the call or get on to try to fix the issue. The on call person will leave the issue for the morning leaving customers without internet for 16+ hours. This company makes it apparent with the interactions I have had with them that they do NOT value their customers. If I could switch internet providers I would. If you work from home or go to school steer clear of this company if you want to get anything done without a headache. read more

I have used WireStar Networks for 7 years now and I have had a tremendous amount of trouble with my internet over all the years, but the reason I am writing this review is because their contract for our DirecTV service. My cable has only been able to work on low resolution, because the real DirecTV technician says the dish on the roof for our building is out of line. The technician is unable to work on the dish because WireStar Networks has a special contract with our HOA. When I called to get an appointment with WireStar, they say that I will have to pay a service call of $125, plus it will be 10 days before they can come out. When I told the person on the phone, I didn't think that was fair or right, he just laughed and said I just work here and that is the way it is. read more

We moved into our new house and it has been a WEEK of techs coming back and forth to install our internet. They promise things and don't follow through. They tell me to be at my residence at a certain time and would be an hour or over late. I would come home and have to wait around for them all day just for them to make an excuse and tell me they'd have to come back another day.
